    Ivy Insights

The She is Loved Project podcast has truly had a profound impact on my life. Jennifer, the creator of this podcast, has provided validation and healing through her powerful words and discussions surrounding the mother wound. This show has allowed me to understand the depth of my own mother wound and how it affects not only me but also my siblings. I am extremely grateful that Jennifer did not talk herself out of creating this incredible platform.

One of the best aspects of The She is Loved Project podcast is how relatable and authentic Jennifer's storytelling is. Her ability to connect with listeners on a deep level makes it feel as though she is speaking directly to our souls. Through sharing her own experiences and delving into topics such as validation and self-worth, Jennifer has created a safe space for listeners to reflect on their own journey and find solace knowing that they are not alone. The content provided in this podcast is both transformative and eye-opening, allowing for personal growth and healing.

While it is difficult to find any glaring flaws in The She is Loved Project podcast, one aspect that could be improved upon is the frequency of episode releases. As someone who deeply resonates with Jennifer's words, I find myself eagerly awaiting each new episode, craving more insight and guidance. Increasing the frequency of releases would allow for even more consistent support for listeners seeking healing from their mother wounds.

In conclusion, The She is Loved Project podcast has been an absolute game-changer in my life. Jennifer's ability to validate our souls' cry, dive deep into the mother wound, and provide comfort through storytelling has been truly transformative. This podcast has helped me realize that seeking validation from those who do not have our best interests at heart is unnecessary, allowing me to appreciate this healing journey even more. I am immensely thankful for Jennifer's willingness to share her story and create a platform where we can all feel heard and seen.

