"How do I know if I'm in an emotionally abusive relationship?" asks a YouTube listener. In this episode, Dr. Kerry explains why even asking this question is an important sign of possible trouble. Dr Kerry will outline what emotional abuse actually looks like (hint: it's not about one-off incidents—it's about patterns) and why you might feel like you're shrinking or walking on eggshells. Abusive relationships turn people into a functional object instead of letting them shine as a fully autonomous and complex person. Longtime sweethearts turn 24 years of spicy role-play into a wild Vegas reality: a handsome stranger buys her a drink, ends up in their room, and delivers their first-ever threesome—complete with deep-throating his 9-inch cock, doggy while she sucks hubby, reverse cowgirl DP that makes her orgasm for over a minute, and a double cum-shot finale all over her tongue, face, and tits.Solo traveler in Paris, already on a hot sex journey, gets accidentally stranded again—this time landing in bed with a sexy, open-minded French couple for an hours-long M/F/F threesome: mutual thigh grinding, pussy-eating masterclass, face-sitting, hard missionary on the guest's tight cunt, and a rare near-simultaneous triple orgasm that leaves everyone shaking. One grateful listener finally acts on years of flirty neighbor vibes after the Playful Neighbor's hot-tub story lights the fire: invites her gorgeous widowed 70-something silver fox over to celebrate good health news, moves the party to her hot tub in a tiny bikini, strokes him hard under the bubbles, rides him slow under the stars until he fills her with the creampie he hasn't felt in years—then drains him again on the couch. Multiple nights since, and he still looks at her like she hung the moon.Fanmail question: Do the filthy stories Nikky reads ever make her touch herself before or after recording?Holiday riddle answer: A Christmas stocking!Submit Your Story: Got a secret fantasy or steamy confession? Our conversation unravels the latest science to distinguish between different types of obesities (e.g., metabolically healthy vs. unhealthy, visceral vs. subcutaneous fat distribution), challenging the perception of obesity as a single, uniform condition. Experts in obesity medicine and educators, we examined the landscape of collegiate obesity and nutrition education of future leaders. We dive into how the landscape of obesity treatment is being introduced to new students and practitioners. Our experts contrast modern, holistic, and evidence-based approaches with past didactic methods, emphasizing metabolic health, patient empathy, and anti-bias training. Our astute educators help Debunk GLP-1 Myths as well. A critical segment is dedicated to dismantling the misconception that weight loss on GLP-1 agonists (like Ozempic or Wegovy) is simply due to calorie restriction alone. Our experts explain the drug's mechanisms involving satiety signals, gastric emptying, and metabolic pathways, proving it is a complex hormonal and neurological intervention.Don't miss this important episode, and learn how the future of obesity treatment is being shaped.Professional Guest:Leah D. Ever felt like you're the problem in your family—even when you're the one being hurt? This week, Ágatha Peters joins Dr. Kerry to explore how cultural expectations and family loyalty create the perfect conditions for narcissistic abuse to thrive undetected. We discuss why narcissism often goes unnamed in non-Western cultures, how the scapegoat role becomes nearly impossible to escape when the entire community reinforces it, and why leaving isn't just about one relationship—it's about losing your entire world. You dodged a bullet!" No—the bullet hit me. I just survived. This week's Fan Mail question comes from a YouTube listener who writes: "People tell me I dodged a bullet. But the bullet hit me—I just survived. I feel like it turned me into a monster. The PTSD caused me to start reacting more strongly to smaller triggers and even did abusive things myself in what I felt was self-defense."In this episode, Dr. Kerry addresses why "you dodged a bullet" feels so wrong, what survivor's guilt really is, why up to 75% of narcissistic abuse survivors develop PTSD, and how to make peace with the protective parts of yourself that helped you survive—without exiling them. In this special season five finale of The Plus SideZ Podcast, we dive deep into the powerful role of genetics in our weight and health journeys. Kim sits down with her mom and sister to share how all three of them have used GLP-1 medications, uncovering the truth that much of our weight is genetically