Our goal is to discuss American Agriculture from a farmers point of view. We'll discuss current farming trends, machinery from the past and present, how the farming community has changed for the better and worse, and the sometimes unintended consequences of ag policies from Washington D.C. Grab a cold beer and come join us!!!
The Straight Forward Farming podcast is a hidden gem that I stumbled upon recently, despite not even knowing what a podcast was until recently. As an older farmer from Oklahoma, I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could relate to everything Tony and his guests talk about on the show. The subjects they cover are interesting and informative, making each episode both entertaining and knowledgeable.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is Tony's straightforward and honest approach. He gives it to you straight and provides a lot of valuable information for anyone wanting to learn about farming or who is already a farmer. Listening to Tony feels like having a conversation with him in his trailer at a pull - there's no difference between the podcast and talking to him in person. The topics covered on the show have great variance, ranging from emissions equipment to Honda three-wheelers, ensuring that there's something for everyone.
Another great aspect is the authenticity of the conversations. Nothing feels forced or scripted on this podcast. It feels like sitting in the shop with Tony and his guests, drinking a beer and talking tractors. This relatable atmosphere makes it easy for listeners to engage with the content and feel like part of the conversation. I even found myself using quotes from episodes in my research paper!
As someone who enjoys hanging out with friends in the shop while discussing tractors, this podcast is hands down the best choice for me. Tony does an excellent job of creating an immersive experience where you can almost feel like you're right there alongside him and his guests. It's like having your buddies over for a beer while talking shop.
In conclusion, I love listening to The Straight Forward Farming podcast as it provides an enjoyable experience full of relatable stories and valuable information. As someone who isn't a farmer but has connections to it through family history, this podcast allows me to stay connected with agriculture while also learning about how farming practices have evolved over time. Whether you're a seasoned farmer or someone with a casual interest in farming, I highly recommend giving this podcast a listen. Tony and his team do an incredible job of making it both fun and informative, keeping you eagerly awaiting each new episode.
