In this pre-Christmas episode, Ghost dives into a provocative investigation surrounding the demolition of the White House East Wing and President Trump's proposed ballroom project. What begins as an architectural change opens into a deeper discussion about underground construction, energy infrastructure, and the growing role of secure power systems in Washington, D.C. Ghost walks through emerging theories tied to new substations, gas-insulated electrical systems, and the unusual scale and secrecy surrounding the project. The episode also explores the broader implications of private funding, national security classifications, and how modern data, intelligence, and power demands may be reshaping the physical landscape of governance. Along the way, Ghost connects these developments to geopolitical tensions, military involvement, and the technological arms race playing out beneath public view. As the final broadcast before Christmas, this episode blends technical analysis, geopolitical insight, and strategic speculation, offering listeners a detailed look at what may be happening below the surface, both literally and politically.
Welcome to this special episode of the Rural Roundup, one of a six-part series called “Unsung Heroes”. In this episode Calum Johnston visits Alex Marshall and Heather Dyet at Haggs Farm where 3 generations of the family are currently farming, including Heather's grandmother, Mother Janice, brother Alex, and her father Alex, who also joins us on this episode. They tell us about their recent upgrade to a slurry separator. Through speaking to both Heather and dad Alex it was clear that on their family dairy farm, their unsung hero is machinery. Their slurry separator has improved farm efficiencies, grass and soil health, so much so they call it “liquid gold”. One of the efficiencies is applying two thirds less fertiliser which has a massive carbon footprint reduction. Later in the episode James Orr an Agricultural Advisor with a special interest in the carbon footprint of livestock systems, will tell us more about this Unsung Hero, the benefits, the things to know if you're considering it, and the positive impact it could have on your farm or croft, and on the planet! Thanks for joining us for this special episode of the Rural Roundup. Check out the other five episodes of the Unsung Heroes series, all available to listen wherever you normally do, right now! If you'd like to get in touch or find out more about anything we discussed in the Podcast, head to the show notes. Welcome to this special episode of the Rural Roundup, one of a six-part series called “Unsung Heroes”. In this episode Calum Johnston sits down one on one with James Orr an Agricultural Advisor with a special interest in the carbon footprint of livestock systems. In the previous five episodes we heard from Farmers from five different beef and dairy farms in South West Scotland about their “Unsung Heroes”. Technology, Data, Biodiversity, Machinery and Efficiency. These Farmers and their Farms evidence that livestock farming in Scotland, has been constantly evolving, improving their practices not only for better profitability, better resilience, better output and better lives, but by doing these things, and making changes big or small, they are reducing their impact on the planet day, by day. James is going to tell us more about some of his other “Unsung Heroes” not just for Beef & Dairy Farms, but applicable to any agricultural system, and also give us his view on Agriculture's current position in the climate change conversation. Thanks for joining us for this special episode of the Rural Roundup. Check out the other five episodes of the Unsung Heroes series, all available to listen wherever you normally do, right now! This final episode for 2025 has no tips, no tactics, no strategies. Just a moment to acknowledge the grief, exhaustion, and weight so many of us—especially in the nonprofit sector—are carrying right now.If leadership feels heavier than usual…If fundraising feels harder…If you're tired but still showing up anyway…This episode is for you.Nonprofits are the quiet machinery of hope. When the world burns, we're the ones stitching it back together. That work isn't glamorous, but it matters deeply. You don't need to fix the whole world today. You just need to keep your corner lit.Give yourself permission to rest, to feel, and then—when you're ready—to come back steady in 2026. Because hope isn't passive. Hope is funded.Happy holidays, friends. Take care of yourselves. And as always—get that money, honey.
Jon Herold and Zak Paine continue their deep examination of MKUltra, recovered memories, and the systems built to discredit survivors of extreme abuse. This episode centers on the creation and purpose of the False Memory Syndrome Foundation, breaking down how psychology, academia, and media were used to cast doubt on childhood trauma testimony. Jon and Zak walk through documented cases, survivor accounts, and historical context to explain trauma bonding, memory suppression, and the role of institutions in protecting perpetrators. They connect these patterns to modern information warfare, showing how authority and consensus are used to shape belief and dismiss uncomfortable truths. Episode 163 provides critical context for understanding how reality can be engineered, and why certain stories are labeled “baseless” before they're ever examined.

