Janet shares a word of encouragement!  There is a HOPE for your future! GOD has GOOD things He wants to give you! He has an inheritance for you. The best is yet to come.   I want to share with you  scripture that has been on my heart and a word I feel like God put in my spirit. I don't know, but I feel maybe someone needs to hear God speak over your life. I want to read in  Amos 9:11-15  and pay close attention to these words: RESTORE, RAISE-UP, REPAIR, REBUILD   Amos 9:11-15 Living Bible 11 “Then, at that time I will rebuild the City of David, which is now lying in ruins, and return it to its former glory,  14 I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel, and they will rebuild their ruined cities and live in them again; they will plant vineyards and gardens; they will eat their crops and drink their wine.  15 I will firmly plant them there upon the land that I have given them; they shall not be pulled up again,” says the Lord your God   You've got to hear all the Lord has put in my heart for you! Somebody needs to hear this: Don't let the season of pain and loss determine WHERE God is taking you and WHAT He is doing IN YOU! Listen, Jesus will take every ounce of your pain…….. He will plant it……and it will reproduce JOY.  There is a harvest of joy coming your way!” The Lord is your Helper! The Word says in Psalm 121 I will lift up my eyes to the mountains. Where will my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. He will not let your feet go out from under you. He Who watches over you will not sleep. Listen, He Who watches over Israel will not close his eyes or sleep.  The Lord watches over you. The Lord is your safe cover at your right hand.  The sun will not hurt you during the day and the moon will not hurt you during the night. The Lord will keep you from all that is sinful. He will watch over your soul. The Lord will watch over your coming and going, now and forever. Some of you are wondering why certain doors have shut in your life.  It's because, the Lord is watching over you.  You are asking God why certain things have happened or why certain things have not happened.   Now, I'm not gonna lie….I've been there…..recently….asking God, “what is going on”. It seems like when it rains….well…..it pours!!! But you know what? The Word says that God is watching over every detail of our lives.  We need to trust HIM.  And….take advantage of the HELP he's giving us. Remember! You are the apple of His eye. You are precious to the Lord! His eyes have been on you and He has seen Your pain.  There is a time coming and it is now that, and I am restoring and I will RESTORE all the devil has stolen. I have raised up people in the past and I am raising you up now…. I will RAISE YOU UP to bless you and you will be a blessing!  I have repaired in the past, I am repairing now……I will REPAIR all that has been damaged!  I have rebuilt in the past, I am rebuilding you now……and I will REBUILD all that has been devastated! Why? Because I love you! Now is the time to RISE UP to BE A BLESSING to everyone you meet!  You will plant seeds of HOPE and while you are “being a blessing” to someone, I am preparing a “blessing” for you!

We are going to drop into a whole new kind of location on the WASP, the Turks and Caicos Islands, near the Bahamas. Drexwell Seymour was raised in this British possession into a family with very modest means but not knowing any different, he was a happy child. However, he endured quite a bit of racism while in school, which greatly affected his self-confidence. He threw himself into his studies and graduated high school at the age of 15. He got an incredible break when an American philanthropist awarded Drexwell a scholarship to attend Wilmington College in Ohio, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business Management in only three years. He then precociously added on an MBA from Miami (Ohio) University by the time he was 19. Armed with these degrees before he turned 20, he returned to his home islands, hoping to get into the hospitality industry. We have all encountered this Catch-22 - he was told he couldn't get into that industry because he didn't have experience. So with his accounting degree, he created his own opportunity in that field, and later eventually started his own firm and became owner of a hotel as well. Suddenly the young man who had been filled with self-doubt was a respected community leader, and his success has springboarded him to become a civic leader in the vexing issues facing his small country, which still has not achieved independence from Britain. It has also led him to writing books and speaking gigs. His first book, Rise Up and Take Your Position: Don't give up. Find your Gift and Cultivate It became an international bestseller on Amazon. He's just released his second book, Succeeding In Your Position: Ten Essential Ingredients for Success that covers how to build self-confidence, deal with everyday challenges, and live passionately and purposefully to achieve all of your goals by detailing the numerous timeless concepts that anyone can use. Among these he teaches is how to find your gift, search for meaning in your life, overcome your fears, how to look at failure as opportunity, and then cultivate your meaning, work on it, and rise up to share it with the world and make you successful. I think you'll enjoy hearing how this dynamic man seized every opportunity given to him and used the gifts that he discovered only through hard work to change his life trajectory and be able to share it with others.Drexwell Seymourdrexwellseymour.cominfo@drexwellseymour.comFacebook Drexwell SeymourInstagram @drexwellgseymourHis books:https://www.amazon.com/Rise-Take-Your-Position-Cultivate/dp/B09JF3W26J/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=https://www.amazon.com/Succeeding-Your-Position-Essential-Ingredients/dp/1637653719/ref=tmm_hrd_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=Bill Stahlsilly_billy@msn.comFacebook Bill StahlInstagram @stahlor and @coachstahlYouTube We Are Superman Podcast

Psalm 94:16-23 - "Who Will Rise Up for Me..."

