Practice comp didn't go as smoothly as it could have, but still plenty of time until my competition begins, so plenty of time to improve! Two more days left before I travel to Tokyo!

Had an embarrassing encounter with my drug testers this week, but the positives of a good meeting with a coaching and mentoring tutor was balanced out by some sad news.

I turned 26 this week! That and getting my new British passport was probably the most exciting thing to happen...back to training soon though!
All the effort, the stress and the challenge of the last 12 months have been absolutely worth it, it my first competition back I managed to go over 400 points in a World prelim for the first time, and secured my spot at Tokyo 2020ne!! No time for celebration, got to get the head back down and back to work.
What a process to go through in order to get to Japan, but I made it safely and quickly began adjusting to the time difference and getting used to the new environment! It's been fun so far!
Officially tested negative for COVID, so I am FitToFly to Tokyo on Tuesday! Also its been a hectic week, Edinburgh to Leeds to London and back, two elite athlete panels, as well as lots of training.
The last couple weeks have been challenging as training hasn't been as smooth as usual, but with just over a week until I travel to Tokyo I need to go get my visa!
One week after the drastic decision to cancel the 2021 World Cup, it seems FINA and Japan have managed to agree on their (probably financial) differences, and organise new dates for the hosting of this event!
Biggest plot twist of the year so far... what next?!
I set myself an ambitious challenge on Saturday morning, some would say it was too ambitious, and I failed! But it was a tough week and there were plenty of positives to take away.
