¿Dónde está Él ahora? (Hechos 1) - Ruta 66 con José de Segovia

Play Episode Listen Later Jul 23, 2025 49:13

Here He Comes With My Heart 1984).

Why should we believe that Jesus is exactly who He claims to be? Find out next, on this Monday edition of Something Good with Dr. Ron Jones. The Gospel of John offers many reasons to believe that Jesus is who He said He was. That was the purpose of John's writing, to convince his readers to believe that Jesus was and is the long-awaited Messiah. Today, Ron offers some rather convincing proof of Christ's claim, as he continues his teaching series, ““Route 66: The Ultimate Road Trip Through The Bible.”

Seeing is believing. Or is it? Well, to hear the Apostle John tell it, it's the other way around. Believing is seeing. This truth is echoed throughout the Bible, but the Gospel of John places special emphasis on belief, as well as the Person in whom we should believe. John ultimately takes us to the deep end of theology and philosophy, and we dive into those waters next, as Ron moves ahead in his teaching series, “Route 66: The Ultimate Road Trip Through The Bible.”

There's a case to argue that peak tariff headlines negativity is behind for Canada and that can be associated with improved fortunes for the currency. In this episode of FX Moment, BI's Chief G10 FX Strategist Audrey Childe-Freeman talks to Jeremy Stretch, Chief International Strategist at CIBC World Markets, about Canada's economic and political dynamics, for a Canadian dollar focus episode. The Bank of Canada will probably end up being more dovish than expected in 2025, but it isn't alone and combined with more expansionary yet credible fiscal dynamics under Mark Carney's leadership, that should all help the growth narrative and the currency. Jeremy and Audrey also discuss the longer-term increased Canadian dollar appeal in a context of de-dollarization and global reserves diversification strategies.

Today's message delves into the profound question of life after death. Looking in 2 Corinthians 5, the episode explores the logical and Biblical basis for belief in eternal life. We discuss the reliability of the Bible, the existence of God, and the resurrection of Jesus as foundational truths that affirm the truth that eternal life in heaven is available to those that believe.  The lesson addresses the universal belief in life after death observed across cultures and civilizations, citing eternity as an intrinsic part of human consciousness. Scriptures convey the concept of living confidently and courageously, even at the brink of death, knowing it leads to being present with the Lord. Listeners are encouraged to face mortality with a joyful anticipation, trusting in the promise of a glorified body and eternal home made perfect by God. The lesson emphasizes the importance of living by faith rather than sight, reaffirming the hope and assurance offered by Scripture that life continues beyond the physical realm, and where we spend that eternity depends upon our belief and faith in this realm.

[Part 2] with Dr. Jeff Zweerinkapologetics, apologetics profile, Jeff Zweerink, Daniel Ray, Watchman Fellowship, multiverse, Reasons to Believe, fine-tuning, big bangOur guest again this week, astrophysicist and author at Reasons to Believe (www.reasons.org) Dr. Jeff Zweerink, tells us that we have nothing to fear, not even the multiverse! Many atheists and skeptics have tried to employ the multiverse as a means of explaining away God as the cause of the existence of our universe. Come and hear what Jeff has to say this week about how creation not only is not threatened by modern science, but how it ultimately can encourage and strengthen our faith when we learn more about it. By faith we know that the physical universe and everything it contains, both seen and unseen, are all ultimately declaring the glory of God. This week we conclude our discussion about Jeff's 2008 book, Who's Afraid of the Multiverse?Jeff Zweerink is an astrophysicist and a senior research scholar for Reasons to Believe (www.reasons.org), an organization dedicated to demonstrating the compatibility of science and the Christian faith. Jeff's work focuses on helping people of all backgrounds bridge the perceived gap between science and the Christian faith. The universe is a fantastically wondrous place. There are more things in heaven and earth than are often dreamt of in our philosophies, to paraphrase Hamlet a little bit. And for the many things we can observe in the physical universe, science sometimes struggles to come up with an explanation as to what is really going on. How much more mysterious are those things which we cannot see? How should Christians think about things that the science of the heavens tells us cannot be seen, such as the idea of the existence of many different universes? That's the question we tackle this week and next on the broadcast with astrophysicist from Reasons to Believe, Dr. Jeff Zweerink. We talk about his 2008 book, Who's Afraid of the Multiverse? So, who is afraid of the multiverse? Come and see! Jeff Zweerink is an astrophysicist and a senior research scholar for Reasons to Believe (www.reasons.org), an organization dedicated to demonstrating the compatibility of science and the Christian faith. Jeff's work focuses on helping people of all backgrounds bridge the perceived gap between science and the Christian faith. Jeff has also made many media appearances, on television, radio, and in print. He earned a BS in physics and a PhD in astrophysics with a focus on gamma rays from Iowa State University. What is the cosmic microwave background (CMB), and why is it essential in cosmology? What role do instruments like BICEP and the Simons Observatory play in studying the early universe? And is the multiverse real?  I had the absolute pleasure of discussing these questions with Dr. Hugh Ross, astrophysicist and founder of Reasons to Believe.  In our conversation, Hugh and I discuss my research on polarization signals in the cosmic microwave background (CMB), focusing on my work with the BICEP, POLARBEAR2, and Simons Array telescopes. These signals are key to understanding the inflationary event that shaped the early universe. We explore how ongoing data collection helps us learn more about the universe's origins. I also share a brief overview of my spiritual journey, from a Catholic upbringing to atheism and now being a practicing Jew with agnostic beliefs. Tune in to learn about the infant universe! Six Reasons to Believe in Biblical Inerrancy, and what Christianity becomes when we Deny the Bible's Authority

“What is truth?” This is the question Pontius Pilate famously asked Jesus in the gospel of John. In our day and age, truth is defined as relative and open to subjective opinions, perspectives, and interpretations that vary based on someone's experiences, contexts, or social class.   It's no wonder that in a context like ours, many Christians have begun to question if the Bible is trustworthy. After all, it was written by human authors. How can we be certain that it's actually been inspired by God? Surely it must be imperfect, full of error, and open to interpretation.   But what happens to the Christian faith when we begin to undermine and question the Bible's authority? How does it affect our faith, our churches, and our witness? Today on the podcast, we'll talk about just what's at stake when we let go of the foundation of God's Word, and how that changes everything about we define the Christian faith.