Do you think you take good care of yourself? You shower, brush your teeth, comb your hair and that's it. Do you even eat breakfast? I hate using the word self-care because it's been commodified to mean facials and manicures. In this week's episode we explore the 3rd pillar of reparenting...SELF-CARE. The intention behind self-care that makes it powerful and potent is rooted in 1. PATIENCE 2. COMPASSION 3. ACCEPTANCE. Self-care isn't actually what you do, it's how you do it. Care for the self isn't primarily rooted in external activities. It' how you can inject everyday activities with patience, compassion and acceptance towards ourselves. And in order to do this you have to be present. You have to be aware of what your SELF is asking for at any given moment in time. The hardest part of centering and caring for yourself is battling your thoughts and feelings of unworthiness. Who am I to be happy? Who am I to know joy? If I deserved to be cared for then my mother would've cared for me. The belief we carry is that if she didn't love us then we must not love ourselves and no one can love. She's our mother and she has to be right so we keep upholding the lesson as a way of showing we are worthy of her love by not challenging that thoughts about you.By the end of this powerful episode you'll have a clear understanding of what Self-care really is and how you can create a powerful  and life changing practice.Jennifer Arnise is a Spiritual Coach/Mentor and Intuitive Healer, speaker and author who who helps Black women heal from the painful relationship with their mother so the can love themselves fully and experience more passion, pleasure, joy and fulfillment in their lives.MY FREE HEALING GUIDE: Black Mother Wound Healing Guide https://bit.ly/healingguideYTBUY MY BOOK: Fuck That Cape: The Grown Woman's Unapologetic Guide to Putting Herself First http://Amazon.com/dp/B07C74RBY2SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL: https://www.youtube.com/c/JenniferarniseLISTEN TO THE SHE IS LOVED PROJECT PODCAST: https://apple.co/34vKes2LET'S CONNECT ON IG:  https://www.instagram.com/iamjenniferarniseBUSINESS INQUIRIES: Email me at info@jenniferarnise.comDISCLAIMER: I am not a licensed psychologist, medical doctor, or health care professional and my services do not replace the care of psychologists, doctors or other healthcare professionals. Attempting to drag your toxic mother across the healing finish line so that YOU can receive your trophy of peace, happiness, and the fairytale version of the relationship you want with her isn't going to happen. Your race belongs to you and you alone. The concept of healing alone is one of the many harsh realities that wounded daughters must accept. In this episode, I want to help you reframe the way you view healing - it will be difficult, at times- but trust that you ARE the woman for the job. You might be asking yourself, why can't we heal together? The answer is usually because of our mother's own unhealed trauma and her out-of-date methods for coping. Unless your mother is ready to heal herself, she will not be an active participant in your recovery.Takeaways:The idea of holding black mothers on a pedestal is and has always been unhealthy. Healing your Black Mother Wound will make some people uncomfortable as you go against the status quo. The She Is Loved Project is here to support you. The fantasy of who we believe our mothers ought to keep us from healing. In this episode, I share tips for letting go of the illusion and creating a positive reality for yourself. All of our mothers are dealing with something, but I have found that if your mother is dealing with gender/racial-based trauma coupled with - rape, molestation, and incest, you must understand that she cannot participate in your healing until she deals with her own. Highlights[00:02:03] Healing your Mother Wound has nothing to do with healing, fixing, or repairing the relationship with your mother - it's time for some tough love.  [00:04:15] Your pain and trauma don't have to be validated by anyone to be real - this is why waiting for validation is doing you more harm than good. [00:07:12] Wounded daughters grow up to be emotionally immature women.  I share how you deal with the bruised ego and let go of the fantasy in this episode. [00:08:26] Forgiveness is ideal, but we don't live in a perfect society - listen as I explain why forgiveness isn't required to begin the healing process.  [00:09:29] Letting go of your mother is easy; letting go of the fantasy is what you struggle with.[00:14:43] Have you ever felt like your mother held resentment towards you? Struggle love is defined as a relationship in which one partner does "the absolute most" for the other without reciprocity, aka "any DAMN thing in return."  Unfortunately, growing up with a toxic mother feels similar. As little girls, we bend over backward to "win" her heart while our hearts shatter.  Too many Black women live as fragmented versions of themselves; it's no wonder why we hustle for the love and validation we have been conditioned to give others. In this episode, I share why this happens and what you can do about it. Takeaways: Love is a basic need that no human can be without. In toxic mother-daughter relationships, love isn't given freely; it has to be earned in most cases. The outcome is thousands of Black women endlessly hustling to prove their worth.Until the injured woman heals the wounds of her childhood, she will never be capable of giving or receiving love authentically - not even to herself. Denying your needs as a way to receive love from another person only leads to frustration and Eispair.Highlights: [00:01:03] Do you feel like you're not good enough to receive love without working for it? This week I get RAW as I share my story. In this episode, you will walk away with these key takeaways:Abuse doesn't have to be physical. Withholding affection as a form of punishment is abusive.  Gaslighting is a form of manipulation in which the manipulator wants their victim to question their beliefs, feelings, or perceptions. Daughters of toxic mothers will often gaslight themselves as a coping method. Are you guilty of this? The healing journey isn't always pretty. When you acknowledge your Mother Wound and put your healing before the emotional triggers of others, you gain internal peace. I'll show you how.Takeaways: [00:00:52] My story[00:01:33] The power of autonomy over your story [00:03:04] How vulnerability gives me the strength I need to heal[00:03:45] Identify emotionally unavailable behavior [00:05:31] What is survival parenting [00:08:52] This is why daughters are expected to excuse abusive behavior? Jennifer Arnise is a Spiritual Coach/Mentor and Intuitive Healer, speaker and author who who helps Black women heal from the painful relationship with their mother so the can love themselves fully and experience more passion, pleasure, joy and fulfillment in their lives.MY FREE HEALING GUIDE: Black Mother Wound Healing Guide https://bit.ly/healingguideYTBUY MY BOOK: Fuck That Cape: The Grown Woman's Unapologetic Guide to Putting Herself First http://Amazon.com/dp/B07C74RBY2SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL: https://www.youtube.com/c/JenniferarniseLISTEN TO THE SHE IS LOVED PROJECT PODCAST: https://apple.co/34vKes2LET'S CONNECT ON IG:  https://www.instagram.com/iamjenniferarniseBUSINESS INQUIRIES: Email me at info@jenniferarnise.comDISCLAIMER: I am not a licensed psychologist, medical doctor, or health care professional and my services do not replace the care of psychologists, doctors or other healthcare professionals.
