On the Secret Witch Show today our guest is Simone Stevens. Sim is an intuitive energy healer, Sekhem practitioner, Psychic medium and practising witch, who is dedicated to offering healing ceremonial sessions, treatments, ritual circles and workshops to guide the mystically and spiritually curious to find their innate magic and alignment. Sim focuses her work around connection to energy and spirit, be that of Spirit realms, plants, ancient energy healing practices, divination tools, sound or crystals. Sim believes that supporting clients to work more closely with their intuition is the portal to profound, positive, and aligned change in their lives. In this episode we explored how to embrace magic and mystery and how to learn to trust our intuition - even when we are conditioned to mistrust it. We explored the common ‘Healers Journey' of initiation into the mystery (often via burnout and panic attacks), and how us feeling disconnected from our true selves is often the way we are called into our gifts. We explored the importance of stillness, honouring the natural rhythms and cycles of our bodies - and even navigating mistrust of others in our ‘spirituality' - to reclaim our innate magic. We dived into some practical steps of tuning into our ‘gut feelings', and a deeper exploration of intuition versus ego - and the importance of self-compassion along the way. What You'll Learn from this Episode: For those who long to be healers, embracing magic and mystery is vital - though we can often have wounding and fear around trusting our intuition that wants to be healed for ourselves first The mundane world can lead us sensitive souls to manifest symptoms of burn out and panic attacks which can feel like ‘rock bottom', even when we look like we've ‘got it all together'. These are actually a sign of a deeper call into our intuition and magical healing gifts - often these messy dark portals of mystery are catalysts for our deeper purpose - and a required part of the path It can be hard to open when we feel like this, and it is often in the moment where we think there's no other choice that intuition kicks in. Staying curious helps us open more fully to trusting our intuition, begin to hear our body and open to our magic - it often requires us to ‘unlearn' years of conditioning Practising stillness and carving our time for self-illumination are essential to help us tune unto our natural rhythms and intuition - and this can be cultivated with a practice Sim shares regarding listening to our ‘gut feeling', to build our ‘intuitive muscle' The more we heal self-doubt of our magic and intuition, the more others meet us in that - it can be a common fear for the Secret Witch to think that others will judge her as a ‘lunatic', but when we truly welcome our intuition, and magic, others can too It's important to hear our intuition, and it's taking aligned-action that actually heals - each time we act on synchronicities or inner nudges we are building trust in our intuitive voice   Resources and things that we spoke about: Join our journey with Archetypal Luna: https://www.nicolebarton.co.uk/luna  Social: Tiktok - @archetypalapothecary Instagram - @iamnicolebarton Instagram - @archetypalapothecary You Tube - https://www.youtube.com/@secretwitchsociety Join our Secret Witch Society: www.facebook.com/groups/secretwitch  Simone's Email -  sim@sensesbysim.co.uk Simone's Instagram - @sensesbysim Simone's Website -  https://www.sensesbysim.co.uk Simone's The Intuitive Shadow Course this October 2024 - https://www.sensesbysim.co.uk/intuitioncourse-1 Thank you for listening, we'd love to know what comes alive for you in this week's episode, so please let us know. In Episode 6, I'm joined by Silke Tyler, a master healer and hypnotherapist, spiritual teacher and mentor to women around the around, an artist and a passionate gardener. Silke joins me for this conversation from her home in Tennessee and we talk about the things we sense but may lack the insight and language to understand and articulate. We explore energetics and the different ways in which energy flows in the earth, water and air are constantly influencing the physical forms we see and interact with. How the lunar cycles affect where the energy is in the plants we grow, eat and live alongside, and how by tuning into these natural rhythms of the earth we can enrich both our inner and outer worlds. We talk about the spiritual realms too, faeries and devas of the land, and Silke shares her understanding of these intangible realms.   It is a conversation that stretched by thinking to its edges. On the one hand, challenging the way I understand the world which is grounded more in ecology and conservation science than in energetics and spirituality. At the same time, it's a conversation that resonates deeply with my lived experience. And we can always hold both - the things we know in one way or another, alongside those we can perhaps sense but not necessarily evidence or understand.   Talking with Silke was a joy and I hope that you too embrace this conversation with an open heart and mind, connect with what resonates for you and allow other ways of seeing the world to filter into view. Whether you carry them with you or let them go is of course always up to you.  