Boomer opens the hour by reading fan mail on air. We take a nostalgic look back at the legendary Club Bene in Sayreville and the famous acts that performed there. The guys address Al's recent outburst regarding the political associations surrounding the U.S. Men's hockey team. To wrap up the hour, they discuss a gross incident on the Garden State Parkway and the end of Jerry's tenure as a Little League coach, including his unpublished book on the experience.
Which he proceeds to open on the air. We also reminisce the good old days of Club Bene in Sayerville, NJ, which hosted both Imus and Stern shows.

Send a FanMail to the GenX Stories gang via text message! It's time. The Gen X Stories crew gets brutally honest about growing up in the shadow of AIDS panic, whispering about Dr Ruth after dark, and parents who absolutely did not have “The Talk” with us. We dig into how we pieced together our own sex education through rumors, paperbacks, health class scare tactics, and sheer survival,. You may recognize the funny (and sometimes unpleasant) experiences that followed, and why buying condoms felt like applying for federal clearance. PLUS we are open about flipping the script on how we're talking about sex with our own kids now. (Spoiler: less fear, more facts.) It's awkward. It's cathartic. It might make you text your therapist. But hey — at least we can finally talk about it. Sadly I cannot respond directly to your text, so please Email me!In this episode, we're answering fan mail, reading reviews (even the spicy ones!), and talking honestly about what happens when communication inside a Female-Led Relationship starts to wobble.Because here's the truth: even in a healthy FLR dynamic, even in a power exchange marriage built on consent and trust, we are still human. Hormones shift. Stress builds. Energy crashes. Emotions run high. And if you're not communicating clearly, resentment can sneak in.We talk about:What happens when one partner feels like they're “walking on eggshells”How burnout affects leadership in an FLRHormone shifts, irritability, and emotional overloadWhy saying “not today” is healthy communicationHow active listening saved what could've become a fightWhy honesty matters more than dominanceThis episode isn't about kink techniques or sex acts. It's about communication in a Female-Led Relationship, emotional awareness, and how to navigate real marriage tension without losing respect or connection. If you've ever wondered how FLR works in everyday life — when you're tired, overwhelmed, or just not in the mood — this episode is for you.Topics CoveredFemale-Led Relationship communication in real lifeActive listening in marriageEmotional burnout in FLR dynamicsHormonal shifts and irritability in long-term relationshipsWalking on eggshells in a power exchangeBoundaries and saying “not today”Supportive dominance vs pressureReleasing old episodes & rebuilding the podcastChastity updates (banana & berries included)Honest marriage conversations that strengthen power exchangeKey TakeawayFLR is not about perfection. It's about communication, consent, emotional safety, and adjusting when life changes.Dominance without communication becomes pressure. Submission without communication becomes confusion. Private listening is recommended if children are nearby. For many women in their late 30s, 40s, and 50s, treating metabolic dysfunction with a GLP-1 is only part of the story. Labs may improve. Weight may shift. But sleep changes. Mood feels different. Body composition moves in unfamiliar ways. Libido quietly declines.Perimenopause and menopause often unfold alongside metabolic treatment, and the hormonal transition can complicate everything. In this episode, we connect midlife hormone changes with metabolic health. Dr. Cathleen “Dr. Cat” Brown, board-certified OB/GYN and Medical Director at Winona, joins us along with Kelly Miller, Winona Patient Ambassador, to discuss what's happening during perimenopause and menopause, why hormone replacement therapy is back in the conversation, and what changed after the black box warning. We also speak candidly about sexual health in midlife, an area that rarely gets the honesty it deserves. For women navigating GLP-1 treatment or broader obesity care, this conversation widens the lens. Hormones matter. Context matters. When Vance Basilio noticed his toddler son's eye suddenly turning inward, what began as intermittent esotropia gradually became a diagnosis of partially accommodative strabismus. After early reassurance from providers who focused only on eye health, Vance continued searching for answers and eventually found a developmental optometrist who evaluated Luca's visual function more comprehensively. In this episode, Vance shares their two-year journey of glasses, vision therapy, and intensive daily home practice. He discusses suppression, accommodative vs. non-accommodative components, measurable progress over time, and why their family chose a functional, long-term approach rather than surgery. If you're navigating a new strabismus diagnosis in your child, this honest parent perspective offers clarity, encouragement, hope, and practical insight.Connect with Denise Allen:Website: https://healingmysight.comHealing our Sight Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063570817348If you liked this