Taking Interest in Ministry
The Tim Talks podcast is an excellent listen for those seeking bite-sized chunks of wisdom and spiritual counsel. With episodes that are around 20 minutes long, it's easy to fit into a busy schedule. The hosts, Dr. Al and Pastor Wolvin, are not only knowledgeable but also genuine in their faith and love for the Lord. They bring relevant topics and discussions on ministry and life, making each episode enjoyable and thought-provoking.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is the wisdom and advice shared by experienced men of God. Dr. Al and Pastor Wolvin bring years of experience in ministry, providing valuable insights for listeners. Their guests also contribute to the discussions, offering different perspectives on various topics. The humor injected throughout the episodes adds an enjoyable element to the podcast as well.
However, one potential drawback is that some may find the podcast's content to be aimed primarily at those involved in ministry or Christian leadership roles. While there is still valuable content for anyone seeking spiritual insight, those who do not fall into these categories may not find all episodes applicable to their lives.
In conclusion, The Tim Talks podcast is a great resource for Christians looking for bite-sized doses of wisdom and spiritual counsel. With knowledgeable hosts, great guests, relevant topics, and touches of humor, each episode provides valuable insights for listeners. While some episodes may be more niche-oriented towards ministry-related topics, there is still plenty for everyone to take away from this podcast.

Concluding this week regarding Things We Didn't Learn in Bible College, are the aspects of dealing with personal grief and hardships while still in the center of God's will; various aspects of dealing with staff (whether your peers or those you have chosen to work with you); and having long-suffering and forbearance in our preaching and ministering of the Word of God.

Pastor Al & Pastor Dan talk about the intense load that finances bring to the ministry. They also deal with the "peer pressure" of comparing your own preaching with the preaching and the results which other preachers seem to have.

Your hosts start off the week with the topic, "Things I Didn't Learn in Bible College." We discuss how to be better prepared for the unexpected.

How does a pastor determine when to preach messages that are tough to deliver? Is it sometimes better to just go to the person that brings the message idea to mind rather than deliver it to an entire congregation? Well we have two guys that have some thoughts on that today.

Could it be that some times preachers preach in anger or in attempt to pin point a problem? Dr. Stone and Pastor Wolvin take a very real look at what the aim of preaching should be and sometimes the reality of what it really is.

A faithful listener, a pastor, sent in a list of topics that people seem to struggle with. He graciously listed each of them beginning with the letter “M”. Listen in as Al and Dan discuss why people struggle with those topics.

What about those who never seem to find the right one? What is life without ever having had a spouse. Al and Dan look at the possibility that there may not be a Mr. or Mrs. Right AND if you marry Mr. WRONG, because Mrs. never are. (LOL)

This is starting to get serious, we are moving beyond the “talking”, liking, you no longer have cooties stage to … I am REALLY interested. NOW what do we do?? Pastor Wolvin & Dr. Stone co-founders of “B" Harmony are here to help!

At what age should someone start thinking about finding that special someone. What are some of the characteristics and circumstances that we should look for. Well guess who knows … The Dynamic Duo does.

Replacement theology is on an uprise today. Just what does that mean and entail? Al and Dan talk today about what implications that brings and what we as Christians should

Today the guys look a little more closely at the geography, geopolitical position and history of the country of Israel and show why so many have a disdain for the nation of Israel today.

There is some confusion today as to where Christians should show their loyalties when it comes to the modern state of Israel. Are they God's chosen people, do we need to bless them or face God's curse. Tune in and the guys will shed some light.

Pastor Wolvin and Dr. Stone continue on today in search of the right counsellor for you. The conclusion could be drawn sometimes that maybe you just need to do right, accept responsibility and move on OR you can just go to counselling for the rest of your life (not).

Many problems could be avoided or dealt with much quicker if people would just address the issues much sooner. Some may not even need to seek counsel if they would just read the Bible and pray as well. As you will find out in this episode from those deep fountains of counsel, Al and Dan.

They guys look at those times when we may need to get some counselling. Who, what, where, when, are the questions that just to scratch the surface. Listen in as Al and Dan discuss the aspects of counselling and counsellors.

The great advance of technology exalts the wisdom of man - but is it wrong to use that technology? If so, where is the line between "acceptable" and "unacceptable" technology use?

All things work together for good to the believer who loves God, but are "all things" working for good in this world? Should we impose any limits on the technology we use?

Is a common fear of technology valid for believers? If we embrace it, are we hastening the entrance of the antichrist? Should we use it? All of it? Always?

Al and Dan finish the week speaking about money: our obligations, its benefits, its deceit, and the heart issues of all those who possess it.