Pastor Mike Impact Ministries

Psalm 94 deals with the unjust treatment of the poor and helpless by wicked and evil people. We live in a day when we don't know who to trust. Not only do we see corruption and injustices around the world, but we are also experiencing it in our own blessed America. The culture today calls evil good and calls good evil. This is nothing new. Isaiah describes this very same thing in his own day in Isaiah 5:20-23: “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;"   The unknown writer of Psalm 94 gives us at least four things we can do when we are perplexed about the injustices in our society. In verses 1-7, we need to pray and cry out to God to take “vengeance” on these evil people. In verses 8-11, we must live and speak “the truth” to warn the wicked of the judgment they are going to face from God one day if they don't change their ways. In verses 12-15, we need to look inwardly at our own hearts and make sure that we are willing to receive God's chastening and discipline when we do wrong.   Now the fourth thing we can do is found in verses 16-23. We can and should work with God for justice in the world we presently are living in. And that is where you actually live. That is your community, your church, your work place, your school, your neighborhood, and wherever you are. Even in Solomon's day, people who were abused and exploited had no redress and found no one to execute justice on their behalf. He wrote: “Again, I observed all the oppression that takes place under the sun. I saw the tears of the oppressed, with no one to comfort them. The oppressors have great power, and their victims are helpless.” (Ecclesiastes 4:1).   It must have been much worse in the days of wicked King Manasseh, just before the fall of Jerusalem. This is when we believe the psalmist who wrote Psalm 94 was possibly living. In verse 16 he asks “Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?” This question is rhetorical and the writer answered it himself in verse 17 with "the Lord." The Lord of all the earth will stand up and we should rise up and stand with Him!   The psalmist was experiencing the devious plots of the evil leaders and cried out to God for help. He knew that the judges were twisting the law to exploit the poor. They were “devising evil by law” (v. 20). He felt like he was slipping into a deep and dangerous situation. His heart was anxious within him, but the Lord held him up, pulled Him out, and gave him peace within.   He was grateful for other believers who stood with him and prayed with him, for "my God" in verse 22 became "our God" in verse 23: “The LORD our God shall cut them off.” He trusted the Lord to bring about the judgment that the evil leaders deserved. Like Asaph in Psalm 73, he had been slipping in his faith and walk, but God showed him that the wicked were in slippery places and heading rapidly toward judgment (Psalm 73:2-3, 18, 27-28).   In these evil days, we give thanks that we have the Lord as our refuge and fortress. But we hide in Him, not that we may escape responsibility, but that we might be equipped to go forth and fight the enemy. Jesus said that we are to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world (Matt. 5:13-16). God's people should do all they can to encourage justice in this world. As Edmund Burke said, "It is necessary only for the good man to do nothing for evil to triumph."   Jesus gave us an encouraging parable in Luke 18:1-7 that also reminds us that our Father in heaven is a just judge and He will avenge us of our adversary when we cry out to Him. Today we need to rise up, stand up, and speak up for the innocence blood of the babies that is being shed.  May the Lord give us courage to do so!   God bless!