episode, click here to send me a message. "I found proof he was cheating—but was snooping really what I needed to finally leave?” This week's Fan Mail comes from a listener in Dublin, CA, who, after reading Dr. Kerry's book "Love You More," recognized her own relationship mirrored Dr. Kerry's experience, including the urge to snoop. In this episode, Dr. Kerry explains why the urge to snoop is actually all the evidence you need that something's wrong and why finding "proof" never actually breaks the cognitive dissonance. It's natural to feel compelled to reach out to fix things at every level of estrangement. We've been taught to pursue, talk, challenge, and perhaps even expect certain aspects of a relationship with our adult child. You want closeness, but every “fix it” attempt seems to push your adult child farther away. The tension escalates, accusations worsen, and hurtful words or actions become more personal. It makes no sense, and the confusion turns to helplessness. Well-intentioned friends, family, and therapists may advise you to walk away. To close the door. However, is that really what you want? What if there is another option? In this episode, Dr. Janet shows you how concrete self-reflection, neutral consideration of both perspectives, and humble authenticity can change that. You will take the first step to see your communication style and behaviors through your adult child's eyes. You will begin to consider your own communication patterns (e.g., tone, timing, word choice, and intensity) and the power of modifying your communication in real time. You will consider the importance of regulating emotions in the moment and the value of modeling actions that invite trust. Remember, moving through estrangement to rebuild trust and establish healthier communication is at the heart of a new and healthy relationship with your son or daughter. This isn't a sprint; it's steady, observable change your adult child can feel—even from a distance. If you're ready to rebuild calm, clarity, and compassion, this is your starting line.Related EpisodesMom, Mentor, Grandma: Flexing Roles Without Fueling the Fire of EstrangementWhen the Green Monster Rears Its Head: Jealousy and EstrangementWhen Communication Becomes a Power Struggle: Power, Influence, Gaslighting and Coercive Control6 Tips to Proactively Give Space to Your Adult Child and Avoid Misrepresentation#FamilyEstrangement #EstrangedAdultChild #ParentReconnection #ParentalAlienation #ReconnectionStrategist #EstrangementSupport #ParentAdultChildRelationship #EmotionalRegulation #Boundaries #TrustBuilding #CommunicationSkills #EstrangementGrief #MothersOfEstrangedDaughters #FathersOfEstrangedSons #RepairingRelationshipsHi Listeners. “My doctor keeps telling me it's all in my head—but I know something's wrong. Why won't they listen?" This week's Fan Mail question comes from a podcast listener who writes: "Dear Kerry, could you do a podcast on the topic of narcissism, psychopathy and healthcare?…” In this episode, Dr. Kerry breaks down why healthcare settings attract people who crave power and control, how the doctor-patient dynamic creates dangerous vulnerability, and why women are especially at risk of medical dismissal. CeCe shares what it's like navigating hunger, identity, and bias in the fitness industry while living in a changing body, and why weight maintenance often requires more than willpower alone.Ro Chief Medical Officer Dr. Melynda Barnes joins the conversation to ground CeCe's experience in science, explaining obesity as a chronic metabolic disease, how GLP-1 medications support long-term weight maintenance, and why movement and nutrition matter regardless of body size. Together, they unpack the impact of weight stigma in healthcare and fitness spaces, and what compassionate, evidence-based obesity care should actually look like. This episode is for anyone questioning why keeping weight off is so difficult, feeling judged for their body while prioritizing health, or seeking a clearer, stigma-free understanding of GLP-1s and long-term care.Community Guest:CeCe's - Socials https://www.instagram.com/ceceolisa/?hl=en Professional Guest:Chief Medical Officer Dr. Melynda BarnesLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/melyndabarnes/Bio - https://ro.co/weight-loss/dr-melynda-barnes/ ______________________________________________________________________Join this channel to get access to perks: / @theplussidez______________________________________________________________________#Mounjaro #MounjaroJourney #Ozempic #Semaglutide #tirzepatide #GLP1 #Obesity #zepbound #wegovy #ObesityCare #PatientAdvocate #GLP1Community #RealGLP1StoriesSend us Fan Mail! Critic and essayist Jason Guriel joins to talk about Fan Mail and how cultural criticism curdled once gatekeepers vanished and celebration replaced judgment. He makes the case that abundance without curation doesn't democratize culture so much as drown it, leaving readers unsure what's worth their time—or why craft should matter at all. Plus, an analysis of Jack Smith's combative testimony before Congress and how "perjury traps" function when politics, not truth, is the goal. Also, dueling descriptions of Donald Trump at Davos—Pericles to admirers, shambolic horror show to skeptics—and what the split says about our fractured attention economy.