Follow the show You can follow ‘Unearthing Wild Wonders' on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or your preferred platform of choice. In this episode, I explore the concept of "slow productivity" as introduced by Cal Newport. Discover how to break free from the high-stress, always-on culture of modern work by aligning with your natural rhythms and managing your energy seasonally. This episode is part of our summer series, featuring quick, actionable insights to help you implement new ideas right away. Key Takeaways Differentiate Busyness from Productivity: Busyness is high activity with low meaningful results. True productivity focuses on results, proactive effort, and brings satisfaction. Align Work with Natural Rhythms: Identify and work during your peak energy periods. Adjust tasks to fit your energy levels throughout the day. Embrace Seasonal Energy Management: Recognize and honor different seasons in life and work. Use slower periods for rest and renewal, and embrace intense work during peak seasons. Do you catch yourself measuring your worth by how much you do, and how much what you do benefits others? If you do, you're not alone. And, as our guest today, Tamu Thomas, says - it's not your fault. In her groundbreaking new book, Women Who Work Too Much: Break Free from Toxic Productivity, Tamu challenges the societal norms that glorify relentless productivity and burnout, shedding light on the systemic, emotional and psychological factors that keep women trapped in a never-ending cycle of productivity. In our conversation today, she shares practical strategies for liberation, centering cycle awareness as a way to resist the drive to do-do-do, and instead reclaim and honour our natural rhythms. We explore:How cycle awareness has enabled Tamu to find freedom from her inner critic (whilst allowing her to channel the power of her premenstrual analysis to offer critique of the systems that oppress us). What Tamu learned from her Auntie Aminatta, a Sierra Leonian international business woman about how to create a life where - as Tracee Ellis Ross says - “my life is mine”.The profound spiritual, primal breakdown and breakthrough that happened in 2017, when Tamu's body reclaimed her energy back from what she calls the ‘oppressive trinity' of white supremacy, patriarchy and capitalism.---Receive our free video training: Love Your Cycle, Discover the Power of Menstrual Cycle Awareness to Revolutionise Your Life - www.redschool.net/love---The Menstruality Podcast is hosted by Red School. Sena Maria supports women to embrace a nourished, resilient and radiantly healthy state.  She uses Mineral Nutritional Balancing to rebuild our mineral heritage and get to the root of our health issues. She believes that we are only as healthy as our cells and by supporting our bodies ability to create energy and eliminate toxins efficiently, we can return to the simple, natural joy of being alive.  Sena's degree in Psychology, career at Google and her subsequent studies of yoga, energy healing, shamanism, plant medicine, tools for building emotional capacity and integration, and Mineral Nutritional Balancing have led her to sit with many questions about what humanity may need at this time to heal from trauma + toxins, strengthen our families and create mineral-rich generations to come. She offers a woman-centric approach to healing with Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis utilizing it as a tool for deepening connection with one's self. Mineral balancing focuses on the overall program rather than specific diagnoses, as the program tends to work well for most people. Sena's background includes working in tech, exploring spirituality through plant medicine, and studying microdosing and ceremonial experiences. Sena's health issues led her to discover mineral balancing and the importance of addressing the body's metabolic foundations. The RCP is a one-size-fits-all protocol that focuses on increasing bioavailable copper, but Sena found that it didn't align with her belief in individualized approaches to health. Psychedelics can provide expanded perspectives and resiliency, but long-term effects and individual sensitivities should be considered. Microdosing can be beneficial for some, but long-term impacts are still unknown, and it's important to listen to your body and not rely on it as a quick fix. Minerals play interconnected roles in the body, and a balanced approach is necessary for optimal health. Fluidity in thoughts and openness to new information are important for personal growth and understanding. Calcium is often misunderstood and demonized, but it plays a crucial role in the body and should not be overlooked. Individualized approaches to health and continuous learning are key to finding what works best for you. Mineral balancing can bring women into their natural state and support their feminine energy. A slower, more nourishing approach is often beneficial for women in mineral balancing. The program can regulate hormones, improve energy levels, reduce inflammation, and alleviate symptoms such as emotional PMS and brain fog. Mineral balancing can create a sense of safety in the body and support women in their mothering roles. The journey of mineral balancing can be transformative for women, helping them feel more vital, grounded, and resilient. Mineral balancing can shift women's perspectives on their roles and relationships, leading them to embrace their feminine energy and prioritize their family. Mineral balancing programs that include a community aspect provide support and a space for women to share their experiences and learn from each other. The Radiantly Nourished membership is a 12-month mineral balancing program for women that includes monthly calls and one-on-one consultations. Mineral balancing can have a positive impact on women's menstrual cycles, fertility, and overall well-being. The program allows women to be intentional and thoughtful in their relationships, ensuring alignment with their values and desires.   Keywords: mineral balancing, psychedelics, microdosing, RCP, copper, magnesium, calcium, holistic healing, mineral balancing, women's health, feminine energy, slower approach, nourishing, hormone regulation, energy levels, inflammation, emotional PMS, brain fog, safety, mothering, vitality, resilience, mineral balancing, women's roles, relationships, feminine energy, community support