Today's episode is a tangible example of a company in the "natural capital" space. While not traditional agtech, the Hydrowood journey hits familiar themes: building a business within nature's constraints, managing capital intensity, and the frustrating search for the right investors.Andrew Morgan watched the Pieman River in Tasmania dam in the 1970s. In 1986, Lake Pieman flooded, submerging centuries-old forests. Many years later, he and co-founder David Wise spotted trees protruding from the dark water- large quantities of native species like Huon Pine, Tasmanian Myrtle, and Sassafras. The timber was salvageable, but they needed underwater logging technology that wouldn't disturb the lake's ecosystem. This led to the founding of Hydrowood. Today, the business has attracted millions in investment and high-end brand partnerships, but the journey has been far from easy.In this episode, guest host Adam Taylor, Insights Lead at Tenacious, and Andrew Morgan discuss:Why the Hydrowood narrative captivates investors and mediaTrading off custom versus standard machinery to lower financial riskPivoting to crowdfunding when traditional investment proved difficultThe future of sustainable and ethical forestryAndrew is also the Managing Director of SFM, an asset manager for large-scale plantation estates and carbon project developer.Useful Links:The economics of valuing natural capital, with Ken HenryHydrowood featured in first global flagship store by R.M WilliamsAustralian Carbon Credit Unit Scheme | Clean Energy RegulatorOnMarket crowd-sourced fundingForest Economics Congress, MONAFor more information and resources, visit our website. Jonathan Drake goes live for Episode 10 and delivers a sweeping, deeply researched conclusion to his study of Lysander Spooner's No Treason, tying together the Civil War, tariffs, banking panics, and the rise of centralized federal power. He revisits Spooner's argument that the Constitution has either authorized tyranny or failed to prevent it, then walks through the appendix, the moral implications of consent, and the legal fiction of national debt. Jonathan explores the Panic of 1837, British credit manipulation, the cotton economy, Northern financial dominance, and the cascading economic forces that set the stage for secession. He maps Spooner's claims onto real historical data, tariff battles, immigration-driven political shifts, banking collapses, railroad cartelization, and the post-war consolidation of authority, showing how a generations-long chain of financial engineering shaped the America we know today. With humor, live-chat banter, sponsor breaks, and a final tease of his upcoming Trial by Jury series, Jonathan closes the chapter on No Treason by returning to Spooner's core warning: all political power rests on the control of money, and liberty requires breaking that bond.
The federal government has committed to extending Right to Repair laws to agricultural machinery. The laws, which are currently in place for light vehicles, would mean farmers can either repair their own machinery like tractors, or use third party mechanics instead of sending it back to the manufacturer. Rural Editor Emily Minney spoke to National Farmers Federation President Hamish McIntyre about the reforms.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
According to L.M's account, Jeffrey Epstein cast her aside once she became pregnant — not because he suddenly gained a conscience, but because she was no longer of use to him physically. She alleges that instead of simply letting her go, he instructed her to recruit around seventy underage girls to feed his trafficking pipeline. That number is horrifying. It exposes Epstein not just as a singular predator but as the engineer of an organized system of abuse, deliberately recycling victims into tools to harvest new victims. It's a portrait of exploitation as strategy — a machine designed to destroy girls in bulk.L.M. says Epstein “bought the entire baby registry” for her child, which is one of the most revolting details to emerge from this saga. It wasn't kindness; it was psychological control, a grotesque attempt to brand himself as a benefactor to someone he had already devastated. The gesture shows the depth of his manipulation — domination disguised as generosity, ownership masquerading as support. It's a sickening reminder that Epstein's power wasn't just physical or financial, but emotional, parasitic, and cruel. Over the past few years, the conversation about autonomy in agtech has moved from “but, does it work?” to “how can I get started?” This is a significant shift, indicative of autonomous machinery becoming a fully commercial category in agriculture. In this episode, Matthew Pryor, Founding Partner at Tenacious Ventures, discusses his recent observations at the Gatton Agtech Showcase, in QLD, Australia, highlighting the move towards production-ready autonomous machinery. He discusses how structure is now emerging in the Australian agtech autonomy market, including in sales and distribution, with a mix of companies from established equipment dealers to venture backed scale-ups. He predicts growth in this market to only compound in the coming years.Matthew and Sarah are joined by Shane Thomas, founder of