A group of Sheffield Comedians and friends coming together for a weekly podcast
Nearly three years in the making, it's finally time for the climax of Springbrook: Sturike Does DnD!
The gang face a ticking clock and a deadly challenge. Everything hinges on how you interpret the prophecy and also different types of darkness. Isn't language fun?
As Myrr and Nieles successfully infiltrate the cult and finally uncover the Orange Cloaks' plan, the rest of the gang find themselves in sticky situation after sticky situation.
The party make a PLAN! They're getting so good at DnD. Which is a good thing, because infiltrating the cult is a pretty dangerous enterprise.
The gang continue to make trouble in the marketplace, proving that while they can fight off the deadliest of foes, they still have a lot to learn about functioning in humanoid society.
Finally in the city of Alar, the gang get acquainted with Daniel the Gnome, explore the town and run into trouble in the marketplace.
In the exciting conclusion of the Sphinx Trials, the party face a really quite well posed moral problem which expertly captures the mystery and wonder of a world with radically different life-forms while sliding in some lovely worldbuilding. It's fantasy worthy of Tolkien, if I do say so myself. Then there's LOOT!
In the style of a Hollywood blockbusting trilogy based on a YA series, the party are confronted with exactly the same moral message as in Part 1 and behave almost exactly the same. Why? Because changing your personality is hard work, KAREN! God!
The party travel to a new biome, where they meet the first creature they really couldn't beat in a fight. Luckily, it's a good creature. Neither of these things stop certain party members from endeavouring to piss him off.
After a series of exciting adventures, the gang spend nearly an hour shopping. It's better than it sounds! BONUS: this is as far as we got in the initial release of the podcast. From here on out, we're in uncharted waters!
Horror of horrors! The DM invokes character backstory and houserules some stuff! He's going off-piste! Could this be the beginning of the end? Well, it's certainly around the midpoint of the campaign, so...
A trip to the Underdark introduces the party to some local threats, which they commendably turn into delicacies.
The party get awfully indignant about racial bias, even though this is a fantasy universe where drow are EXPLICITLY EVIL.
Sharper listeners may assume that, this being the third episode about the Wizard and his tower, that the party are probably going to reach the top in this episode. Or they just remember from the first time round. Either way, they're right!
Dungeonmaster Alex is having far too much fun tormenting the party with traps and tricks. Also horrible monsters.
We've reached that all-important part in the tale when the heroes, faced with their first glimpse of their overarching quest, begrudgingly seek help from a mean old man in a pointy hat!
The team must battle the clock and the cloaked to rescue our boi Edan from uncertain peril!
It's festival time! A well-earned city break is in order for the party. What could possibly go wrong?
Deep in the Feywild, the party confronts some brilliant examples of gender stereotyping - which turn out to be completely different exampels of gender stereotyping!
After their jungle mission, the party take a lovely boat ride through the land of Denorah, to a town with a missing persons problem.
After fighting Vilni, the gang explore the temple and begin their journey back to Springbrook.
The party reach their destination and encounter someone who seems like a very important recurring villain who will definitely play a large part in events to come. Or will he?
Now gathered together, the gang set out from Springbrook on their first quest. Will they survive the harsh jungles of nearby? If you've listened before, you'll know the answer is: just!
It's the reissue of Sturike Does DnD! Once a week, every week, until complete! In this episode, we are introduced to the land of Denorah and the City of Springbrook, meet our party and realise what a long journey we're in for.
