We are building on decades of experience, wisdom, resilience, and accomplishment. Before we ask, “What's next?” I want us to pause and celebrate how far we've already come.I'm honoring my word of the year—bold—and encouraging you to reflect on your own guiding word for 2026.From that place of awareness and celebration, we are going to start exploring my evolving “Me-Now Women's Wellness Wheel,” a simple life-design tool to help you identify what you're already doing well and where you might want to make one small (or bold) move forward. This week, we focus on the first 3 of 8 areas: Connection, Health, and Brain Time. I'll walk you through a powerful exercise—write down one thing you're already doing in each area, then choose one bold next step. That's it. No overwhelm. Just intentional momentum. You are not behind. You are not beginning from zero. You are rising—from everything you've already built.Let's move forward—boldly. On this episode:The Me Now Women's Wellness WheelPower & Purpose Daily Motivations: A Year of Coming Home to Yourself: Find it hereLoving the show? In this episode, one of Hollywood's leading wellness experts + founder of The Pure Joy App, Kelsey Patel, opens up about the year that brought her to her knees—mysterious illness, anxiety, insomnia, psychiatric medication, and the terrifying fear that she was losing her mind. What she ultimately uncovered at the root of it all changed everything. Ahead, Kelsey speaks candidly about mold illness symptoms, the stigma around psychiatric medication, and navigating holistic healing alongside pharmaceuticals. Her darkest season ultimately became a profound spiritual awakening + radical return to faith. Together, Krista + Kelsey explore community as medicine, mother wounds, chronic illness, burnout, and the deeper spiritual reckoning beneath anxiety + autoimmune symptoms. We also talk about: Neuroinflammation, vertigo, insomnia, and panic attacks explained The difference between holistic healing + when medication becomes necessary Releasing shame around psychiatric medication + mental health support Mother wounds, generational trauma, and healing complicated parent relationships Why community is the most underrated healing modality “God walks,” prayer practices, and rebuilding a relationship with faith Spiritual awakening vs. spiritual entertainment Letting go of supplement overload + wellness industry extremes Learning to surrender control + trust divine timing Resources: Instagram: @kelseyjpatel and @miraclemanor Website: www.kelseyjpatel.com App: The Pure Joy App available on iPhone and Android - see Kelsey's website for more details and a free week membership Order our book, Almost 30: A Definitive Guide To A Life You Love For The Next Decade and Beyond, here: https://bit.ly/Almost30Book. This is the first release of THE VIBE. In this episode, I'm sharing Settle — a short grounding practice designed to help your nervous system land before you do anything else. This isn't about doing meditation “right.” It's about creating enough internal safety for your body to exhale. Settle is the foundation. The place we arrive. The place everything else builds from. You can use this practice: before movement after a long day when your thoughts feel loud or anytime you need to come back into your body This practice is free, and it's yours to return to whenever you need it.
In this meditation we explore the different feel of being caught in the reactive mind and those moments, no matter how small, when the body, mind and heart are in attunement. This attunement is what we are pointing to as “mindfulness,” and when we are aware of it, it has a natural sense of coming home. Again. Please note: the mild echo is only in this podcast and has been fixed.
We're coming to the cottage and we want you to join us! Our much-anticipated Heated Rivalry episode is finally here. This conversation is formatted a little differently than usual, as we recorded our thoughts after watching each episode to give you a watch-along experience. This will also make it easy to avoid spoilers if you somehow haven't seen Heated Rivalry yet. Just a heads up that since this was a less formal recording set up, we used different mics, so the sound quality is a little different from our usual episodes.Let us know what you think! What is the "Total Health" of a human being? In this soul-stirring episode of Love & Life Elevated, we sit down with legendary visionary Udo Erasmus—pioneer of the healthy fats movement and author of Fats That Heal, Fats That Kill. Udo's journey began with a focus on physical biology and essential fatty acids, but it evolved into a deep exploration of the internal environment—the "life force" that makes us whole. Together, we discuss why physical nutrition is only one piece of the puzzle and why "making time for stillness" is the ultimate prescription for a vibrant, meaningful life. In this episode, we explore: - The Wisdom of Stillness: Why being still is the foundation for mental clarity and spiritual health. - Beyond the Bottle: Moving from physical health (fats and oils) to the "internal environment" of the soul. - Coming Home to Yourself: How the "ache in the heart" is actually a call to return to our core being. - Practical Presence: Integrating moments of peace into a noisy, distracted world. Whether you are looking to optimize your physical vitality or find a deeper sense of calm, Udo's insights offer a roadmap to living more fully from the inside out. You can see the pattern. You can name it while it's happening. You can explain exactly where it started. And still… it repeats. That's not confusion. It's protection that never updated. Your subconscious does not care about your vision. It cares about safety. And safety is defined by familiarity. Your life may have evolved. Your body didn't automatically update just because your life did. That changes how you see yourself. Listen in now! And if you're ready to stop repeating what you've already outgrown… Coming Home is where repetition ends quietly. Schedule your private conversation.

