In recent years, the rise of antisemitism has been evident worldwide. Individuals at university campuses, in church pulpits, media influencers and world leaders have all condemned Israel for defending her borders and fighting with enemies who constantly attack and surround them. Hatred and condemnation towards Israel's government, the nation, or Jews in general, has escalated. We know that no nation or government is blameless, nor do we have to agree with every action taken, but staying on God's side of this very important issue is critical for the Christian. The assassination of Charlie Kirk is not just a violent act—it's a grim reflection of where society is heading. Instead of silence, grief, or even sober acknowledgment, the response has been grotesque celebration: memes, applause, and smug satisfaction from those who believe bullets can replace debate. This moment isn't about Kirk as a person or his politics—it's about whether words still hold meaning in a world that increasingly treats violence as the ultimate form of persuasion. The chilling truth is that if we normalize this response, no one is safe. To cheer the silencing of one voice is to declare open season on all voices, including our own. The precedent being set is not one of justice, but of mob rule—where disagreement can mean death, and where communication is abandoned in favor of carnage. If we don't recognize the danger now, then we've already lost the fragile thread of dialogue that keeps civilization intact.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

The new Congressional map for Missouri flies through the state House and is on its way to the Senate. The goal is to flip a Dem district in the KC area red but there are no guarantees. Let's hope they got this thing right. Two NFL teams, for most Kansas Citians coming out of nowhere, have announced their newer facilities than Arrowhead are being replaced by brand new multi billion dollar parks with all kinds of development around them. Nobody is remodeling anymore. DC is safe and Trump is dining out with JD Vance and Marco Rubio but it sure doesn't look safe to me. Eagles defensive lineman Jalen Carter spit in the face of Dak Prescott in their first game and gets a one game suspension. You won't believe why the game he will miss is NOT Sunday at Arrowhead. The Royals are in huge trouble to make the playoffs with just 17 games to go. World Cup tickets are on sale today and we have a preview of the drink menu at 1587.

AI isn't your enemy. But the strategist who knows how to use it better than you? That's who you should be watching out for.AI is everywhere right now. From fear-mongering headlines to overhyped promises of million-dollar prompts, it's easy to feel like you're already behind. But here's the truth:AI won't replace you—unless you ignore it.In this episode of The Strategic Ad Manager's Guide to AI and Staying in Demand, I'm breaking down exactly how smart freelancers and ad managers are already using AI as their secret weapon—without losing their value or becoming robots.Let's dive into how to use AI without losing your edge.Topics Covered In This Episode:The three “camps” of opinions on AI – fear of replacement, overhyped promises, and total rejection. How ad managers can strategically use AI – especially in ways that enhance (not replace) their skills.AI for ad management tasks – copywriting, audience research, ad variations/testing, reporting/analytics, and client SOPs/systems.What AI should not be used for – strategic decisions (budget, funnel structure, messaging without context, creative direction without tone, sales calls, pitching value). The importance of human insight – understanding clients' real-life context, emotions, and unique business needs.AI as a tool to increase efficiency and profitability – helping ad managers scale without hiring large teams, while still relying on their own expertise and soft skills.Find the full show notes at: https://brandimowles.com/264 Want More Like This? ⬇️Click Here To Learn More About AI in Advertising: What Freelancers Need to Know for 2025Additional Resources:

Fentanyl trafficking sentences in BC just got a major overhaul. The BC Court of Appeal has mapped out clearer sentencing guidelines, creating a three-tier system that reflects the devastating impact of the deadly opioid crisis. Street-level dealers now face 18 months to 3 years, mid-level traffickers 4-7 years, and wholesale distributors 8-15 years behind bars. The Court emphasized this framework still allows judges to tailor sentences to individual circumstances, but makes clear that the gravity of fentanyl trafficking demands serious consequences. With over 14,500 British Columbians having lost their lives to toxic drugs in just eight years, the justice system is responding with a structured approach to punishment. At Simon Fraser University, academic freedom and freedom of association collided when faculty members challenged their own Faculty Association's resolutions on Gaza. The controversial statements narrowly passed but sparked a legal battle under the Societies Act. The case highlights a fascinating tension - what happens when you're required to belong to an organization that takes political positions you fundamentally oppose? The court ultimately allowed the Faculty Association broad latitude in its activities, continuing a precedent that permits professional associations to venture beyond their core employment-related purposes. This ruling affects anyone in Canada who must maintain membership in unions or professional organizations. We wrap up with a constructive dismissal case that seems straight out of a comedy sketch - except it was all too real for the employee involved. A 63-year-old comptroller was given notice of termination but required to keep working for eight months while being gradually replaced by someone actually named "Mr. Bean." Adding insult to injury, the employee was relocated to an interior office without air conditioning (at an air conditioning company!). The court recognized these cumulative actions created an intolerable work environment, awarding 15 months' severance and confirming employers cannot circumvent termination obligations by making work conditions unbearable.Have questions about how these legal developments might affect you? We'd love to hear your thoughts on these fascinating intersections of law and everyday life. Plus Why GPT-5 Flopped AI's Next Hustle? Recruiting People to Train More AIForget robots hiring humans—AI's hiring trainers. Mercor built an AI recruiter that interviews candidates, and guess what? The real cash cow wasn't hiring—it was recruiting folks to teach more AI. That means your next job might be training our algorithm overlords, not working for them. This AI Startup Claims It Can “Eliminate Crime” But Has a Wild Surveillance EmpireFlock Safety runs an army of AI‑powered cameras—over 80,000 across the U.S.—and says it's out here trying to “eliminate crime.” But the reality's messier. It's not just about footage—it's a surveillance network blowing up with privacy alarms, legal headaches, and serious civil‑liberties chatter. Why GPT-5 Flopped—and What AI Needs to Do NextGPT-5 was hyped as almost AGI, but it stumbled on math, riddles, and reliability. Critics say the “bigger is better” scaling mantra has hit a wall. Instead of chasing size, experts argue AI should borrow from cognitive science—world models, core knowledge, neurosymbolic blends—to actually move past statistical mimicry.Vibe Coding Is Here—Engineers Aren't Replaced, They're Now Tech ConductorsAI isn't killing coding—it's evolving it. In "vibe coding," engineers describe what they want in plain English, and AI converts that into code. Suddenly, engineers are orchestras, not typists—spending more time designing systems, not debugging syntax. The grind's automated; creativity's upgraded. Why Teachers Want Student Effort, Not AI's “Perfect” ShortcutA San Francisco teacher caught a student with completely polished writing but zero understanding. Rather than perfection, she values effort—the grit of digging into a text, wrestling with structure, and building academic resilience. Because shortcuts may polish papers, but they dull the skills that actually let students think for themselves. Are Zuckerberg's AI Dreams Actually Risky? Experts Warn “End of Humanity” Might Not Be MetaphorZuck's pushing “personal superintelligence for everyone,” but some AI safety pros think it's more hype than harm reduction. David Krueger at the University of Montreal calls the term “coherent”? Literally branding. Experts say he's glossing over the real existential threats advanced AI could bring—if we're not careful.Your Strategic Plan Is Already Obsolete—AI Just Made It AncientForget year-long playbooks—AI crunches plans in minutes, while markets shift by the hour. Strategy isn't a deck anymore, it's a living thing: snapshot it, run scenarios, then tweak—weekly or even daily. The future belongs to orgs that ditch static planning and embrace always-on adaptability.

Sales and marketing teams at war? You're not alone. While most companies treat these as separate functions fighting for resources, the winning businesses have cracked the code on true revenue alignment. In this eye-opening episode, I sit down with A. Lee Judge, author of "CASH" and founder of Content Monster, who reveals the uncomfortable truth about why some companies are eliminating CMO positions entirely and replacing them with Chief Revenue Officers. But it's not what you think.Lee, who uniquely served as both a marketer managing Salesforce and a bridge between warring departments, shares the simple meeting strategy that transformed competing teams into unified revenue machines. You'll discover the specific metrics that keep marketers employed when budget cuts come, and why learning to "speak sales language" isn't just helpful—it's survival.Key Takeaways:Why the traditional marketing "handoff" to sales is dead (and what replaces it)The sports team analogy that will change how you view sales and marketing foreverHow to reverse-engineer closed deals to discover what marketing actually worksThe meeting hack that eliminates silos and creates alignment overnightSpecific revenue-focused KPIs that prove marketing's worth to the C-suiteWhy 80% of the customer journey happens before sales gets involvedWhether you're running a team of 2 or 200, the principles Lee shares about creating feedback loops, shared metrics, and collaborative systems will transform how you think about growing your business. It's been a bit of a rough go for Obsidian as of late. Compared to their usual RPG triumphs, Avowed felt quite a bit less than that. However, not all of it was entirely their fault. At one point, Xbox chose to make this the $80 game that would lead the charge in a new era of high prices. After considerable pushback, they chose to drop the price to $70. While a welcome sight, some have debated if even that is a fair price point for what appears to be a AA RPG. Now, marketing has kicked the hornet's nest with the latest companion trailer. So, here we are. Cog and Matty played the prologue section of the game and our thoughts are mixed. There certainly wasn't a "sound the alarm" moment, but it read to the Dukes like a less confident showing. Much of what makes an Obsidian RPG great is here. However, after the preview failed to show how that would be executed, both Dukes were left feeling like there is more that could've been done. Now, the tough decision falls to Xbox. Do you risk another preview and overexpose the game to try and correct things? Do you ride into launch and hope for the best? The person you were five minutes ago is already gone. Dead. Replaced ten billion times over by new cells, new thoughts, new electrical impulses firing through your neural pathways. Yet here you are, still playing the same character, still wearing the same invisible costume of limitation you put on this morning when you remembered who you're supposed to be.But supposed to be according to who? Every genius, every leader, every revolutionary who ever changed the world started exactly where you are - as potential wearing a disguise. Einstein was a patent clerk. Oprah was born into poverty. Tesla was dismissed as crazy. They weren't special. They just stopped asking permission to become who they really were. Your potential isn't hiding. It's not waiting for you to find it. It's screaming at you through every desire, every dream, every moment of dissatisfaction with the role you're playing. That restlessness you feel? That's not failure. That's your unlimited self rattling the cage of who you've settled for being. The universe doesn't care about your resume. It doesn't check your credentials. It responds only to who you decide you are in this moment. And that decision - that single, powerful, reality-bending decision - requires no one's approval but your own.

