In this episode of Space Coast Stories, I interview Tanveer Syed, a Ph.D. student at Florida Tech. Tanveer is pursuing a Doctorate in Science Education with a mission to study how technology can be used to help visually impaired students learn. Tanveer is a legally blind student who combines his personal experiences with a solid educational background to develop more inclusive solutions for delivering educational principles. His educational background includes a BSC Honors Degree in Human Physiology from the University of Leeds, an MSC in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Bradford, and a Master’s of Arts in Education and Human Development from George Washington University right here in the United States.

This week, I interview Christina Principe, a licensed Mental Health Counselor on Florida's Space Coast. Christina explains how using Mindfulness in her practice helps her guide people through times of transition in their lives.
In this episode, I talk to Kristen Barry about how the diagnostic tool thermography can help find health issues while there is still time to make changes and resolve these issues. We talk about breast thermography versus mammograms and how this non-invasive procedure can detect problems with breast tissue before tumors form. And, while many people think of thermography only in regards to breast exams, Kristen showed us ways it can help with many other areas of our bodies to help us achieve optimal health.

In the 1970's movies and books spread tales of strange disappearances in The Bermuda Triangle. While many scientific theories are available for the planes and boats that have disappeared, sometimes without a trace, the legends rely on the supernatural and mysterious with theories ranging from aliens to the lost city of Atlantis. One of the most famous incidents occurred on December 5, 1945 when a squadron left Ft. Lauderdale Naval Air Station on a routine training mission and was never seen, again. Florida's Space Coast played a role in this part of the legend.
