He was buried in this estate, which was then acquired by the Ministry of Defence in the early 80s. The whole area then grew to become what we now know today as Wangsa Maju. De flesta tror sig också känna till de lika ryktbara som beryktade offerhandlingarna – bloten – med vilka vikingarna firade dem och offrade till dem. Men vad vet vi egentligen om den fornnordiska religionen? Vilka gudar vördade man på riktigt, och hur gick offren till?Sanningen är att vikingatidens förkristna religion var mångfacetterad, med flera olika typer av kulter. Här fanns det småskaliga alvablotet, privata högtider på gårdarna, som främlingar inte fick ta del av, men också de stora riksbloten på platser som Lade, Lejre och Uppsala, där representanter från flera bygder förväntades delta. Här fanns också det kvinnliga sejdandet, då völvor försatte sig i trans och skådade in i framtiden. Origins Series, pt. 3: An Old Earth and the Historical Adam There are so many questions Christians have about what to do with modern-day science and the Genesis text. Indeed, it sometimes seems like it might be the biggest barrier to having real conversations about faith. Does science undermine faith? Does one have to put their brain aside in order to believe the first pages of Scripture? Many have certainly claimed that, and others have tried to fight back against the scientific consensus. Is there another option? In this week's episode, we're joined by Dr. Andrew Loke whose work has quickly placed him as one of the foremost defenders of Christianity today. In his most recent book, he defends not only a literal interpretation of Genesis that is compatible with an old earth but also a perspective that reconciles a historical view of Adam and Eve with genetic evidence. In his brilliant and succinct fashion, Dr. Loke gives us a summary of his radical and provocative new proposal that shows science and scripture are two complementary paths to the same truth.

Huston has previously served as a committee member of the Financial Stability Board and an advisor to the CEO of the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), and as the Director of Corporate Finance at the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC). In this episode, Huston shares what exactly FSRA is doing to help protect consumers in Ontario and the red flags to look out for when seeking financial services.