I challenge the belief that we must wait for ideal conditions to engage, advocating for direct action in addressing real issues. Drawing on personal experiences and professional insights, I highlight the pitfalls of striving for perfection and the importance of measurable impacts in philanthropy. The discussion touches on the concept of a "mystery religion" in modern culture, critiquing blind faith in authority. John Dwyer — founder of The Institute of Wow, direct response marketing expert, and creator of standout campaigns (including a rare Jerry Seinfeld deal) that help businesses win without competing on price. Key Points: Theming sells: Inspired by Disney, JD uses evergreen, public domain themes (wildlife, outer space, dinosaurs) to make offers irresistible year‑round. Free IP example: Attack of the Dinosaurs collectible promo netted $500K in 4 weeks. Seinfeld home loan campaign: Replaced rate discounts with a free vacation, resulting in billions in extra loans. Incentives over discounts: Low‑cost/high‑perceived‑value rewards take focus off price — must match what the audience wants. Turf farm + premium beer bonus = sold out in days. Loyalty rewards swapped for movie vouchers boosted response. Ultimate incentive — travel: Access to unsold hotel rooms sold as bulk vouchers (~$48 special). Works for big‑ticket and demo offers; Harley dealers see ~3.5 sales per 10 test rides. Same cost as a 10% discount, far more pulling power. Doesn't work for every sector (e.g., funerals). JD's Principles: Don't discount — differentiate with irresistible offers. Match incentive to customer desires, not product features. Use free IP themes to avoid licensing costs. Focus on high perceived value / low actual cost. Connect with John: vacationsincentive.com (email for 2‑for‑1 podcast listener deal) Email: john@theinstituteofwow.com
Automating medical coding presents significant challenges due to the intricate nature of health information management, particularly medical records, which form the bedrock of healthcare coding and billing. Protected Health Information (PHI) exists in various formats, including handwritten notes, patient intake forms, and dictated lab reports. This lack of standardization poses a considerable hurdle for AI systems.Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) professionals—such as coders, billers, and auditors—possess the contextual understanding necessary to interpret and extract crucial information from diverse and sometimes illegible records. The complexity of abstracting documentation is further compounded by ambiguous acronyms, localized jargon, and specialized medical language. Additionally, a substantial portion of the information provided to coders is subjective, demanding a level of interpretation that current AI technology may not yet possess. For AI to acquire these essential skills, medical coders will need to train the systems, and auditors will be responsible for verifying their accuracy. This technological shift is inevitable, so RCM professionals should consider developing these skills to remain competitive in the evolving IT landscape.Join us as host Terry Fletcher welcomes Sirisha Bommireddipalli to the show for an insightful discussion on this important topic.

So much to cover with DD; he was an All Star, a Silver Slugger winner, he hit a HR in his first World Series at bat. He also replaced Brooks Robinson, the beloved long time 3B in Baltimore. Hear how he dealt with fan reaction, being traded to the West Coast and developing a gorgeous golf course. Those are just a few things we covered on this incredible episode of The Approach Shot.

This week on 2 Bears 1 Cave, Tom Segura and Bert Kreischer reunite in sunny California for a jam-packed episode full of FOMO, fatherhood, and flaming hot air balloon disasters. The bears talk about Tom's California vacation and getting into surfing with his boys. They dig into wild parenting comparisons, Luis J. Gomez's insane training routines, and Bert feeling FOMO for Andrew Schulz's perfect summer life on Instagram. Tom then drops major news about shooting a new Netflix movie called El Tigre, which leads to Bert sharing his own plans for filming the series Free Bert in Atlanta. With both Bears tied up all summer, they announce special "Summer Bears" episodes and name the two hosts Chris Distefano and Stavros Halkias. Things get political (kind of) as Bert and Tom debate who should talk about world issues—spoiler alert: it's not them. Bert then rants about the sheer terror of hot air balloons and Tom tells another legendary Top Dog tale about how he diverted a plane so he could take a piss. Buckle up—it's a bumpy (and hilarious) ride. 2 Bears, 1 Cave Ep. 296 https://tomsegura.com/tour https://www.bertbertbert.com/tour https://store.ymhstudios.com Chapters 00:00:00 - Intro 00:00:40 - Father FOMO 00:05:07 - The Summer Bears 00:16:45 - FaceTiming Chrissy D 00:20:16 - The Middle Class Of Comedy 00:33:09 - Bert Explains Global Politics 00:39:48 - Hot Air Balloons Are Sketch 00:49:29 - Crazy Plane Stories 01:00:17 - Helicopters 01:06:45 - Uber Driver Smackdown Learn more about your ad choices.
