Some people will deflect blame and make you feel like the problem. In this episode, I dive into this subject by examining a heart-wrenching story from a listener whose partner's jealousy turned violent, leaving her questioning the future of their relationship and her path to healing.
Today, I interview Catherine G. Lucas who opens up about losing her voice in the midst of a painful breakdown. In her late teens she was already standing on stage for public speaking competitions, but by the time her parents divorced during her university years, the weight of family wounds caught up with her. Instead of enjoying summer with friends, she found herself in an acute psychiatric ward, her world shattered and her voice silenced. Her breakthrough came much later, when she discovered that what had been called a breakdown could also be seen as an awakening. It took years of reframing and deep inner work to see her experience not as illness, but as a turning point with the potential for healing.Through mindfulness, patient advocacy, and writing her first book, In Case of Spiritual Emergency, Catherine began to speak from her whole self rather than hide in shame. Today she helps others step into their deeper calling, showing that finding your voice is not about perfection but about expressing the truth of who you are in a way that heals and uplifts.__________________Catherine G. Lucas is the author of four books on how to move successfully through crisis and harness the transformational power it holds. A former university professor, Catherine left her academic career behind to step into her soul's deeper calling, following a profound crisis of awakening. She went on to set up a UK charity and now helps people step into their deeper calling. Her media appearances include BBC Radio 4 and TimeWarner TV, and she regularly speaks internationally. More recently, Catherine has convened the highly acclaimed Birth the New Earth summit.__________________Find Catherine here:https://www.youtube.com/user/CatherineGLucashttps://www.catherine-g-lucas.com/https://www.co-creatingourfuture.world/https://www.co-creatingourfuture.world/free-gift-download/Support the showI'm Dr. Doreen Downing and I help people find their voice so they can speak without fear. In this episode we're talking about the truths we often avoid — the ones that feel too heavy, too risky, or too painful to face. These are the truths about ourselves, our relationships, and our lives that we push aside in the name of comfort, control, or keeping the peace. But avoiding them doesn't make them disappear. It only keeps us stuck in the very patterns that drain us. Together, we'll explore why these truths are so hard to look at, how they show up in everyday life, and what begins to shift when we stop running from them. If you've ever felt that quiet nudge that something isn't working — but you've been afraid to name it — this conversation is for you. Three Takeaways 1. Clarity is freeing, even when it hurts. Avoiding truth costs you more than facing it. 2. Truth builds self-trust. Every time you admit reality, you strengthen your ability to handle it. 3. Facing truth is an act of courage. And it opens the door to healing, better choices, and peace. Avoiding truth doesn't protect us. It only drains us, leaks out sideways, and keeps us living smaller than we're meant to. Send us a textEver wonder why you keep falling into the same relationship patterns? Or why certain childhood memories still sting decades later? The truth might be uncomfortable: you're living out scripts handed down by your parents—scripts they inherited from their parents before them. This episode dives deep into the generational patterns that shape our lives without our permission or awareness. As your host Corey Berrier reveals his personal journey, you'll recognize how childhood experiences before age seven program your subconscious mind, creating protective masks that once saved you but now suffocate your authentic self. Whether you became the overachiever, the people-pleaser, or the tough guy, these adaptations create a fracture between who you truly are and who you believe you must be to survive. The wake-up call comes when you notice the maddening repetition in your life—different partners but same fights, different jobs but same problems. That's not coincidence; it's your inherited script running on autopilot. But here's the empowering truth: what you inherit isn't your destiny. By making the unconscious conscious, taking responsibility without blame, and establishing daily practices that anchor you through life's storms, you can break free from these patterns. The healing journey isn't about becoming someone new—it's about becoming who you were before the masks.Ready to put down the generational burdens you never asked to carry? Ready to hold the pen that rewrites your story? This episode offers both the compassionate understanding and practical wisdom to help you break the chain and finally live authentically. Your inherited past doesn't have to determine your future. Subscribe, leave a review, and share with someone who needs this message—because freedom begins when we recognize the chains we didn't know we were wearing. Show NotesIn this episode, I dive into what a healing journey really looks like. So many people are led to believe that healing is a straight line from pain to peace, but the truth is far more complex and far more beautiful. I share my own experiences with healing, especially around money, trust, and the patterns that have resurfaced throughout my life. I talk about how healing isn't about reaching perfection but about re-remembering our wholeness and learning to approach ourselves with compassion when old wounds come up again.Together, we explore the messy, emotional, and spiralling nature of healing, where one step forward can sometimes be followed by three steps back, and then suddenly a leap forward that changes everything. I also share the signs that show you're healing, like pausing before reacting, forgiving yourself more easily, and recovering