Today's discussion is over money - not necessarily those without it, but concentrating on those WITH it. Far too many believers are placing their trust in uncertain riches rather than the certainty of the truths of God.

Today's topic is MONEY, MONEY, MONEY. How covetousness is listed as idolatry and why believers should not put their trust in wealth.

When ever confronted by those who may criticize there is always the possibility that, we (cough cough) may, possibly, but not probably, long pause, that maybe WE (meaning YOU) are wrong.

These guys are CRAZY today. Dan is in rare form as they tackle trying to deal with the downers that we sometimes have to face.

Does EVERY church have people that just seem to be the designated downer? Many churches seem to have at least one or two that just love to be cantankerous and or just disagreeable. How do you deal with those. Glad you asked we have two guys that might be able to help you with that.

Now is the time for Christians to rise up, not to fight but to proclaim in BOLDNESS, the good news of Jesus Christ, but how? How in such a time as this? Pastor Wolvin & Dr. Stone lead us on.

Al and Dan discuss the two possible responses to the death of Charlie Kirk today. One will be justice, the other … revenge. Which is right or are they both?

The Christian and conservative world morn the loss of a champion in the assassination of Turning Point America founder Charlie Kirk. How should we as Christians respond?

Should everyone get honor? Our co-hosts tells us today about some who may NOT deserve to be honoured.

There are many in our communities that are do recognition at times Pastor Wolvin and Dr. Stone, mention just a few today that you might reach out to this next year.

Who and when should we give honor / honour to? Are there some who should receive no honor / honour? Al and Dan look at paying homage to those who go just a bit more above.

Today the guys look at those who make decisions made in the moment and who take no thought of the long term effects that sin may have on their lives and then conclude with some success stories.

How should one respond to those who they meet who have walked away from the Lord. Those who may be friendly and those who may be contentious. Al and Dan give us some ideas of how to respond according to God's Word.

Sometimes people leave the things of the Lord. They fall off the rails so to speak. Sometimes they return and sometimes they do not. This week the guys look at who, why, when and what might cause it.

There are other times that people may feel the need to leave their pastoral leadership. Again, not easy but sometimes it's just better. Al and Dan address this and similar thoughts today.

People sometimes are afraid to approach a pastor with a question, concern or complaint. What do you do when it's a serious matter and you really need to deal with it. The guys discuss that today on this episode.

How does a church dismiss a pastor that may be detrimental to the church. Perhaps a pastor that preaches false doctrine or leads the church in a path contradicting the Bible. Well let our hosts tell you.

Pastor Wolvin and Dr. Stone take one more stab at trying to help us understand what the Bible has to say about divorce and remarriage. You might be surprised at what that final word might be.

Some pastor for some reason try to shy away from dealing with this topic and it's teaching but not these guys Al and Dan are all over it …. eventually.

After several requests the guys finally take on the task of discussing the topic of divorce and remarriage. It is without question one of the toughest things to deal with for those going through it and those having to deal with it. But our guys are unafraid.

The guys account some of the longest days they ever had in their ministries today. They finish off the week by sharing some incredible blessings as well.

Dan and Al talk about some crazy things that happens sometimes in the ministry. There's never a dull moment when you are working with people!

After forty years, you'd think that Al and Dan would remember SOME good things about the ministry. We'll see.

Our hosts take us into an area of potential controversy today as they investigate and maybe even suggest that we use some of the most modern methods of reaching people in this generation.

They have done it again. Pastor Wolvin & Dr. Stone have come up with a solution! Well at least to people falling. Getting people to accept Christ and come to church, they are still working on that.

Are you wondering how to get people to know Christ and come to church in a greater capacity than you are right now … join the club. Al and Dan take this week to discuss some of the issue and hopefully solutions to that very issue this week.

A listener asks, “What is the balance between doctrine and practice in a church”. The guys get to the root of the question and offer up some sound advice for those in this situation.

Al & Dan have a great question asked again today, " What if a church changes or if a church no longer meets the need, what should one do and where should they go?” Listen in as our co-hosts try to give some Biblical wisdom.

The guys have discussed the church looking for and at a pastoral candidate, but the question is asked what should a candidate be looking for and at in considering a church & it's pastoral leadership.

Today Dr. Stone and Pastor Wolvin talk about the timing of when to be humorous or not. We all know these guys can crack people up but is it always the right time?

Al and Dan look at some of the decline in church attendance at services outside of Sunday morning and why some of that may be tied to the correlation to peoples joy found in Jesus.

Our illustrious hosts take some time this week to teach us how to add a little humour to peoples lives today. It might be a little trickier than you thought.
