What would you do if you were scheduled to preach to several hundred thousand people and just as you began to speak a torrential rainstorm began? If you are Chris Mikkelson you pray and tell the rain to stop in Jesus' name. He did and the rain stopped. This is just one of many faith building stories Chris shares on this edition of “Finish Strong.” Chris has seen God heal people in dramatic ways. Hershall, today we had a man on Pod'N Me to talk about actual church bus ministry. Now, I know that on a few occasions we have called this podcast a church bus but in reality, it never has been. Pastor Brimm is a friend of mine that I have talked to from time to time (I even referred to him as a best friend on past episodes) and I have profound respect for his passion in the ministry. We have talked about many different aspects of the ministry on here and today we got to hear some stories and advice on having a bus ministry in the local church. We also hear a song that was written by his wife, Sis. Ruth, and was inspired by bus ministry in a church that he pastored. Pastor Brimm tells us how their buses operate to get the gospel out on a weekly basis. It was an honor to hear his from prospective. God Bless! If you would like to access more of their family's music you can find The Brimm's on most all streaming platforms. Enjoy!

Today we covered a lot of the mechanics (pun intended) of bus ministry… what does it take to run effective bus ministry? We also recapped our weeks in Southern and Northern California doing Sunday...
The bus ministry is a ministry everyone can be a part of. We are all unique, and have all been through unique situations that can be used to help others who are going through similar situations in their lives right now. If you choose to invest in the people who ride the bus to church, you will have the opportunity to help children and adults who, for the most part, don't have much. Often, they live their lives each and every day, wishing for someone to love them. You could be that person. Please enjoy "Loving the Bus Ministry" by Providence Baptist College alumnus and staff member, Bro. Phil Johnson.
Today we discuss Kingdom Kids in Tennessee and Sunday School in Rialto, CA, Bardstown, KY and Buford, GA. We also are so excited to have Ruben, a bus rider who has become a member...

From 1991-1992, Laverne Paul Fox, the Bus Ministry Director at Faith Baptist Wildomar, California engaged in sexual relationships with minors, guilting them into silence.Upon discovering this situation, Pastor Bruce Goddard allegedly did not report to authorities but rather ordered Fox to leave the state and the families to stay silent. This story was used as leverage over youth pastor Victor Monterio's victims from 1998-2013. Victor calmly reminded his victim, Rachel Peach, that "preacher won't do anything."But refusing to report abuse is not some unwritten rule at Faith Baptist Church. It is literally a written one.In January 2020, a former member and victim of abuse from Faith Baptist Wildomar shared the church's three-page "Whistle-blower Policy."The instructions are crystal clear:"A supervisor who becomes aware of suspected misconduct should not report the case to an authorized law enforcement officer without first discussing the case with the Pastor, appointed Deacon, Staff Member, or Female Reporter."In this episode, Kathy Durbin shares her story of abuse at the hands of Paul Fox, and the cover-up that ensued.Find more stories regarding the IFB movement by visiting:preacherboysdoc.comhttps://www.facebook.com/preacherboysdochttps://twitter.com/preacherboysdochttps://www.instagram.com/preacherboysdoc/To connect with a community who share the Preacher Boys Podcast mission to expose abuse in the IFB, join the OFFICIAL Preacher Boys Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1403898676438188/Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/preacher-boys-podcast/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