Upstream Ag Insights, to also dive into recent agtech news and market trends. They discuss:The role of traditional dealership networks in an autonomous futureThe potential misuse of the term ‘autonomous'Regional variations in market dynamics around autonomy between Australia, the US, and CanadaThe forces reshaping crop protection, including the rise of non-chemical solutions such as laser weeding and electric weed controlUseful Links:Carbon Robotics raises $20m to build ‘another AI robot'?, AgFunder News Monarch Tractor sued over tractors that were 'unable to operate autonomously', TechCrunchIs Farmers' Traditional Loyalty to Ag Equipment Colors Fading?, Farm EquipmentThe Four Forces reshaping the crop protection industry and what comes next, Upstream Ag InsightsThe Generics Revolution and the New Economic Geography of the Global Pesticide Industry, Journal of Agrarian ChangeThe Race to Define the Future of Ag Retail with Shane Thomas of Upstream Ag Insights, Agtech So What?Getting into the Weeds: AI, Computer Vision, and the Future of Non-Chemical Weeding, Agtech So What?Investment Notes: Azaneo, Tenacious VenturesDisrupting the AgTech Ecosystem with Ron Adner, Agtech So What?Vavilovian Mimicry, BionityFor more information and resources, visit our website. In this dense and thought-provoking episode of The No Treason Podcast, Jonathan Drake dives straight into Lysander Spooner's dismantling of government legitimacy. Jonathan walks listeners through Spooner's shift from exposing the Constitution's fatal contradictions to identifying the true structure of modern slavery—beginning with treaties and government debt. He breaks down why treaties fail every standard of natural law, why no agent of government can prove lawful consent to enter them, and how these agreements entangle millions of people in obligations they never accepted. Jonathan then tackles Spooner's devastating critique of national debt—showing how a “secret band” of unaccountable agents borrows in darkness, uses criminal purposes as justification, and binds future generations through coercion, taxation, and fraud. Alongside Spooner's logic, Jonathan explores apophatic reasoning, natural law, anarcho-capitalist debates, election secrecy, and the moral implications of political power itself. Sponsors, live-chat reflections, and Jonathan's signature philosophical clarity round out a rigorous exploration of consent, sovereignty, and the machinery that keeps citizens trapped in manufactured obligations.

Virginia Giuffre's memoir Nobody's Girl doesn't just tell a story—it indicts an entire system built on power, grooming, and silence. In this episode of Hidden Killers Live, Tony Brueski, Stacy Cole, and Todd Michaels sits down with FBI veteran Robin Dreeke to map out how the Epstein-Maxwell machine turned trauma into obedience and money into immunity. Dreeke unpacks every psychological layer: how parental betrayal created lifelong vulnerability, how Maxwell's “female reassurance” normalized exploitation, and how fear—not force—enslaved an entire network of victims. He also explores why Giuffre's brutal honesty about recruiting other girls actually proves her credibility, and what that means for how investigators should interpret survivor testimony going forward. In this timely market update, DPA's Luke Stamp joins Farm4Profit to break down the state of the farm equipment marketplace as we move through Fall 2025. Luke opens with a direct comparison to this time last year — sales volume, auction activity, and market strength — then drills into the big-picture factors shaping demand: bankruptcies and liquidations, dealership consolidation, macroeconomic drivers (interest rates and finance availability), and geopolitical influences like trade with China and global instability.Key topics covered:• Year-over-Year Market Snapshot — Did 2025 see more or fewer sales than 2024? Luke shares DPA's internal data, highlights where activity has increased or slowed, and explains the seasonal rhythms buyers and sellers should expect.• Who's Selling & Who's Buying — From operators and custom harvesters to dealerships, auction consignors, and investors — Luke outlines the typical seller and buyer profiles this year and how those groups have shifted.• Dealership Consolidation — Are dealers consolidating inventory and market share? We discuss trends in dealer-to-dealer buying, trade-in flows, and how consolidation changes local market dynamics.• Macro & Policy Influences — How (and whether) Farm Bill chatter, China relations, and the war in Ukraine filter into equipment pricing and buyer confidence. Luke explains which global headlines actually move markets and which mostly create noise.• New Equipment vs. Used Market — What's happening with new equipment demand, lead times, and ordering? Then, how that reverberates into the used market — which models are sought-after and which are being traded in.• Hot Items & Laggards — Specific categories Luke sees strong demand for (e.g., certain sprayer platforms, high-horsepower tractors, specific planter or tillage technology) and what's not moving (older, high-hours, or hard-to-service models). We call out examples like quad-tracks, JD 1000-series, specialty harvest equipment, and where buyer interest is concentrated.