Check out the answers to these important questions I received following my interview with Dr. Mike Dow where we discussed Brain Fog: The Cause Of Your Anger, Depression, And Anxiety. I’m 53 and feel like by now I’ve probably done a lot of damage to my brain, by not eating right or doing the activities Dr. Dow talked about. If I correct my behavior, can I actually reverse some of the damage I’ve done? I’m feeling a little overwhelmed by all the recommendations of supplements, vitamins, and some medicine terms I’m honestly not too familiar with in this episode. I’m not sure where to start? What is the most important thing I can do to help with my feelings of brain fog? Will clearing my brain fog help me to discover what I'm really hungry for?

Dr. Kyrin talks about the a-ha moments... How do I recognize when I'm having an a-ha moment? What should I listen to, and what should I ignore? What if I don’t trust the “universe” to tell me “the way”? I feel like if I don’t direct and control my life, the things I want won’t happen.   Dr. Kyrin said that for many women, fat is a form of protection. I really want to explore this because I’ve recently gained ten pounds and I can’t seem to lose it despite all my efforts. How can I figure out what my body is trying to protect me from so I can get down to the root of the issue? I love Dr. Kyrin’s advice about acting and feeling as if I’m already at my goal so that I’m motivated by positive thoughts rather than held back by negativity. A long time ago, I did something regretful to deeply hurt someone I love. That person still refuses to forgive me, and therefore I cannot forgive myself. How do I love myself again? Cynthia, what do you think about the saying, "That's just life"? The saying “You’re the creator of your own reality” makes total sense, but as much as I try to live with purpose, self-love and kindness, the reality I experience is not the reality I want because of hurdles and adversities that are beyond my control. A lot of my shame around sex comes from thinking I'm not meeting my partner’s expectations. But the truth is, I have no idea what they are. We haven't ever really talked about it. Do you have any suggestions for how to start a good conversation around this on our own (vs. going to a 3rd-party therapist since I'm not sure we're there yet)? I’m all for being open about sex—rather than hiding it and treating it like it’s a shameful act. But still, even in social circles with friends, it’s sometimes considered wildly inappropriate to talk about your sex life or sexuality. People judge you. How do you know where to draw the line? Should a line even be drawn? Dr. Shannon shared that one exercise she encourages her clients to do is to look at themselves in the mirror, naked. I could see how that could be empowering for some, but for me it makes me feel way more insecure. Once and for all I’d like to stop thinking about my flaws during sex, but how?
