Haley Taylor talks with Grammy nominated composer and clarinetist Derek Bermel about his new album Migrations. This week on the OTCBPodcast, we get you set for the opening round of the NLL Playoffs with four fantastic friends of the show. When the Rock and Thunderbirds start things off Friday Night, Jon Abbott will have the best seat in the house along side Pat inside First Ontario Centre. We discuss the value of Nick Rose, the importance of a hot start and whether or not Halifax can indeed stop the Rock. The West semi-finals gets underway in Calgary as the Roughnecks and Mammoth renew their historic, yet very one-sided rivalry. Jamie Shewchuk has played in a few of those games and breaks down the best goalie matchup in round 1, two-3headed monsters as well trying slow down the transition game. On Saturday, once again the East begins the festivities when Buffalo hosts Albany in what should be a very rough and tumble lacrosse game. Steve Bermel will have colour duties for this one and we ask him if the Bandits will unleash the hounds, can Dougie steal this game and who's depth will play a bigger role. Finally, Cooper Perkins checks in from San Diego as the West's top-seeded Seals welcome the wild card Wings. Just a few weeks ago, the Wings got their one and only win against a team above .500 and it just so happened to be against the Seals. In a one-and-done showdown, can lightening strike twice? Plus thumbs-up, thumbs-down and our most ludicrous BoxBet of the year on this week's OTCB.
A college golf coaching lifer, Jamie Bermel has had success everywhere he has been, from crafting successful teams to getting individual players to reach their best, including Masters champ Zach Johnson and other fine pros.
Curt and Robin were instrumental in the launch of the AFJ - LW ministry and share their beautiful life of abiding and living in unity with God.
My guest on this episode is Jamie Bermel, Kansas Men's Golf Coach. The Jayhawks racked up four consecutive stroke play victories this past fall and will be looking to challenge for the Big 12 Conference title later this spring. Coach Bermel shared some stories from his start in Iowa that led him into coaching. Easter 2020 will go down in history as something very special - activities to suppress the corona virus have severely restricted freedom of movement in many countries. At least we were able to enjoy the beautiful weather in Germany - subject to conditions. In other places around the world it was very different. I very much hope that the situation will slowly relax as we continue to do our part. And dear Andreas tries to distract you fans with a new edition of "XtraChill" at least twice a month.
