Mit Sanctuary: A Bad Batch Novel gelingt Autor Lamar Giles etwas, was selten geworden ist: Er überrascht uns. Schon bei der Ankündigung als Erwachsenenroman hoben sich die ersten Augenbrauen. Wie passt das zu The Bad Batch? Dann auch noch mitten in der Serie angesiedelt? Dann passt das ja noch weniger zum Erwachsenengenre. Nun ja, weit gefehlt. Giles schafft es in Die Zuflucht: ein Bad-Batch-Roman, wie der Roman auf Deutsch heißt, erwachsene Themen zu erzählen und dabei durchgehend den Ton der Klontruppe zu treffen. Humor und Ernst wechseln sich ab, spannende Anta- und Protagonisten kommen hinzu und das Bad Batch wandelt zwischen Projektionsfläche und Hauptfiguren. Viele Punkte also, über die Ines und Tobias mal ausgiebig sprechen müssen. It's always fun bonding with people over shared interests. For Olivia and I, it was Star Wars and The Bad Batch series. It was a pleasure getting to have Olivia join me on the podcast to talk about this, and so much more! We start things off by by getting into Marvel and The X-Men fandom. Olivia talks about some of her favorite movies/shows that exist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and what keeps her coming back for more.