Self-acceptance. Self-compassion. Self-love. Self-care.Today, on Episode #191 of the Habit Thrive Podcast, we explore how research shows that these four practices are deeply connected, but they are not interchangeable.Self-acceptance reduces internal conflict and builds emotional stability.Self-compassion lowers stress and increases resilience after setbacks — and contrary to popular belief, it actually strengthens motivation.Self-love shapes identity and self-worth, influencing the boundaries we set and the long-term choices we make.Self-care, the behavioural piece, reinforces well-being through consistent, supportive action that improves sleep, mood, stress levels, and overall health.Sometimes we don't need another routine. Sometimes we need to accept where we are; to soften the inner critic; to remember that we are worthy of care, joy, and respect. And, sometimes, we simply need one small action that supports our body and spirit today.I'll also offer four grounded affirmations you can carry with you as you move through your week.If you've been feeling stuck, discouraged, or unsure where to begin, this conversation will gently guide you back to yourself. On this episode:Power & Purpose Daily Motivations: A Year of Coming Home to Yourself: Find it hereLoving the show? On part 2 of Coming Home, we continue our conversation with Professors Mariam Georgia and Eisenstein Staats-Pangowish about what it means when our work is deeply tied to our homelands. This week, we talk about what home means, how we need to unlearn colonial ways of teaching, and the arrogance of western colonial academia. We also talk about why our commitments to this work drives us to teach differently and the ways we attempt to decolonize the classroom. Thanks for listening! Remastered edition: re-edited and shortened for clarity and pace.We trace Jeff Natchez's path from Flint open gyms and sandlots to a Detroit Tigers draft pick, rookie ball under a young Jim Leyland, and a second career in optometry. Honest reflections on choices, mentors, and coming home frame a story about resilience and community.A Flint kid grows up in the city's golden era, spends every spare hour on open courts and dusty diamonds, and learns how far grit can take you. That kid becomes a Tigers draft pick, rides the rookie-ball buses with a 26-year-old Leyland, and shares a field with future stars like Lance Parrish and Mark Fidrych. Then spring training delivers the phone call that changes the dream's shape—and what happens next is the heart of this conversation. We sit down with optometrist and former multi-sport standout Jeff Natchez to trace the full arc: Saginaw Valley showdowns with Flint Northern and Pontiac Central, the scout who believed early, and the surreal shock of patrolling right field at Tiger Stadium as a high school senior. Jeff opens up about the hard fork at eighteen—college under Bo Schembechler or a pro contract—and why hindsight suggests a different choice, even as the minors delivered priceless lessons in professionalism, poise, and preparation. The details are vivid and human: cold opening nights in Clinton, Iowa, clubhouse laughter, and the way Leyland handled teenagers like a steady metronome. The turn toward optometry isn't a retreat—it's a reinvention. A long drive to Las Vegas sparks a plan, Ferris State University sharpens the craft, and a role in Reno with an ophthalmologist builds a second life anchored in precision and care. Jeff explains how the same fundamentals that defined Flint—accountability, mentorship, and access—shaped his work and his return home. We also honor the mentors who mattered, from playground supervisors who taught the basics to local legends like Rick Leach who showed what “it” looks like up close. If you love Michigan sports history, underdog resilience, or stories about changing course with grace, this episode belongs on your list. Are You Tired of Shrinking Yourself Just to Keep the Peace?Beloved,Do you ever notice yourself orbiting around someone else's mood—adjusting, fine-tuning, quietly making yourself smaller so things stay comfortable? Is there a tender ache inside you… a longing to be chosen? To be someone's priority without having to earn it through over-giving, fixing, or disappearing? And at the same time, does a small voice whisper: What if my needs are too much? This Isn't a Flaw—It's a Survival PatternThese feelings aren't random. They're signals from your nervous system, rooted in something deeper than this lifetime. You carry invisible agreements—soul contracts formed long ago when you learned that love required self-abandonment. Codependency is the word we use, but energetically, it looks like cords and hooks that whisper: My worth depends on how well I manage others. These patterns often began in childhood, in environments heavy with unspoken needs, instability, or emotional chaos. You learned to stay safe by becoming hyper-attuned to everyone else. What Once Protected You Is Now Keeping You StuckWhen your nervous system wired itself to anticipate danger, silence your truth, or become responsible for someone else's emotions, it required a kind of forgetting—a forgetting of your original sovereignty.Even now, as you crave real connection, you might find yourself stuck in the same painful loop:* Is it safe to be seen in my full intensity?