The scriptures chosen are encouraging and well-chosen, helping to focus the mind in the right direction before starting the day or even during moments when a pause and reset are needed. Verse Guide Ephesians 4: 31-32Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with malice. Be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. This is the position we shall remain during this time of conflict. We are claiming this heart. A heart open to kindness and a heart that rejects malice throughout whatever may arise.  Matthew 18:15-17“If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over. But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that every matter may be stablished by the testimony of two or three witnesses. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church, and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or tax collector.” Ephesians 4:15-16 “Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.” Romans 12:17-19“Repay no evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the lord.”James 5:16 “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.“Galatians 6:1”Brothers, If someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently.” PRAYER Father,In this time of overwhelm, we claim this spirit of gentleness. Help us to use this to confront what needs to be confronted in our own hearts, and give us the words to do the same for others. We claim Peace over this relationship, we seek to honor You above all. Guide us as we humble ourselves, as we seek to forgive or be forgiven, and go before our words. In Jesus nameAmen

Verse Guide Psalm 25:16-21 Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. Relieve the troubles of my heart and free me from my anguish. Look on my affliction and my distress and take away all my sins. See how numerous are my enemies and how fiercely they hate me! Guard my life and rescue me; do not let me be put to shame, for I take refuge in You. May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope, Lord, is in You.Jeremiah 15: 15-18 15 Lord, you understand;    remember me and care for me.    Avenge me on my persecutors. You are long-suffering—do not take me away;    think of how I suffer reproach for your sake.16 When your words came, I ate them;    they were my joy and my heart's delight, for I bear your name,    Lord God Almighty.17 I never sat in the company of revelers,    never made merry with them;I sat alone because your hand was on me    and you had filled me with indignation.18 Why is my pain unending    and my wound grievous and incurable? You are to me like a deceptive brook,    like a spring that fails.Mark 15:34And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?”- which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Isaiah 53:3“He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.” Ecclesiastes 4:12 Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly brokenEph 4 25-27Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.  In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me  Deuteronomy 31:6Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you  Psalm 27:10Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive meRomans 8:38-39For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord   1 Peter 5:7Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for youPsalm 68:5-6A Father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families, He leads out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land 1 John 3:1aSee what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!Hebrew 13:5keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” PRAYERGod, When we are overwhelmed by loneliness, restore these words of comfort to our hearts. Remind us to connect with You above all us. Restore relationships with other brothers and sisters of Christ in our lives that we may restore your Kingdom side by side. Bring non believers into our lives that we may live out the calling You have for us to “go into the world and share the good news of Jesus”. When people connect with us, may that connection show them that God loves them. May it restore connection in our hearts that we are loved and that we are known. Then the world will know that You sent us and You love them even as You love usAmen