predetermined. They discuss the personal impact of these treatments, the challenges of access, and the transformations they've experienced. Along the way, they reflect on what it's been like to watch Kim grow into an advocate, a top 1% podcaster, and a social media presence—all while balancing the personal connections that matter most. It's a fitting close to the season, revealing how much of our journey is written in our genes and how much we've learned about what we can and can't control.Send us Fan Mail! You're passing the potatoes, making small talk, and meanwhile you're sitting on years of unspoken hurt, unresolved conversations, and roles you never quite chose but still end up playing. In this episode of Love Shack Live, we're talking directly to you if your relationship (or family dynamics) already feel shaky and the holidays crank everything up to a ten. We'll unpack why this season doesn't create conflict, it magnifies what's been left unresolved... old wounds, family roles, people pleasing, anxious attachment, and the “keep the peace at all costs” habits that quietly erode connection.Inside, we explore:What conflict actually is: the collision between our expectations and realityHow people pleasing and staying “nice” often keeps you stuck in illusion instead of realityWhy unresolved tension turns tiny comments into huge reactions around the tableWhat it really means to emotionally regulate (and why it's more like holding a plank than being perfectly calm)How to see conflict as information, not danger, so you can respond instead of explode or shut downOur “holiday decoder” for common one-liners (“Let's just keep it simple this year,” “Let's not talk about politics,” etc.) and what's really being said underneathIf you're tired of dreading gatherings, biting your tongue, or blowing up and then regretting it, this conversation will help you start seeing conflict differently – as a doorway to clarity instead of a sign that everything's falling apart.Want extra support this holiday season? If things already feel tense or overwhelming, the Holiday Survival Bundle gives you the tools to steady yourself fast. For $97 or 2 payments of $55, you'll get:The Holiday Stress Test to pinpoint your exact pressure pointsThree core relationship skill programs to help you:regulate your emotionscommunicate without blowupsstay connected during the hardest weeks of the yearThese tools are simple, fast to use, and made for real-life holiday chaos.Get the bundle here: https://stacibartley.com/holiday-bundle-ncTimestamps: 02:09 Unresolved History and Family Roles06:18 Understanding Conflict: Expectations vs. Reality10:08 The Illusion of People Pleasing12:36 Emotional Regulation and Communication14:54 Practical Examples and Skills for Conflict Resolution21:08 The Importance of Emotional Tension25:33 Recognizing the Precipice: Taking a Pause25:52 The Power of Movement: Shake a Bush26:11 Emotional Regulation in Relationships28:49 Understanding Conflict and Chaos33:25 Navigating Holiday Stress35:37 Introducing the Holiday Survival Bundle38:20 Fan Mail and Listener Questions41:20 Holiday Conversation Decoder Challenge45:13 Final Thoughts and Resources
Hi Listeners. I'd love to hear from you. Send an email to Janet@jesteinkamp. It is not possible to respond to your Fan Mail posts directly. You're not crazy for wanting answers—you're human. It's human nature to want to know how and why things happen. In estrangement, too often the answers don't come, and we are challenged to find closure amid ambiguity. In this episode, I'll walk you through the unrest of not knowing in parent–adult-child estrangement. You'll hear why many adult children don't offer explanations (overwhelm, failed attempts to be heard, self-protection, different views of obligation, and shame/guilt). When we're submerged in uncertainty, there can be consequences for our minds, bodies and souls. So, can you move forward without answers?Listen in to hear 6 aspects of ambiguity and practical tools: mindset reframes, survival strategies and a simple step toward acceptance. If you've ever found yourself stuck in the 'why' or 'how could you' loop, this conversation will help you breathe again, slow the ruminating, and refocus on the present. Dr. Wilner would love your feedback! Click here to send a text! Thanks! Many thanks to neurologist and author Dr. Carolyn Larkin Taylor for joining me as a guest on “The Art of Medicine with Dr. Andrew Wilner.” Dr. Taylor recently published “Whispers of the Mind,” a collection of essays that describes the extreme challenges faced by her patients, poignant moments, and, finally, a concession to the fragility