* Will I be “too much” if I ask for reciprocal care?* Can I actually rest inside relationship without vanishing?Love, I know this heaviness and low vibe feeling. And I also know it doesn't have to stay this way.So, perhaps the answer is yes. And there is work we can do together. You Were Never Meant to Disappear in Order to Be LovedThrough the Light Between Oracle, I'll walk beside you as we release the energetic contracts formed in moments of fear, confusion, or self-erasure.Using sacred technologies—unconscious contract clearing, channeling from your Higher Self, and attunement to your Light Body's intelligence—we begin restoring what your nervous system forgot.Together, we will:* Listen compassionately to the younger parts of you who believed love required smallness* Witness and clear the energetic hooks still binding you to past dynamics* Rewrite the vows that say “I must fix others to stay connected”* Restore sovereignty to your field—so you belong first to yourselfThis work is subtle, but it reverberates. Once a soul remembers its center, it doesn't easily forget again. You're Not Too Much. You're Coming Home. You were born to be loved for who you are—not for how well you manage, fix, or disappear. You are simply returning to the full frequency of who you were always meant to be: Whole. Expressed. Guided. Sovereign.Your Invitation to Step Back Into YourselfIf your heart stirred reading this, you're ready. Not because you've hit a breaking point, but because some quiet part of you knows it's time to come home.I'm waiting for you inside the Light Between Oracle app. There, you'll receive Personal Bespoke Readings crafted specifically for your energetic signature, alongside guided practices to clear your field, recalibrate your nervous system, and activate your Light Body. This isn't dependency. It's devotion—to your clarity, your healing, your divine remembrance.Allow me to walk with you.Open The Light Between Oracle now and step onto the path of sacred reclamation. With devotion,With love and order in your energy,Yours truly,Kassandra, co-creator with - EmpathicaP.S. Welcome to February and the month of love here on the Habit Thrive Podcast! On Episode #190 today, we're exploring the language of self-care that's everywhere right now—and we're asking an important question:Are self-acceptance, self-compassion, self-love, and self-care really the same thing… or do they each invite us into something different?Together, we break down these four concepts and why understanding the distinction can help us experience them more intentionally and more fully. What self-acceptance really means, and how it allows us to be fully humanHow self-compassion supports us when we struggle or make mistakesWhy self-love is about worthiness, not behaviorHow self-care becomes more meaningful when it's rooted in awarenessWhy noticing our habits is the first step toward changeRather than separate ideas, these practices form a living ecosystem—shaping how we speak to ourselves, treat ourselves, and show up in our lives.✨ This week's invitation: notice, journal, question, and stay curious. Next week, we'll explore why these distinctions matter and how they play out in our everyday habits. On this episode:Power & Purpose Daily Motivations: A Year of Coming Home to Yourself: Find it hereLoving the show? On today's episode, I'm joined by Emily of @eccarterart, where we talk about spiritual awakening, grief, art as a portal, energetic sensitivity, and what happens when the life you were living can no longer hold who you are becoming. In this episode we explore:Spiritual awakening without the glitterEmily shares her experience of what is often called a “spiritual awakening” and how disorientating, overwhelming, and destabilising it can feel when it first arrives. We talk honestly about the fear of “going mad,” the need for frameworks, and the importance of support, therapy, and grounding alongside spiritual opening.Art as a bridge between worldsEmily speaks about her journey from art teacher, to burnout, to loss, to becoming a spirit painter. We explore how art can become a language for energies, emotions, ancestors, and archetypes that have no other place to land.Emily shares about painting with eyes closed, using colour intuitively, and allowing spirit to lead rather than the rational mind. Art as relationship, trust, and listening.Trust as a lived practiceA central theme of this episode is trust. Trusting intuition. Trusting the body. Trusting what is coming through, even when the logical mind resists.Emily shares how choosing trust led, improbably, to her first solo exhibition and how things began to move once she stopped trying to control the outcome.Energetic sensitivity and hygieneWe spend time talking about energetic sensitivity, particularly in teaching, caregiving, and creative work. Emily reflects on how overwhelming it was to carry other people's emotions in the classroom, and we explore the idea of energetic hygiene as essential, not indulgent. From visual “scraping” practices, to changing clothes, to salt baths and intention, we talk about simple ways of clearing what's not ours to carry.Where the body speaksWe explore how the body communicates information. We talk about where different energies are felt, how meaning shows up somatically, and how over time the body becomes a reliable language rather than something