• Seller Best Practices — When sellers do well, it's rarely luck. Luke shares tactics that set successful sales apart: timing, pre-sale preparation, clear maintenance records, realistic reserves, and effective marketing.• Advice for Buyers — Luke flips the script with actionable tips: where to find best deals, when to act, and how to evaluate lots to avoid costly surprises.• Winter 2026 Outlook & Predictions — Closing with a forward look, Luke gives his educated read on what the winter market may bring, including expected demand shifts, pricing pressure zones, and what listeners should track between now and spring. It's an unflinching breakdown of the behavioral playbook behind one of the darkest crimes of our generation—and a warning that the machinery of silence is still running. #VirginiaGiuffre #JeffreyEpstein #GhislaineMaxwell #RobinDreeke #HiddenKillers #TonyBrueski #Trafficking #BehavioralAnalysis #FBI #TrueCrimePodcast #SurvivorPsychology #NobodyGirl Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? A new report says that the presence of microplastics in seafood has been overstated by the media. The paper, by researchers at Heriot-Watt University, says although media reports tended to concentrate on seafood contamination, the levels of microplastics in seafood is no greater than in other foodstuffs. It also says that dust and indoor air contain more microplastic particles than food. All week, we're taking a closer look at county council tenant farms. These farms have traditionally been a first step on the ladder, often for young aspiring farmers to get a foothold in agriculture. However county council tenancies have become harder to find and in recent years many cash-strapped councils have sold off a significant number of their farms. Not so in Staffordshire, where one young farmer Tom Chapman is building up his herd of sheep after securing a tenancy. Farm machinery manufacturers who export to the United States say their trade is being made 'almost impossible' after tariffs on steel and aluminium were extended. Originally tariffs on steel and aluminium were just for bulk items, but now, if a UK-made tractor is exported to the US, every steel or aluminium component - down to individual nuts and bolts - has to be taxed on the basis of where it came from, so the correct overall tariff payment is made. We speak to the Agricultural Engineers Association.Presenter = Anna Hill Producer = Rebecca Rooney

Autumn is here on the Talking Heads podcast - as the last vestiges of Summer in the garden dodge the wet and windy weather while trying to give the last hurrah before that inevitable but pleasantly seasonable slide into the hibernation of winter. But gardeners never sleep so Lucy and Saul are still out and about in their plots plying the horticultural trade they both love. So join them both for more horti-waffle and insights into the life of the modern, professional gardener. It's the hedges and edges episode! Saul and Lucy have both been flexing their muscles on long-pole hedgecutters and lawnmowers this week. Machinery reliance always comes with the risk of breakdown, though, and both gardeners have had issues with their hedging equipment - at this point we either tinker, or upgrade! Pitmaston Pineapple apple has given a bumper harvest for Saul, and Lucy's fruit thinning has worked its magic, too - the fruit stores at Stonelands and Kingsland are burgeoning as a consequence.LinkedIn link:Saul WalkerInstagram link:Lucy lucychamberlaingardensIntro and Outro music from https://filmmusic.io"Fireflies and Stardust" by Kevin MacLeod (https://incompetech.com)License: CC BY (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/)Support the show

As the world's largest agricultural economy, when China makes a move, the world pays attention. China has just unveiled an ambitious plan to accelerate its development of ag machinery by shortening its research and development cycles. So will China dominate the future of agricultural machinery, and what does this mean for dealers, farmers, and agtech companies?Lachlan Monsbourgh, Global Rural Agricultural and Environmental Lead at Rabobank, joins us to discuss China's pivotal role in global agriculture. This includes China's rapidly developing ag machinery industry, which can manufacture tractors and equipment for about half the cost of the other major players in the US, Europe and Japan. While the products currently face quality, durability and serviceability challenges, Lachlan argues it is only a matter of time before these are overcome. Lachlan and Sarah discuss:The price point difference between Chinese agricultural manufacturers and other big OEMsThe impact of cheaper tractors on agtech adoption and autonomyHow China is moving to ensure sustainable supply chains from countries such as Brazil.Global biodiversity targets and the role of autonomous robotics in helping to achieve them.Useful Links:How China is reshaping Global Food Systems for the Climate Change Era, World Economic ForumTarget to accelerate agriculture machinery development, AgTechNavigatorKunming Montreal Biodiversity frameworkThe Three Categories of Autonomy in Agriculture, SwarmFarm RoboticsFor more information and resources, visit our website.