of life —a concession that, frankly, is difficult for many physicians. Dr. Taylor was in the first class of women who graduated from Notre Dame. After graduation, she trained as an optometrist for four years and then practiced for three years. She realized she wanted to do more and decided to go to medical school to become an ophthalmologist. She attended Hahnemann Medical School in Philadelphia, PA. But when she rotated on neurology, she “fell in love with it.” Dr. Taylor ditched ophthalmology and completed her neurology residency at the University of Pennsylvania. She recently worked as a neurologist in Seattle and flew to Alaska a couple of days a month to offer neurology clinics there. Currently, she works at the VA and performs disability evaluations for veterans who have suffered traumatic brain injury. Dr. Taylor stated that her book “chronicles myJourney and growth as both a neurologist and human being.” Dr. Taylor always kept a journal, which allowed her to illustrate her patient anecdotes with incredible detail, both physical and emotional. Despite the gravity of her subject matter, she found many of her patients' stories inspiring. She also shares stories of her golden retriever, Prancer, who accompanied her to work and had a knack for comforting patients. We had a fascinating 40-minute discussion. In this episode of the Believe Big Podcast, Ivelisse sits down with Dr. Jay Richards of the Heritage Foundation to explore the powerful intersection of faith, science, and culture in today's healthcare landscape. Together, they unpack the major shift from truly holistic, patient-centered care to a system focused primarily on disease management—and what it will take to change that.Dr. Richards sheds light on why metabolic flexibility is essential for long-term health and breaks down the regulatory and financial barriers that prevent many patients from accessing integrative and natural therapies, including mistletoe therapy. He and Ivelisse discuss why these barriers exist, how they affect patient choice, and what steps can be taken to move healthcare toward a more integrative model.Whether you're a patient, caregiver, or advocate, this episode offers clarity, encouragement, and actionable steps for advancing a healthcare future where conventional and complementary therapies work together to support whole-person healing.Learn more about Dr. Jay Richards at the Heritage Foundation.Suggested Resources:BOOK: Infiltrated by Dr. Jay RichardsBOOK: Indivisible by Dr. Jay RichardsBOOK: Money, Greed, and God by Dr. Jay RichardsBOOK: Eat, Fast, Feast by Dr. Jay RichardsBOOK: The Anxious Generation by Jonathon HaidtEvents at the Heritage FoundationBelieve Big Integrative Cancer Symposium - Replay (link to purchase the bundle)Send us Fan Mail! She takes us through her remarkable fitness journey, a story defined not by a scale, but by persistence, joy, and challenging societal norms. She shares with us her love for movement at every size and discusses the brave moment she posted her weight on social media. By labeling herself as "The 250-Pound Runner," she has challenged society's normalized perception that "fit" connotes "thin." She is flipping this connection and truly lives the "Fit Has No Size" mantra.Sandra also launched her own magazine, Run Your Life. It chronicles her journey of running in her forties and how this "later start" influenced her approach to training, motivation, and goal setting compared to younger athletes. Sandra offers a powerful message for individuals in larger bodies, particularly in her age group, who are hesitant to start or who struggle to find joy in fitness. She also opens up about her experience with depression after achieving her magazine launch goal, discussing the complex emotional aftermath that can sometimes follow a major accomplishment.Hear Sandra's incredible story on this episode, as her visibility as a marathoner is actively redefining traditional, often exclusive, perceptions of what a "runner" looks like.______________________________________________________________________⭐️Mounjaro Stanley⭐️griffintumblerco.Etsy.comUse code PODCAST10 for $ OFF______________________________________________________________________Join this channel Send us Fan Mail! Send us a textWhen your relationship is already on the rocks, the holidays don't feel magical. They feel brittle. One sharp comment in the kitchen, one loaded question at the dinner table, and suddenly everyone is walking on eggshells just trying to “get through it.”In this episode of Love Shack Live, Staci, Tom, and Brooke talk honestly about why the holidays hit struggling couples so hard.