to override.Gods, goddesses, and archetypal alliesEmily shares her relationship with Medusa and Freya, and how these energies have been present throughout her life long before she had language for them.We talk about archetypes not as distant beings to worship correctly, but as energies that walk with us, protect us, challenge us, and help us reclaim parts of ourselves that were silenced or shamed.Nature, mud, and rejecting purity cultureOur conversation ventures into land, forests, the sea, dirt, mud, and the deep discomfort I have with purity culture. We talk about how connection not being about cleanliness or perfection, but touch, mess, play, and remembering that we are of the earth, not above it.From forests and fungi to caves, sound, and ancient art, we explore creativity as a fundamentally human act rather than something reserved for the talented or trained.Coming out without being rejectedEmily speaks candidly about the fear of being seen as “too much” or “too strange” once she began sharing her spiritual and artistic work, and the surprise of discovering that most people were not shocked at all, and how often the fear of being ourselves is far greater than the reality. This is an episode about honouring the slow, unglamorous work of becoming whole.-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --All of the Magick:The A Pinch of Magick App:IPhone - download on the App StoreAndroid - download pn the Google PlayOur (free) magickal Community: Facebook GroupMagickal JournalsExplore on Amazon Rebecca's Author PageWebsiteRebeccaAnuwen.comMagickalHabits.comInstagramFor Magick: Click hereFor a Sacred Pause in Nature: Click hereFor CharmCasting: Click hereFor Merlin, my Dog: Click here

In this episode, I share a moment that made me question everything I thought I knew about success, happiness, and love. After years of infertility and drifting through a career that didn't feel like mine, I came to realise how much of my life was built on what I thought I should be doing. I share how an encounter with a baby rabbit opened my heart in an unexpected way. I talk about what it means to come home to who we truly are, to stop drifting, and to create a life from the inside out, guided by our soul, not fear or expectations.
Chad opens the show talking about 5-year-old Liam Canejo Ramos and his father returning home from a Texas detention center and how each of us felt upon seeing the news and photos of their return.

Have you ever had one of those nights where your body is ready for sleep—but your mind has other plans?Today, on Episode #189 of the Habit Thrive Podcast, we explore a gentler approach to nighttime rest: Not forcing the mind to quiet down, but allowing the heart to calm the mind.Drawing from mindfulness, heart coherence research, and inspiration from the monks currently walking for peace, we look at how the heart can become a safe landing place for worries, replayed conversations, and uncertainty about the future. You'll learn why the heart doesn't argue with thoughts—it holds them—and how practices like gratitude, appreciation, and heart-focused awareness can help soothe the nervous system and guide you back toward rest.As we close January and open ourselves to what February may bring, this episode is an invitation to soften, settle, and remember that peace begins within.✨ You're not broken. You're human. And your heart already knows the way.On this episode:Power & Purpose Daily Motivations: A Year of Coming Home to Yourself: Find it hereLoving the show? Let's connect! Coming Home to His Word #RTTBROS #Nightlight"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." — Romans 10:17You know, I came across a story this week that just warmed my heart. There's a podcast called "The Bible Recap" hosted by a woman named Tara Leigh Cobble, and for the third year in a row, it's climbed into Apple's Top 10 podcasts. We're talking about a daily Bible reading podcast competing with true crime and celebrity interviews. Over 500 million downloads worldwide. But here's what really got me, it's not just numbers. Tara says she's seeing people who walked away from their faith, people who deconstructed everything they once believed, coming back home. Not because someone argued them back, but because they're rediscovering the Word of God.Tara's own story touches me most. She grew up in a Christian home, knew all the right answers, but didn't have any real hunger for Scripture. Then somebody challenged her to read the Bible more deeply, and something shifted. She fell in love with God through His Word. Here's how she put it: "The Bible isn't about me. It's for me. It's not about me. It's about God. It's about who He is."That right there is the game changer, friends. We come to the Bible asking, "What does this say about me?" But when we shift our focus to "What does this reveal about God?", everything changes. The Scriptures become less like a self help manual and more like love letters from our Father. When Tara started this podcast in 2019, she prayed that maybe 300 people would join her. Instead, God did "exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think," as Ephesians 3:20 says. What I love most is her advice to listeners: "If you fall behind, just pick back up. Don't let your perfectionism steal your enthusiasm."Too soon old and too late smart, I've learned that