"To Mama Dollar and to Papa Dollar, and if you want to keep this old Building and Loan in business, you better have a family real quick." Allow Ty and Ry to take you down the rabbit hole of Its a Wonderful Life in all of its glory. Its a very special christmas addition. George Bailey knows whats up, follow his example.
The FED!!!!! What is it? Where did it come from? And how does it affect all of us. Welcome to our Fed talk.

One of our favorite Christmas movies is Its a Wonderful Life, where George Bailey gets a chance to see what an alternate reality looks like without him in it. Spoiler alert, George does not want to live in that alternate reality, especially since his wife, for some inexplicable reason, didn't get married despite being very attractive and having many pursuers (seems like Sam Wainwright would have snatched her up in a heartbeat.....watch the movie if I've lost you.....and shame on you if you haven't seen it). Another Christmas favorite is the Family Man starring Nicholas Cage as Jack Campbell, a very successful business man. Same type of idea, Jack is given the opportunity to live in an alternate reality, but in this case he likes it and wants to stay. Much like George and Jack, alternative investments give all of us a glimpse of alternate worlds. However, too many stories of people venturing into these alternative investments end up like George Bailey, they want out and want back to the investments they had before. Listen in, as we discuss many of the alternative investments out there, how to vet those investments to protect yourself, and diversify and uncorrelate your investment portfolio. That way you can be like Jack Campbell not George Bailey.

Your estate......the one thing you avoid and the one thing your kids want you to get done. Whether you are old or young, rich or poor, there should always be a well thought out plan for when you pass away. You don't want the person building your coffin to find out you commissioned them to build it after your funeral when your will is read (watch the episode you will know what I mean). Or your kids will fight over who gets your best Smith and Wesson double barrel shotgun. Just get it done, watch the episode and learn the basics.

This will be the funnest episode you have ever listened to from us......because we have a prize to give away. I'm serious!! We are talking about ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds) and we have come up with a contest for the month of December, in which the winner, one of our listeners, will win a pair of Apple Pod Pros (or $200 if Apple products don't float your boat). It won't be hard to participate I promise. Its an investing contest with fake money, like Monopoly. You will be given a fake $1,000,000 and all you have to do is pick the best 5 investments for month of December and you win. Here is what you have to do, 1. Email us at support@myprosperteam.com and include the following 2. Your Name (see how easy this is) 3. Your picks for the 5 ETFs that you want have as your portfolio. Any 5 you want....WITH the corresponding percentages you want those 5 ETFs to be investing. (20% invested into one ETF would equal $200,000, makes sense....if not reread that sentence, or email us and we can help you) 4. We also want you to pick an investment name for yourself. Nothing crude, racist, homophobic, or just not nice. Make it fun. Like if you work in construction, your name could be Building Sector Investor. Got it? 5. Go to our Instagram page, tyandrypodcast, and like our post about the contest. We need all of this by November 30th because we will start the contest beginning morning bell December 1st and end closing bell December 31st. Ty and myself (Ryan) will also participate and whomever wins just between us, will get to shame, publicly, the other one on the podcast. Get rollin everyone and get us your info!!!!! May be best investor win!!!
Remember when a million dollars sounded like a lot of money, then a billion sounded absurd? What about a Trillion? Now when dollar amounts are thrown out, I don't think most of us even think about it. The Infrastructure bill was signed over the last week and guess the dollar amount....$1.5 bazillion, or something like that. Roads, bridges, railways, buses, broadband, bicycles, scooters, you name it. This bill has a lot. Listen in and lets discuss.

The best kind of friends are those that don't sympathize with you, but listen, understand, and help you solve problems. Cash is this way. If you need to pay your mortgage, buy groceries or pay for that life saving surgery, cash may be your only friend. I don't have one friend that would do that for me...maybe Ty would, but I doubt I would that for Ty (Ty is a better friend than Ry). Retiring is on everyone's mind, and guess what you need to retire...........................................CASH!!!!!!!! So listen up and make friends with some cash.

This is a short trip down the road of lending for investment. If you have ever wondered how this might work, or are seriously looking at a lending strategy for investment purposes, particularly in a real estate setting, this introduction is for you. Also, Ty is not there, so it will be shorter than normal. That's right I am flying solo this week. This is my Charles Lindbergh solo flight across the Atlantic, and yes, it is that dramatic.

I know all of you love to talk insurance. No?, its just Ty. Ok, well, whatever you level of interest is, you should listen in. What's the saying, at social gatherings don't talk about politics and religion. Maybe insurance should be added to the list. Nobody likes insurance until you need it. We will talk about the different types, the pros and cons, as well as what to look out for. Also, you will get to hear how about how Ty is insured and what his wife and family would get if he tragically passed away (I know life insurance is morbid, but you have to face reality people).

When I (Ryan) was a teenager, my dumb teenager mind could not comprehend what a stock was. It is something you own, but the stock market tells you what it is worth, and then you can sell it to someone else, you don't have a tangible thing that you can touch or see. But somehow it is worth money. My 17 year-old mind short circuited thinking about it. Now that I have less dumb mind, I feel like I can comprehend what a stock is. Ty, the guru of finance, and I will walk you through the life of a stock. How are they created? What stages do they go through? What the basics of understanding a stocks value? This, my friend, is a great beginning step to understanding the world of stocks. By no means is this all you will ever need to know, but think of this as Stocks 101.

We are in a new age of investing. Easy access to trading and information has transformed how anyone can invest. This new age is challenging the old guard in how they do things. See the analogy? Punk Rock challenged authority and had a gritty underground following. Classical music was buttoned up and proper. Punk is made up of renegades. This new age investor is younger and willing to risk more. They are willing to push back against the institutions that have controlled Wall Street for decades and decades. Listen, as we discuss what we can learn from this punk rock investing, what are the pitfalls, and what is still usable with Classical investing.
