In social media and in life, people are there to encourage and help you when mistakes are made while others are there to just point them out. You, or they themselves, may think they're trying to help. (Hence the title, supportive v sneaky). Have you noticed? Are you that type? Listen in, see what I mean and learn the diff.
Two things wrapped into one. say it with me, ‘life is happening for me, not to me'. Changing your way of thinking can change your way of life, in a positive way. You may have heard people say, “trust the timing of your life”…and maybe it made you roll your eyes. If you're anything like me, then yes, it did. Maybe there's something you want to happen now, a stage of life you wish you were in. Unfortunately, I think the quote is true, ya know, about trusting the timing of our lives. We gotta stop rushing. I mean, yes, make goals, chase them, go after what you want…but remember that the season you're in now, is where you're supposed to be.
Notice the company you keep. Are they serving you, elevating you and supporting you? If not, maybe it's time to switch it up!
Feeling burnt out? Feeling super energized? When was the last time you checked in on yourself? Take a moment, sit with yourself, and check in. Honor what your body and emotional self are telling you that you need.
Energy is currency. Where you put your energy and time is important. Why? Because you can never get it back.
It's hard to wait for things to happen sometimes. They say “patience is a virtue”. While this may be true, it doesn't always make it easy. But here are some tips on how to change your mindset to be more patient and actually be excited!
Self care can definitely be bubble baths, face masks, binge watching a show and going out with friends; but it is also important to go deeper. How do you go deeper with self care? Listen in and I'll explain!
While we may be influenced by friends, family, social media, etc., at the end of the day, your decisions are yours. It's your life. You go to bed with the choices you make. So when it's all said and done, you do you boo!
Maybe there's a goal or something you're wanting to do or accomplish…go do it! The time is going to pass either way. Might as well start now and make that progress!