same lesson. It's not about perfect Bible reading streaks. It's about relationship. It's about showing up, even when we've missed a day or a week or longer. The fact that half a billion people are downloading a Bible podcast tells me something important. People are hungry for truth. And whether they realize it or not, they're searching for the God who speaks through His Word.Maybe you've walked away. Maybe you've known about God your whole life but never really fallen in love with Him. Today's the day to come home. Open that Bible. Don't worry about where you left off, just pick it back up. You're right on time.Because faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. And in those pages, you'll find Him. And that changes everything.Let's pray: Father, thank You that Your Word is alive and active. For those who've walked away, draw them back home. For those who've grown cold, rekindle their love for You through Your Scripture. Help us seek You in the pages, not just information about You, but You Yourself. In Jesus' name, Amen.#Faith #BibleReading #ComingHome #GodsWord #SpiritualRenewal #ChristianLiving #DailyDevotion #RTTBROS #NightlightBe sure to Like, Share, Follow and subscribe it helps get the word out.https://linktr.ee/rttbros

David Belden was born into a family of Oxford Group leaders and committed activists. The Group set out “to change the world” and throughout his early years David devoted himself wholeheartedly to this challenge. But while “carrying the message” in Africa, his life took an unexpected turn that led to his questioning some of principles and practices he had once taken uncritically for granted.David returned to Oxford University to write his doctoral dissertation on the Group's history, influence and shortcomings. He recently published a still more intimate account of his own journey toward personal and social transformation and change: The World Remakers' Child. This series affords a rare insider's view of the Group responsible for contributing no fewer than ten of A.A.'s Twelve Steps and yields fresh insights and challenges throughout. Mahatma Gandhi's grandson praised David's book for its “steady candor,” “humor about himself,” and “a thirst for a less harsh, more loving, and fairer world.”In this final episode Dave's early Oxford Group goal of “world changing” may have traveled full circle. It's reminiscent of the poet T.S Elliott's famous lines:We shall not cease from exploration And the end of all our exploring Will be to arrive where we started And know the place for the first time.Show notes:David Belden's book: The World Remakers' ChildDave's Oxford University Doctoral Thesis:https://www.academia.edu/27545723/The_Origins_and_Development_of_the_Oxford_Group_Moral_Re_Armament_Dave's website: https://www.davidbelden.com/Dave doing a recent book reading at his Unitarian Universalist Church:https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?tab=wm#inbox/QgrcJHsHpqWKvMChSdmxXjJNlDCGCJGCgHL?projector=1This Is an Uprising: How Nonviolent Revolt Is Shaping the Twenty-First Century by Paul and Mark EnglerHow 12 Step Programs Can Help Build Healthier Movementshttps://wagingnonviolence.org/2025/10/how-12-step-programs-can-help-build-healthier-movements/
The Packers DC search just got very real. Ian Rapoport is reporting mutual interest between Green Bay and Wisconsin native Jim Leonard, currently Denver's defensive pass game coordinator. Both sides are hoping to meet after the AFC Championship game, and this one feels like it's heading toward a done deal. Meanwhile, Mike McCarthy lands his dream job in Pittsburgh, and Aaron Rodgers now has every reason to come out of retirement for a reunion with his former coach. Jim McMahon delivered the quote of the offseason, calling Green Bay the best organization he ever played for—devastating news for the only franchise he won a Super Bowl with. Brian Flores continues to be radioactive in coaching circles after Mike Pettine essentially confirmed what everyone suspected about working with him. Plus: A Lions fan literally crashed a car into the Detroit airport, the Vikings reportedly inquired about Joe Burrow, and we preview the AFC and NFC Championship matchups heading into Championship Sunday. In this talk, we'll explore what it truly means to find refuge—not through controlling life, but by coming home to the living truth of our experience. Our deepest refuge—the source of peace, safety, and freedom—is discovered through direct realization of reality itself. Drawing on the Buddhist understanding of refuge, we explore three timeless and archetypal gateways: • Awareness (Buddha) — the wakeful presence that knows our experience • Truth (Dharma) — the wisdom that liberates us when we see clearly • Love (Sangha) — the tenderness and belonging that arise through connection Through short guided reflections, we practice opening to each of these portals, allowing refuge to become a lived and embodied experience rather than an abstract idea. This talk is especially supportive if you are: Seeking inner peace during times of uncertainty or stress Exploring mindfulness, meditation, or Buddhist teachings Longing for a deeper sense of belonging and spiritual homecoming Interested in awakening compassion and wise awareness in daily life Our introduction music is from "Opening" by Adrienne Torf, © 2025 ABT Music