In this episode of the Women's Vibrancy Code, Maraya dives into the fascinating topic of embracing the natural rhythms of our menstrual cycle and how it can enhance various aspects of our lives, from leadership and libido to love and relationships. Throughout the different stages of the menstrual cycle, hormones, with progesterone being of particular significance, profoundly influence women's experiences and behaviors. Maraya underscores the far-reaching effects of progesterone, encompassing sleep patterns, mood fluctuations, sustaining pregnancy, and alleviating feelings of anxiety and depression. An essential aspect stressed by Maraya is the critical distinction between natural progesterone and progestin commonly present in contraceptive methods. By acknowledging their internal guidance and introspecting during specific phases of their cycle, women are encouraged to embrace their emotions and intuition while prioritizing their well-being and self-care, thus attaining optimal experiences and a profound sense of empowerment. How does Natural Daylight Time, aligning our schedules with the patterns of the sun (in parts of the world where we can), nurture our well-being?  Many have spoken of the benefits of no longer changing the clocks.  But those of us who have lived multiple decades doing so, when we are aware of how it actually helps us, know that there are benefits to this periodic clock-changing ordeal.  That ordeal is temporary, but the impacts of no longer doing so would not be trivial, and will especially impact society's most vulnerable people (the elderly, those with a disability and children) due to darkness and lingering ice well into the morning in the winter. This was tried in the mid-1970's in the U.S., and it had such adverse impacts, the decision was quickly reversed due to unintended consequences. With degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science, writer, researcher, mystic and philosopher Susan Larison Danz combines logic with spirituality in all of her endeavors, sharing a free-flowing authentic, intuitive and liberating perspective with listeners.  Nature photo by Susan Larison Danz. Episode #145:  Natural Rhythms   (Song starts at  4:44) I was fishing at the beach, chatting about things that came to mind - including the song featured on this episode - 'Natural Rhythms'. I recorded these bits and pieces of me talking and have included them on this episode.  I mention the tides. I guess it was the peaceful feeling of being by the ocean. This brought the song to mind. The beach made think back to when I was sitting in the old van Hercules, in Mt Maunganui, New Zealand. Norfolk pines have been planted there long ago. They stand about 30m apart, like sentries lined up along the beach. That was pretty much the opening line of the song. This was a lyrics first, music second song. I like just looking around me, starting writing and eventually a theme comes through (much like how I record podcast episode, by the way). In this case, Natural Rhythms - inspired by the waves and the tides before me. The tides have a profound effect on us. That's why I love camping at the beach. At the beach the other evening,  I also thought about Christmas. I hope your Christmas was a great one: perhaps time to slow down, have nice conversations and fun with people you like being around. 'Natural Rhythms' is song #300 (out of about 800). I wrote it a while back - 1993. It's been sitting there waiting in the songbook for it's day. This brings to mind my plan to record a series of piano vocal albums of songs featured on this podcast - and I will. I'll publish the sheet music too. Then some songs will go on to be more fully arranged and released on other albums. So there is an intention about what I'm doing as an artist. I mention the word intention in this episode. When I sit at the piano to compose, there is definitely an intention to create. The songs won't just appear by themselves. Songwriting is a delicate art, it relies on a lot of theory having being learned and your chops on the keys being up to scratch (if you're a pianist -which I am). I think the arts should be rewarded as such. Not everyone can write a good song. Most people can learn to fix a pipe or a window… anyway.. I love what I do - I'm an artist and a songwriter. I've put out a mountain of content online over the last few years. You can find it by googling my name…or here's my blog -  it's a good place to start: www.petepascoe.wordpress.com . There's lots of links here each week. In 2022, I've created and published 52 blog posts, 52 podcast episodes ( including 52 songs), about 35 small seascapes, 10 1.5m seascapes, 150 cartoon roughs, some videos, etc. In addition, I've taught 2500 private piano lessons on Mondays and Tuesdays. All of this has been an absolute pleasure to put together and ‘do'. Recording these episodes is like a performance each week. It's all off the cuff, there's humour here. This is not a dry presentation of ‘ how to write a song' along the way, I look to impart how I write a song, but I present in a relaxing, entertaining manner. I'm pretty comfortable in front of the mic. I'm also pretty comfortable at the piano. This week again, I begin another song.. so you can hear how I do it. As I mentioned, it was a while ago that I composed Natural Rhythms. I was much younger then, finding my way along. An ‘almost' sort of a relationship was providing some pretty steep learning curves. It's seems we are given plenty of life experiences just when we need, if we go  forth into our day with intention to live well and learn. It's with some peace that I look back on a time for me that had some heartache (1993) - the peaceful feeling of having ‘let it go' is possibly because I made time to relax by the ocean and put my feelings into an art - the song of the day. Songwriting has been an extremely rewarding thing to have done with my life. And it continues to give me pleasure.I hope Natural Rhythms does the same for you, along with the chat. So here's another 30 minutes of relaxing chat, fun, observations and music for you.