“We move forward every school year with our minds set upon Him, our hands and our knees ready for battle.” Today Aubrie is joined by our Moms in Prayer President, Sally Burke. Sally excitedly reveals our new Moms in Prayer theme for the year. Be encouraged as she shares answer to prayer after answer to prayer of how God is moving around the world. God IS working in this generation!  The Moms in Prayer Podcast is a part of the Christian Parenting Podcast Network. To find practical and spiritual advice to help you grow into the parent you want to be visit ChristianParenting.org ABOUT OUR GUEST Sally Burke's introduction to the ministry in 1990 was life changing. Compelled by joy and the hope God gave as she prayed with others for her children and their schools, Sally began to reach out and share with other moms—first as a Moms in Prayer group leader, then area coordinator for her hometown, and later as regional coordinator. In 2008, Sally became the Director of Field Ministry at Moms in Prayer headquarters, overseeing ministry expansion worldwide. Today, in her role as President of Moms in Prayer International, her vision remains unchanged, that more children and schools and moms might experience God's life-changing answers to prayer. Sally is also an international speaker, teacher and author of Raise Them Up, Start with Praise, Unshaken and the Unshaken Study Guide. As a child growing up in Florida, Sally was fascinated with the space program and began her career as a space shuttle engineer with a Master of Science in Management. After her marriage and the birth of two children, Sally and her husband came to faith in Christ, and Moms in Prayer soon became a top priority. She and husband, Ed, now have four grown children, two sons-in-law, two daughters-in-law and four grandchildren. In her leisure time, you'll find Sally on a walk or run, curled up with a good book or enjoying the company of friends.   SCRIPTURES We will not conceal them from their children, But tell to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, And His strength and His wondrous works that He has done. For He established a testimony in Jacob And appointed a law in Israel, Which He commanded our fathers That they should teach them to their children, That the generation to come might know, even the children yet to be born, That they may arise and tell them to their children, That they should put their confidence in God And not forget the works of God, But keep His commandments, And not be like their fathers, A stubborn and rebellious generation, A generation that did not prepare its heart And whose spirit was not faithful to God. Psalm 78:4-8 NASB So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11 NKJV to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.' Acts 26:18 ESV In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, Ephesians 1:13 ESV Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2 NIV The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 NIV   LINKS BOOKS Raise Them Up: Praying God's Word Over Your Kids Start with Praise: Living Empowered Through Prayer Unshaken: Experience the Power and Peace of a Life of Prayer Unshaken Study Guide   MOMS IN PRAYER New to Moms in Prayer? Coming in HOT this week! Amy Hopkins is the founder of Saltwater Mountain Co., a cold-water dipping and wellness outfitter based in York, Maine, so I was stoked to talk to her, hoping that a tiny bit of thinking about all the cold water would translate into cooling me down in the crazy humid September summer we're experiencing! We do indeed talk a lot about cold water dipping today - and so much more. Amy brings a unique compendium of skills and life experiences to her latest entrepreneurial endeavor, which should serve as great inspiration for all of us - basically a reminder that it's really never too late to change your mind and try some new and different things. This is a timely message for all those high school seniors/college freshmen out there - I hope they listen to this one and realize they doesn't have to have their whole life figured out at 17! There will be plenty of opportunities to expand, grow and pivot to come - and bottom line, trying something new and challenging yourself with a little discomfort can have some hugely positive effects on your mental health!Make sure to follow Amy's Instagram page @dipdowntoriseup for her schedule of community dips, and be sure to check out the SaltwaterMountainCo.com website for more information on retreat offerings and all of the other fun ways Amy is blending her loves of cold water, yoga, bodywork, and more into uplifting experiences for her growing community. Camille shares how both receiving intensive outpatient eating disorder support at a treatment center, as well as being part of our virtual FAST Track Program helped her feel less alone in her struggles, connecting her to a community of female athletes she could relate to and be motivated by. Having completed the FAST Track Program, she talks about maintaining the connection to this community and the Rise Up Nutrition team as part of our Alumni Program: key reasons she believes the FAST Track Program was truly transformational for her. She discusses her fears and hesitations about whether the program would actually work for her (spoiler alert: it did!), and how our team helped Camille stay accountable and on track making good nutrition choices. We talk about what food freedom means, intuitive eating, and respecting your hunger and fullness cues. Camille shares about her struggles transitioning to college freshman year, and the culture of disordered eating and mindsets in gymnastics, including body judgment, comparison and perfectionism. Now entering her sophomore year, Camille talks about the coping skills she's learned to support herself, and how improving her nutrition has led to big athletic improvements. By embracing her body's strength, rather than trying to look a certain way or be smaller, Camille has seen her gymnastics performances improve, something Camille wants to highlight to listeners. Camille speaks about studying to become a dietitian and the power of sharing our struggles to help others.  