The success of Jonah was in his reputation as being a recipient of the poser of God. The storm, the big fish, spit out on dry land was all of God's power. It is how people think of us while we are alive and how they think of us after we are gone. It is worthwhile to build the best one you can.

Jonah was thrown into the sea as a form of judgment for his disobedience. But he was spit up on dry land for a second chance at serving God. Mercy follows judgment.Let's remember that when we fail. If you think about it, He knows all anyway. Nothing is hidden from Him.This is going to be a lesson for Jonah. Things do not turn around to the good for him until he begins to be honest about his sin. Perhaps this is a lesson for all people. The protection against the storm is not an umbrella but honesty.