Women's Health, Wisdom, and. . . WINE!  is a weekly conversation with practitioners, providers, patients, and healers about complex reproductive medicine and women's health challenges, the value of an integrative approach to these challenges, many of the women's health topics you're already thinking about but uncomfortable talking about, and my personal favorite. . . WINE!Natural rhythms guide all that we do – our very existence. Our breath and heartbeat are constant reminders of life's pulsing rhythm that moves within and around us. Our lives are orchestrated or guided by the rising and setting of the sun and the moon, the changes in temperature from day to night and from season to season, the tidal ebb and flow, and by our own internal rhythm. These rhythms guide our daily activity.Injustice often disrupts these natural rhythms, and subsequently, emotions, an overlooked cause of disease (and dis-ease), lead us farther and farther away from optimal health and wellness.  As such, many people live their lives cut off from the natural rhythms and cycles of nature and of their own bodies. They no longer get up with the sun, and they may stay up till the wee hours of the morning. Their pace of life is such that it is inconsequential whether it is night or day or winter or summer. The phases of the moon go unnoticed. Even the stages of their own life go unnoticed. This plays havoc with their body clocks. Their erratic stressful lives are in a state of arrhythmia. For people with arrhythmia of life, their bodies and lives are out of sync with the natural world and the natural rhythms that govern all life. For many people, they only know life arrhythmia. For them, this state appears normal. They have not experienced living in tune with the natural rhythms.Traditionally all cultures have lived in harmony with life's natural rhythms and have included celebrations to reinforce their occurrence. Most of these are now lost to our current consumeristic, success oriented lives. More than ever before we need to be part of the slow movement and live in tune with the natural rhythms and cycles that have guided our evolution for the past 2 billion years.Reconnect to life. Return to your true nature. Return to your own natural rhythm. About Sharon:Sharon is a complete vibe! She is a multi-dimensional, multidisciplinary, multimodal, and multicultural human being. Happy Holiday Limbo week! ;) Anyone else feel like this is kind of an awkward week? Are we on vacation or are we not? Haha I'm taking advantage of this limbo and carving out a good portion of this week to rest, reflect and set intentions for the new year. I thought today's episode would be the perfect topic to go along with that! This episode is about Cycle Syncing - a practice that changed my life. If you're a woman - this is primarily for you. But if you're a man, this is super valuable for you to know as well! Cycle Syncing is a practice of tuning into the natural cycles of our body and eating, exercising, emotionally processing, and working in harmony with them. As women, we have four phases to our cycle - the Menstrual, Follicular, Ovulation & Luteal phases. Each phase of our cycle is effecting our body and hormones differently. Therefore there are different ways we can support ourselves in each phase of our cycle. AKA - We shouldn't be eating and exercising the same way every day of the month like a man! In this episode with Nicole Bendayan, we dive deep into how your menstrual cycle is your superpower and how to use it to live in harmony with your body's natural rhythms. This practice has the potential to deepen your relationship with yourself, find meaningful alignment and develop more grace and understanding for yourself. Are you fighting against your own body to get more energy and drop fat? For example, are you downing a Red Bull after lunch to make up for that energy-sucking, soul-crushing burger and fries you had for lunch? Or are you eating a high-carb breakfast because Tony the Tiger has been in your head since 1986 and you can't imagine NOT having carbs as part of a “balanced breakfast”? So much of the way we consume food (thanks to the advertising industry) is counter to the natural ways our bodies work. Our bodies have particular rhythms that produce the energy we need during the day, but you have to learn to work with those rhythms instead of against them to drop fat and keep it off. Leverage Your Body's Natural Rhythms to Lose Fat Fast In order to understand your body's day-to-day natural energy cycles and how use them to your advantage, it's helpful to consider your day in four distinct parts: Prep time (Early AM, wake up and get ready for the day) Focus time (AM, best time for deep work) Check the boxes