Every Monday Brooklyn comedians Brandon Ream and Patrick Hastie talk to a hilarious guest about the best parts of growing up! Stuff like movies, cartoons and snacks! Then every Thursday they do a FUN SIZE deep dive into a specific topic! It rules!
The Nostalgic Front Podcast takes listeners on a delightful trip down memory lane, tapping into the nostalgia of growing up in the 80s and 90s. Hosted by Patrick Hastie and Brandon Ream, this podcast is a treasure trove of forgotten pop culture gems and hilarious anecdotes. The chemistry between Patrick and Brandon is evident from the very start, as they effortlessly bounce off each other's energy, creating a contagious enthusiasm that draws listeners in.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is its ability to evoke strong nostalgic feelings. Whether it's discussing long-forgotten snacks like 3D Cool Ranch Doritos or reminiscing about beloved Nintendo games, The Nostalgic Front Podcast successfully transports listeners back to their childhoods. The hosts' genuine love for the topics they discuss shines through in every episode, making it easy for listeners to connect with their shared experiences.
Another standout quality of this podcast is its lineup of guests. Patrick and Brandon bring on a variety of comedians who not only add their own unique perspectives but also contribute to the camaraderie and laughter that permeate each episode. The chemistry between the hosts and guests makes for entertaining conversations that feel like catching up with old friends.
While The Nostalgic Front Podcast excels in many areas, one potential downside is its fast pace. For English learners or those unfamiliar with American pop culture, keeping up with the vocabulary and cultural references can be challenging. However, this also presents an opportunity for listeners to expand their knowledge and language skills through exposure to new words and concepts.
In conclusion, The Nostalgic Front Podcast is a must-listen for anyone who wants to indulge in nostalgia or simply enjoy some light-hearted comedy. With its engaging hosts, amusing banter, and wide range of topics spanning from cereals to TV shows, this podcast offers a unique and enjoyable experience for both new comedians looking to discover fresh talent and fans of the 80s and 90s hoping to relive their childhood memories. So grab a bowl of your favorite cereal, sit back, and prepare to be whisked away by The Nostalgic Front Podcast.

The 59 Sound is a great album. The rock-a-billy punk style mixed with lead singer Brian Fallon's voice is perfect. Just google these guys and you'll see the Bruce Springsteen comparisons everywhere. And ya, he sounds a little like him and he's from New Jersey, but these guys are defiantly earning there stripes. On first listen, what blew me away, was a "borrowed" chorus on track 4, High and Lonesome, "And Maria came from Nashville with a suitcase in her hand/I always kinda sorta wished I looked like Elvis", the Counting Crows nod there gave me chills. I swear, I replayed the song 10 times. (Also, for The Boss fans, in the same song there is a throwback to I'm On Fire with the line "and I woke up with the sheets soaking wet/it's a pretty good song, maybe you know the rest"). Without a doubt, one of the best albums of 2008.