quicker from setbacks. And because none of us are meant to do this alone, I remind you about the support we all have from our Angels, guides, communities, and mentors.Towards the end, I pull cards for the week ahead and share the Angelic guidance for September 29th to October 5th, bringing messages of love, joy, focus, and truth. This episode is here to remind you that healing doesn't mean you're broken, it means you're brave enough to keep showing up for yourself.Host Bio:Amanda Tooke renowned Spiritual Teacher and NLP Manifestation Coach is the host of the Angel Mystic Podcast. Dr. Thomas Lodi delivers a transformative perspective on healing that challenges the very foundations of conventional medicine in this eye-opening episode. Instead of using astrological terminology like "cancer," Dr. Lodi refers to these conditions as "Chronically Fermenting Cells" (CFCs) - a term that accurately describes what's happening in the body at a cellular level. From his 21 years of experience at Oasis of Healing in Arizona, Dr. Lodi shares why his approach differs fundamentally from both conventional and many alternative practitioners. While his clinic offers similar modalities to other integrative centers (ozone therapy, vitamin C, etc.), the crucial difference lies in properly implementing these treatments within a comprehensive plan that addresses why the body produces CFCs in the first place. This focus on prevention and sustainable healing sets his methodology apart in a field where recurrence is all too common. The episode takes a serious turn when Dr. Lodi discusses the troubling pattern of truth-tellers in medicine being silenced. Using careful language, he references numerous physicians who practiced integrative medicine and faced severe consequences for challenging mainstream narratives. His passionate call for collective resistance against medical censorship reminds listeners that "we are the elephant" - the 99% who have the power to refuse going where we're led.Dr. Lodi masterfully deconstructs medical terminology around conditions like ulcerative colitis, IBS, and SIBO, revealing how conventional medicine creates complicated classification systems that obscure simple truths about health conditions. These conditions, he explains, fundamentally represent dysbiosis - an imbalance in the microbiome - rather than discrete "diseases" requiring pharmaceutical interventions that merely suppress symptoms wiSend us a text Join Dr. Lodi's Inner Circle membership and unlock exclusive access to webinars, healthy recipes, e-books, educational videos, live Zoom Q&A sessions with Dr. Lodi, plus fresh content every month. In this week's episode of Dear Goddess, I'm sharing why sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is.. have fun. ✨Yes, healing, self-love, and embodiment are sacred but so are the nights of laughter, spontaneous adventures, and saying yes to life outside of the “serious spiritual work.”From surfing and fiestas to tattoos and new friendships, I've been reminded that our joy is medicine, our pleasure is a portal, and fun is what keeps our nervous system regulated and our inner child alive. This episode is an invitation to reclaim play as a spiritual practice and remember that we came here to be human, not just to heal.Inside this episode, I share:

From a childhood fire that left him with burns over his entire body to becoming a bestselling author and global speaker, John O'Leary's story is one of resilience, faith, and the power of love in action. In this conversation, John reflects on the ordinary people who showed up during his darkest hours—family, teachers, and friends—whose courage and kindness helped him heal. His journey reminds us that we don't need a cape to be a hero; we simply need to choose love, offer kindness, and believe that even the smallest actions can change a life. With the upcoming release of his film Soul on Fire, John continues to inspire others to see their life as a gift and to live it with purpose. Key Takeaways: Love and kindness have the power to heal and inspire — even in life's most difficult moments. Small actions can create big ripple effects that impact generations. In 1987, John O'Leary was a curious nine-year-old boy. Playing with fire and gasoline, John created a massive explosion in his home and was burned on 100% of his body. He was given less than a 1% chance to live. This epic story of survival was first showcased in Overwhelming Odds, the book his parents wrote in 2006. It was this book that first invited John to embrace his miraculous recovery and share it with the world. Today, John inspires tens of thousands of people at more than 100 live and virtual events each year. He partners with companies and organizations across fields, such as: sales, healthcare, safety, marketing, finance, faith, education and insurance. Consistently described as “the best speaker we've ever had,” John's tireless schedule is a testament to the power of his message. His emotional storytelling, unexpected humor and authenticity make each presentation unforgettable. John is a two-time bestselling author of On Fire: The 7 Choices to Ignite a Radically Inspired Life and In Awe: Rediscover Your Childlike Wonder to Unleash Inspiration, Meaning and Joy. SOUL ON FIRE will be release in theaters nationwide on October 10, 2025. In this second part of The In Between, we go deeper into the space between where you have been and where you are going, the place that feels messy, uncertain and full of doubt. This is where decisions are made, boundaries are set and enforced and uncomfortable feelings rise up asking to be felt. Some call it limbo, but I believe it is more than that, it is a fertile pause, the ground where healing takes root and trust begins to grow. In this episode, we will talk about how to sit with the muck, allow yourself to feel and still hold space for the life that is waiting for you on the other side. If you are navigating your own In Between, this conversation will remind you that you are not stuck you are just in The In Between. amyloganlife.com
