Something is shifting. Quietly, deeply, and with a rhythm I can finally hear.In this new episode of A Free Spirit Life, I'm opening up about the evolution I've been moving through — a tender but powerful journey from over-efforting to trust, from hustle to harmony. For years, I've taught, coached, healed, created. But something recently cracked open. In the stillness of a Colorado summer reset — under the ponderosa pines and wide mountain sky — I began to feel a deeper alignment with my own rhythm. And with that, a clear message:Let it come. Let it unfold. Let it be easier. This episode weaves my story — the threads of yoga, voice, nature, healing, and soul work — into a new song. A quieter, deeper one. I share how I'm stepping into a new season of my work, my creativity, and my offerings… and how, maybe, you are too.

This is a frequency transmission — not just words. Don't skip a second. Your future self is calling — are you ready to become the rising tide?

Logic dictates that when swimming, if sharks appear, one should quickly get out of the water. But we're talking Sharknado, so when sharks appear, one should quickly grab a beverage, some snacks and a spot on the couch, because you're going to be ambushed by an onslaught of bad puns, worse CGI and a whole lot of fun. Our sharkfest continues as we attempt to prove that Shaknado 4: The 4th Awakens is not that bad. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

A quick shout out, this being the modern equivalent of a tip of the hat to Richard, who has made a significant donation to help me host this series. I was flabbergasted when receiving the Paypal payment. We have communicated over the years so this is just to say, thank you from the bottom of my heart Richard. When I'm next in Ireland, I promise to buy you a couple of rounds of St James' Blessing. What's this? A cacophony of digging? Must be significant. The date is somewhere in March 1867. A month after young Erasmus Jacobs had found an interesting stone near Hopetown near the Free State Border, but also near the newly formed Transvaal and Griqualand. The world of diamonds swirls with myth and legend, fiction, fact. Diamonds glitter with dangerous promise — alluring but transient in their fortunes, hard as truth, and just as capable of cutting those who reach for them unprepared. The rock that was found at Hopetown was placed on the table of the Cape Assembly shortly thereafter by Sir Richard Southey, the Colonial Secretary with the words “Gentlemen, this is the rock on which the future success of South Africa will be built…” Before Southey's dramatic flourish, the initial response from officialdom was disbelief. For as long as anyone could remember, and this went all the way back to the VOC in 1660s, there had been rumours of great mineral treasure in the north. A kind of disinformation campaign was launched by Jan van Riebeeck because from the time of his arrival he expressed belief in the possibility of a successful search for the traditional golden realm of Monomotapa. It was imperative to drum up more cash for the new tavern of the seas, and he was trying to convince the VOC of the exaggerated value of their new outpost. And women in South Africa were taking notice, which probably from a 21st Century point of view appears somewhat unlikely. Mary Elizabeth Barber had an important role to play in South Africa's geological science. The year 1867 was characterised by drought, and a severe depression made worse by reports that the completion of the Suez Canal would ruin all trade with the Cape. So it wasn't a moment too soon, so to speak, that Diamonds were discovered. Nearly two hundred years had passed since van Der Stel's memorable expedition across what he called de Groote Rivier, the Gariep, the Orange. IT was on the Orange River, sixty kilometres above its junction with the Vaal River, that a village sprang up. Hopetown. By all reports a thriving little settlement, with a number of farms dotted along the river banks nearby. The Koranna and the Griqua lived nearby, at the towns of Pniel and Hebron. Switch to 1867. Picture the scene, sheep and goats, Erasmus Jacobs were doing what Boer boys did, he was roaming the veld, playing on the edge of the river. Here were garnets with their rich carmine flush, the fainter rose of the carnelian, the bronze of jasper, the thick cream of chalcedony, agates of motley hues, rock crystals shining in the light like beckoning stars. Lesser stones, not diamonds, nor valuable gems. From one of these multi-coloured beds Erasmus and his siblings filled their pockets with stones thinking they could play a game of ducks and drakes. For the uninitiated town based gaslight grazer, ducks and drakes is the game of skimming stones. Whomever skims the stone the furthest or with the most hops, wins. Simple game, but when you have no toys, stones are your friends. Luckily for the future of South Africa, Erasmus decided against skimming the diamond, and took it home. There it joined a pile of other shining stones he'd collected like a magpie. It was odd, this stone, and his widowed mother Mrs Jacobs mentioned it to a neighbour, the farmer Meneer Schalk van Niekerk.
This week in the Labyrinth, we're firing up the hyperjets and diving helmet-first into the big news: Spaceballs 2 is officially happening! Mel Brooks is back as Yogurt (yes, seriously), and he's bringing Rick Moranis and Bill Pullman with him. We break down everything we know so far about the upcoming Amazon sequel—including the “definitely not a reboot but kinda is” franchise expansion and Josh Gad's mysterious role. Will we finally get Merchandising 2: The Merchandising? Then we ask: What the hell happened to movie catchphrases? From “Bueller...Bueller...” to “I'll be back,” Gen X grew up quoting our favorite flicks. But nowadays, catchphrases are just callbacks or punchlines. Is it laziness? Nostalgia fatigue? Or is Hollywood too scared to get meme'd? We throw out our favorite all-time movie quotes and get predictably sidetracked by Spaceballs dialogue.
In this episode, we dive into the latest buzz in the world of film and TV! Somehow Spaceballs has returned, there's a new trailer for The Naked Gun, Willem Dafoe may soon learn the true meaning of Christmas, there's a whole bunch of Pixar news, even more Harry Potter casting announcements, and Reacher is set to head to "The Big Apple". Tune in for all the hot takes and updates!
It's a last minute edition of Sports Open Line, as Cardinals vs White Sox has been postponed, and they will play a traditional doubleheader tomorrow. Matt Pauley discusses the Cards' win last night, which featured a great outing by Matthew Liberatore, and a 12 run offensive explosion. Matt talks with both Bernie Miklasz and Joe Roderick of STL Sports Central about everything Cardinals baseball.
MERCH!!! Hey there, friends! Join the Knuckleheads as we navigate through a whirlwind episode filled with hilarious conversations on everything from mishaps with discount codes to the exciting anticipation of Spaceballs 2. We kick things off with a mix of humor and frustration as we dissect the true meaning of "free shipping." Spoiler alert: it might not be as "free" as you think! As always, we've got you covered with national holiday highlights—yes, we're talking about the joy of National Peanut Butter Cookie Day and the delightful surprise of Strawberry Shortcake Day. Who knew food could be festive? But the real star this week is our deep dive into the much-awaited Spaceballs 2. Together, we theorize, speculate, and chuckle at the possibilities of what this long-awaited sequel might bring. With characters like 'Barf Jr.' and hilarious merchandising ideas, this chat is a must-listen for any fan of comedy or sci-fi nostalgia. So, whether you're a food lover, a sci-fi enthusiast, or someone who just loves a good laugh, this episode promises to entertain and connect with you on a fun, personal level. Don't miss it!

Bryan Young and Holly Frey talked far too briefly about Andor Season 2 and everything they loved about it and what nuances and subtleties that made it some of the best Star Wars storytelling they've seen.