Follow Camille on Instagram @camille.lindley and me, your host Lindsey Cortes, @female.athlete.nutrition  We have a huge announcement! One of the keys as Christians, as Richfield explains, is to get involved in the spiritual fight we are facing today. Stop waiting on the elections to save America, he explained, and start rising up yourself to turn things around. First that means taking care of your own house with wealth protection and self-reliance when it comes to food, water and power. In this solo episode of the Female Athlete Nutrition podcast, I dive deep into the topic of nutrition and fitness apps and trackers. With most smartphones already having health apps downloaded from the start, and millions more available to download, access to nutrition and fitness apps has never been greater. I question whether this is always a good thing, and the potential harms and unintended consequences they may contribute to. From calorie counting apps and fitness trackers, like MyFitnessPal and Strava, to professionally guided apps and virtual coaching platforms, such as the one I use with my clients, I review their pro's and con's. I conclude with my thoughts on the best apps available, and how we can ensure these platforms are helpful not hurtful.   I strongly advise you to engage with these apps and trackers cautiously. And the best advice I can give is to seek professional guidance to see long lasting, personalized, and evidence-based nutrition and fitness guidance. There are apps that you can track your health progress with the help of a coach for just that! I use an app with my clients and it allows all the benefits of tracking, without all the consequences! If you find that using nutrition or fitness trackers has a negative impact on your physical or mental health, it may be time to delete the app but pick up the phone and make a call to get the professional guidance you need! You can do so by heading to www.RiseUpNutritionRUN.com and booking a call with me to discuss your personal nutrition needs! In this episode of the Female Athlete Nutrition podcast, I talk with Heidi Strickler, a fellow Registered Sports Dietitian specializing in female athletes, eating disorders, REDS and amenorrhea. As well as being an athlete herself, Heidi has overcome her own nutrition and mindset challenges, and uses these experiences to benefit her work today. Here, Heidi vulnerably shares her personal 12-year battle with an eating disorder during high school, college, and her early career as a dietitian. Beginning with an obsession with healthy eating and restriction, Heidi's struggles morphed into binging and purging, alongside a disordered relationship with movement competing as a top collegiate athlete. Heidi talks about reaching rock bottom and how treatment helped her climb her way out, gaining newfound mental freedom and inner peace. We discuss eating disorder recovery, its nonlinear trajectory and the danger of unrealistic expectations. For Heidi, and many of our clients, recovery is a practice of actively questioning your motives for your food and movement choices, identifying disordered thoughts, and maintaining healthy habits, like always fueling before workouts. A lifelong athlete, competing in a variety of sports from cycling and trail running, to snowshoeing and climbing, Heidi talks about how her relationship with movement has evolved. We explore what a healthy exercise relationship looks like, one motivated by joy and curiosity rather than punishment and a desire to change your body. We contrast the consequences of under-fueling, like injuries and menstrual changes, with how good running in a well-fueled body feels! Ruby Wyles is an elite level runner and athlete who has worked through significant health challenges. She is currently pursuing the exciting new world of multisport, as a triathlete. From an early age, Wyles experienced serious challenges with disordered eating. While her health was stabilized, Wyles' fraught relationship with body image and food wasn't completely healed, especially when it came to the mental health facet of that process. Over time, Wyles, who is British, also found a passion for running. She developed into an elite level runner and earned an athlete scholarship to run in the US. Then, COVID hit. Wyles behaviors around disordered eating and body dysmorphia began to escalate, until, as she describes it, she was at rock bottom. Ultimately, Wyles sought help from sports dietician and nutrition coach Lindsey Cortes, founder/owner of Rise Up Nutrition, where Cortes and her team focus on helping women athletes with disordered eating habits recover and regain health and wellness. In this episode, we hear from Wyles, telling her story, as well as Cortes, who shares her thinking and strategies for helping athletes like Wyles get on a path to health. This is a unique look at what the healing process from body dysmorphia and disordered eating can look like, from both the first-person perspective, as well as from the perspective of someone experienced in coaching people through these fragile and difficult times. In this episode of the Female Athlete Nutrition podcast, I talk with Sarah Cowart, academic coach for athletes. This is an incredibly timely episode with the Fall semester just beginning for most high schools and colleges. Sarah helps parents and student-athletes navigate the academic process to play sports in college, teaching them strategies for a successful transition. Sarah dives deep into the college recruiting process from the academic side, explaining the requirements student-athletes must meet in order to be eligible to compete in college athletics. She outlines the recruiting process timeline for high school athletes, the importance of maintaining a strong GPA in core classes, and fully understanding what classes the NCAA counts: check, a lot of classes don't! Sarah and I discuss the ways our personal experiences as collegiate athletes have shaped our futures, teaching us skills non-athletes miss out on, without underestimating the challenge. We talk about the importance, or lack thereof, of choosing your perfect major; Sarah's advice is to pick something you're truly interested in and worry less about future career implications. No matter your sport or current GPA, this episode will focus you in on the necessary steps to be prepared, achieve your dream of collegiate sports, and thrive as a student-athlete!  