Today's modern farming operation may not be able to do everything on their own. Machinery expense, labor availability and skill set may be some of the motivation for farms to hire a specialist. Ben Jarboe finds out about how the Wisconsin custom operators are doing heading into the harvest. Jeremy Heim a board member for the Wisconsin Custom Operators, discusses the trends he's seeing this year. Not much rain on the way for anyone in Wisconsin, but the heat continues. Stu Muck says a little fog this morning should burn off to a beautiful day.A new proposal in the state legislature is aimed at the future of Wisconsin farming. The bill would require the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection to launch a farmland link program through its Farm Center. The idea is to connect landowners and retiring farmers with beginning farmers looking for agricultural ground. The bill’s author Representative Clint Moses tells Stephanie Hoff that the idea came from a statewide need to both find farmland and keep that land in agriculture. Moses is vice chair on the Assembly Agriculture Committee.Crop conditions continue to look good. Pam Jahnke recaps the latest field updates including the fact that over 22% of the corn silage has already been harvested.Tuesday and Wednesday are the last hearing opportunities for farms that could be impacted by proposed fee increases on livestock yards, dealers and truckers. The President of the Wisconsin Cattlemen's Association, Tressa Lacy, has a small herd of Red Angus cattle with her husband in Rio, Wisconsin. Recently, she participated in a public hearing held by DATCP about the proposed. She says if these fees go into place it might force some livestock sales to go out of state! She says that's just not feasible for a lot of the smaller operations that depend on that local service. This crop just seems to keep getting bigger. John Heinberg, market advisor with Total Farm Marketing in West Bend says Friday's World Ag Supply/Demand report didn't have a lot of big surprises for the traders. It did shave some yield off both corn and soybeans. Heinberg's advising growers to activate some tools that will allow them to maintain ownership on their crop after they've marketed "extra bushels" to cash flow the farm through the fall. He says he believes there could be some opportunity once we get into calendar year 2026.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

WBSRocks: Business Growth with ERP and Digital Transformation
Send us a textThe machinery manufacturing ERP landscape is uniquely complex, demanding far more than the generic capabilities many vendors claim to offer. These businesses are highly project-driven, building large, costly machines that require collaboration across mechanical, electrical, and calibration engineering disciplines—often within long development cycles and tightly interdependent workflows. While smaller ERP systems may provide advanced tools like CAD integrations or specialized workflows, they frequently lack the robust supply chain, inventory, and financial capabilities necessary to support the full business model. Beyond engineering-heavy production, machinery manufacturers often operate diverse divisions under one umbrella, from parts businesses resembling distribution and commerce operations to service arms managing rentals, long-term maintenance contracts, and advanced field service. These layers of complexity make it clear that only a handful of ERP systems—typically those designed with both depth and breadth—can effectively support the industry without extensive customization. In this episode, our host Sam Gupta discusses the top 10 Machinery manufacturing ERP systems in 2025. He also discusses several variables that influence the rankings of these Machinery manufacturing ERP systems. Finally, he shares the pros and cons of each Machinery manufacturing ERP system. Background Soundtrack: Away From You – Mauro SommFor more information on growth strategies for SMBs using ERP and digital transformation, visit our community at wbs. rocks or elevatiq.com. Modern life runs on hidden engine rooms—vast, intricate systems most of us never see. The Haber-Bosch process, which turns air into fertilizer, is one of them. It feeds billions, yet almost no one outside of science or industry could explain how it works or why it matters. In this episode, we explore Haber-Bosch not just as a technological marvel, but as a parable for our dependence on complex systems most of us barely understand. From the fight over bird droppings in the 19th century to the industrial alchemy of fixing nitrogen, we trace how human ingenuity transformed the limits of nature, and how that transformation fostered both abundance and fragility. This is a story about the machinery that sustains us, and the risks we run when we forget it's there. Adolescence is a limited series on Netflix consisting of 4 episodes, each made up of a single continuous hour long take. This "one-er" format presented tremendous challenges to the sound team, both on set and in post production. Intense planning was needed in order to capture everything in production, and constant panning was needed in the mix to keep the sound locked to the shifting camera movement. Production sound mixers Rob Entwistle & Kiff McManus tell us about the organized chaos during filming, while supervising sound editor, James Drake, and re-recording mixer, Jules Woods, discuss the intricate detail they dove into to create the immersive feel of the final mix. This episode has been a long time coming. I have been trying to figure out how to tackle a discussion about A.I. and it's influence on how sound editors will all be able to do our work in the future. So when the MPSE put out a press release about A.I. created work and it's eligibility at their Golden Reel Awards, I saw it as a chance to broach the subject. David Barber, MPSE President, and Brent Findley are both on the A.I. committee with the guild and have spent countless hours thinking about how A.I. is going to effect sound editors.