time (Late afternoon, menial tasks) Wind down (Late PM, rest and digest time) Each of these segments of your day need particular inputs from you to maximize your energy levels when you need it the most, and to successfully wind down at the end of the day. For example, your best and deepest work should be done in the morning. You are NOT going to be thinking straight or have as much mental focus for the things that really move the needle in your business in the afternoon. Leave the afternoon for checking off menial tasks from your to-do list. Furthermore, in order to have enough energy to get through the afternoon, you need to eat a light lunch of protein and vegetables. The less you eat at lunch, the more productive you'll be. (Repeat after me.) In this week's episode of the Million Dollar Body podcast, I'm going to show you how you can drop fat fast by giving your body the specific inputs it needs to operate at a high level daily. You'll learn: About your body's hormones and how they fuel productivity and rest Which habits get you out of sync with your natural energy cycles (so you don't do that. duh.) How to eat at breakfast, lunch, and dinner to get the energy and the recovery your body needs to work efficiently EVERY DAY Remember: Small inputs at the right time on a daily basis add up to huge wins. Once you understand how to put these simple habits into place, you're not only going to drop fat fast, you're going to be able to keep it off! Ready for it? Listen to the podcast. In today’s show I’m talking to Shannon Hugman whose passion and profession is energetic astrology. A “cosmic meteorologist” – a weather-forecaster for planetary constellations – she gives us guidance on understanding the current flows of cosmic energy. Having an understanding of and the ability to tune into these bigger currents of energy can help us go through life more at ease, with more insight into our personal experiences and with overall more success. Shannon shows us how we can start our own journey into energetic astrology without having to have knowledge of the stars, and you’ll also learn why your “star sign” – Virgo, Cancer, Sagittarius – isn’t everything. Plus, we dive deep into the current energies, connecting the dots between cosmic cycles and what’s happening on Earth right now. Be prepared for a fiery call-to-action in this revolutionary time! I personally love Shannon’s easy and vivid explanations around astrology, she always finds a relatable image or analogy to explain planetary constellations and their energies in an understandable way – at least for someone like me who’s got no clue about all of that. The third episode of Barely Human is about two underground artists who are often placed in the uncomfortable category of the 'outsider musician.' We look at The Shaggs, a band from the '60s that comprised three sisters from small-town New Hampshire. They created their own unconventional sound and musical language as a result of their near-total isolation from the world around them. Then we turn to Roky Erickson: the frontperson of proto-hippy innovators the 13th Floor Elevators. In this episode, I talk about honoring our natural rhythms - specifically, pertaining to the changing of seasons. As we move fully into fall, our days are getting shorter and nights extending longer, however, certain ‘advancements’ in our society have manipulated this process in an attempt to give us more time to be productive and artificially extend our daylight. I talk about the effect this has on our well-being and how we can feel in our body, the consequences of ignoring this shift in energy if we just pay attention.  I describe the shift in energy from summer to fall and then I offer three practical ways you can live more in line with the autumnal rhythms taking beautiful cues from our natural surroundings.  Nature's Rhythms   The Whole Universe pulses to many simultaneous rhythms. Night and day, the season, the phases of the moon, our hearts, our breath. These are all rhythms that can guide us. We have so many man made rhythms imposed on top of the Natural cycle. The five day week for example. I realised I have holding myself to this rhythm of Monday to Friday working, doing my podcast five days a week. But this eclipse that has just passed brought new insight to me and as I continue this journey of listening to Nature and learning, I have decided to follow another rhythm. May these rhythms that are audible right now, awaken within each one of us the awareness of our Natural rhythms, the rhythms that remind us that we are part of the rhythm of the universe. May they guide our way to Creating a World where Everyone has Enough.  FacebookFollow YoutubeFollow Thank you so much for your donations!