The NCAA eligibility website that Sarah mentions can be found here: https://web3.ncaa.org/ecwr3/  Check out Sarah's website https://sarahlcowart.com/  Follow Sarah on Instagram and Facebook @sarah.l.cowart and me, your host Lindsey Cortes, on Instagram @female.athlete.nutrition  If you find value in this podcast and would like to support the show, join our patreon community! At the end of July, the Presidential Guard of Niger, backed by the military, unseated the current president, Mohamed Bazoum, in a coup supported by the people. In response, the United States and France, with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), began planning a military intervention to return Bazoum to power. West African nations, including Mali, Burkina Faso and Guinea, quickly declared solidarity with the new government, a move that could turn a military intervention into a greater regional conflict. To understand what is happening in Niger and how it fits into the bigger picture of the rejection of neo-colonialism and US hegemony, Clearing the FOG speaks with Abayomi Azikiwe, the editor of the Pan-African News Wire. In this episode of The Modern Man, I welcome Sergio Nazzaro, a veteran, realtor, entrepreneur, and transformational coach who has quite a life story. Listen in as Sergio and I have a powerful and emotional conversation about how he completely changed the trajectory of his life after hitting rock bottom. We talk about facing the darkness inside of us, what he learned from having a heart attack at 34, and how he went from being broke and in debt to making his first million.   Sergio opens up about the mindset shift that changed his approach to life and why he believes it's possible for men to “have it all”. He reveals the reason why his wife and son aren't his #1 priority and how your bank account is a direct reflection of your body. Then, Sergio gets vulnerable about the season of doubt he's currently in and what's getting him through it.   “I just got to a spot where I was like, hey, do I want my life to look like this in 10 years? And the answer was a loud no. So, I knew I had to make some choices.” – Sergio Nazzaro   Are you proud of you? Do you believe that you can have it all?   Key Takeaways / What You'll Learn: [00:51] About Sergio Nazzaro. [03:26] When do decisions shift from “I have to” to “I want to”? [05:32] From Nothing to a Million: What led to his rock bottom and what changed the trajectory? [08:30] Don't run from the darkness inside of you, face it. [10:53] The Re-Creation: How he made his first $1 million in just 2 years. [13:33] Why it's possible to have it all & How to get it. [19:19] Sergio, who were you before your life trajectory changed? Who are you now? [27:57] Non-Negotiables: Balancing ambition and growth with your husband/father role. [31:51] Why are most people broke? How do my habits affect the trajectory of my life? [36:35] Skills and practices for boosting your income and quality of life. [39:30] Sergio's experienced a heart attack at 34. [41:44] The mindset shift changed his approach to life. [43:18] How to connect with Sergio. [43:56] As a man, what has shaped your view of the world?   “The decision to invest in their children, the decision that [parents] make to put time, love, and effort into them, will change the trajectory of their lives… The only true way for us to change this world we're in is to raise the children that can take it over.” – Sergio Nazzaro   If you enjoyed this episode, please SHARE it with a friend, then RATE/REVIEW The Modern Man on Apple Podcasts or Spotify!   Resources Mentioned: Join The Noble Knights: https://themodernman.gumroad.com/l/NobleKnights    Connect with Sergio Nazzaro: Follow him on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sergio.nazzaro  Visit his Linktree for more: https://linktr.ee/sergionazzaro    Connect with The Modern Man: Visit our website: https://themodernmanshow.com  Join our Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/244885633101820  Follow us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheModernMan8  Follow us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/the_modernman_show  Subscribe to our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnyA3-wtyv7xVqUbPyB0eOg

Do you see people living the kind of life you'd like for yourself, and think, “I could never do that”? The truth is that until you're able to change your mindset….you're right. As you go through life, you accumulate certain beliefs. Many of those “beliefs” are the very reasons you think you're a victim of your circumstances.  You already have everything you need to succeed. It's the walls you've built up around yourself and the beliefs that you hold on to that are keeping you stuck.   You've got to open your mind and begin to question why you put them there.  Today on The Bridge to FulfillmentⓇ, Blake explains why a lifetime of belief buildup could be holding you back. If you want to find your true purpose, you've got to “clear the windshield.” In this episode, you'll learn how to step back and start to really look at what you believe to be true in your life. You'll objectively question whether or not these things are true, and begin to “clear the windshield” of false beliefs that have been holding you back from reaching your potential. You'll learn to embrace the important stage of surrender, the true first step to experiencing the breakthrough you need in your life.    What You'll Learn: The only way to truly find your purpose (2:20) Why you're not a victim of your circumstances (3:16) What really precedes every breakthrough (4:10) The process of surrender (6:26)   Favorite Quotes: In order to achieve your highest purpose, you've got to start with the mind. You've got to start breaking down the walls of the things that you believe to be true. As a result of not being able to see clearly, we actually feel and think that we are victims of the circumstances in our lives It isn't the suffering that produces the growth or change or positive momentum in our lives. It's what precedes that breakthrough. Before that breakthrough is surrender.  It's never the circumstances that are keeping us from what we want. It's the barriers in our mind.   Additional Resources:  For programs and opportunities to work with Blake, go to www.BlakeSchofield.com
