The theme for today's meditation is Living Our Identity: Lord, Make Me an Instrument of Your Peace, based on a prayer from St. Francis of Assisi. Today be challenged to listen and meditate on the prayer from St. Francis of Assisi as we read through it more than once. With the first reading, listen with your heart's ear for a phrase or word that stands out for you. With the second reading, reflecting on what touches you, saying it to yourself or writing in a journal. We invite you to listen again to this entire reading so that with the third time listening, consider responding with a prayer or expression of what you have experienced and ask God what this passage calls you to do or be. Meet Neil Hamovitch, the owner of a rising small business, Soundproof San Diego, a company dedicated to the art and science of soundproofing.Neil's journey into the world of soundproofing began with his passion for music at the age of 14, when he discovered the challenge of securing a practice space that wouldn't disrupt others. His college years introduced him to hourly rehearsal studios with soundproofed rooms, sparking his curiosity about sound isolation. In 2003 when he returned home from college, he was ignited to master sound reduction techniques when he became frustrated with trying to locate a suitable rehearsal studio for his new band. Over the next six years, he transformed a couple of rooms in a warehouse, conducting extensive research and experimentation, progressively improving the sound reduction capabilities of his rehearsal spaces. This expertise led to a turning point when a client asked him to build a drum studio in a garage. Collaborating with his father-in-law, a licensed contractor, they successfully created the home studio, realizing Neil's untapped skillset.Inspired by this experience, Neil obtained his contractor license, and in 2015, Soundproof San Diego was born. The company has undergone substantial growth since its inception, diversifying into various sound control areas. Their expertise now encompasses mitigating footstep noise between floors, treating shared walls, reducing traffic and airplane noise, enhancing windows and doors, and implementing reverberation acoustic solutions in a wide range of spaces. Soundproof San Diego has controlled sounds in various spaces including multi and single-family residences, offices, home studios, restaurants, gyms, and houses of worship. They have undertaken custom projects involving equipment enclosures and have assisted branches of the military and local government agencies in ensuring the privacy of confidential discussions.

Avoiding Crappy Neighbors: Tips for Finding a Peaceful NeighborhoodLiving with inconsiderate neighbors can turn your dream home into a daily headache. But fear not, future homeowners! By taking some proactive steps, you can significantly increase your chances of finding a peaceful and respectful neighborhood.Research is Key:The internet holds a wealth of information. Utilize online platforms like local community forums and social media groups to gain insights from current residents about specific neighborhoods. Additionally, city websites often provide valuable data on crime statistics and noise ordinances, offering a glimpse into the overall atmosphere.Become a Neighborhood Explorer:Don't underestimate the power of firsthand experience. Visit your shortlisted neighborhoods at different times, including evenings and weekends. This allows you to observe noise levels, activity patterns, and even chat with residents to get a sense of the community spirit.Proximity Matters:Living close to amenities like parks, libraries, and community centers can be a good indicator of a vibrant and engaged community often fostering a sense of neighborliness and respect.Consider Renting First:If you're unsure about a specific area, consider renting for a while before committing to buying. This trial period allows you to truly gauge the neighborhood's vibe and make an informed decision.Ask Informed Questions:When interacting with realtors or property managers, don't hesitate to ask questions about the neighborhood dynamics. Inquire about typical tenant turnover rates, ongoing construction projects, or any potential noise concerns.Invest in Your Peace of Mind:Choosing a good neighborhood isn't just about the house, it's about investing in your quality of life. Your Peace is with me, Father. I am safe. Your Peace surrounds me, Father. Where I go, Your Peace goes there with me. It sheds its light on everyone I meet. I bring it to the desolate and lonely and afraid. I give Your Peace to those who suffer pain, or grieve for loss, or think they are bereft of hope and happiness. Send them to me, my Father. Let me bring Your Peace with me. For I would save Your Son, as is Your Will, that I may come to recognize my Self. And so we go in peace. To all the world we give the message that we have received. And thus we come to hear the Voice for God, Who speaks to us as we relate His Word; Whose Love we recognize because we share the Word that He has given unto us.- Jesus Christ in A Course in Miracles, Lesson 245
These are indeed good days for book lovers because we are so blessed to have yet another Christian spiritual classic broken open for us Dr. Peter Kreeft! In "I Burned for Your Peace: Augustine's Confessions Unpacked", Dr. Kreeft gives us a guided tour through one of the finest works in all Western literature. In our conversation we discuss how St. Augustine, in many ways, is the everyman and why is life is so important for us today. Written in a personal dialogue with God, the saint's "Confessions" is more than an autobiography or a book of theology, it is, in the end, a living prayer. It is one man's compelling witness that is, as Dr. Kreeft will say, astonishingly contemporary. St. Augustine looks at himself so honestly, we can't help but see ourselves in the reflection. "I Burned for Your Peace" is the must have book to accompany you on this spiritual journey, especially if your heart is a restless one. So plan your pilgrimage now! Is pet insurance worth it?Hey fellow dog owner, I understand it's easy to be at a crossroads regarding pet insurance. Thousands of caring and protective pet owners have asked me that very question. I'm finally sharing what I tell dog owners who ask for pet insurance advice in this blog. With pet insurance marketed as a need and a must, should every pet owner get it? Read on for the answer. Key Takeaways Pet insurance is optional, but there are big factors that make it a must. Your budget plays a great role in making the decision whether or not you get pet insurance for your dogs. Large and pedigree dogs need pet insurance because they are more prone to emergencies and expensive general care costs. RAISE CALMER PUPPIES WITH DOGGY DAN'S PUPPY COACH™️ Table of Contents Pet Insurance Worth It or Not? Here's My Story Three Factors That Make Pet Insurance Worth It Two Factors That Make Pet Insurance Optional Should I Really Get Pet Insurance for Large and Pedigree Dogs? Is Pet Insurance Worth It? Ten Things to REALLY Consider Before Getting One Is Pet Insurance Worth It? The Answer Depends On What You Need Pet Insurance – Worth It or Not? Here's My Story I love my dogs and every dog that comes to us is family. Because I'm also a protective pet owner, I opted for pet insurance for $500 a year for two dogs. The insurance spanned ten years and cost roughly $5,000. Yet, after paying for the hefty dog insurance cost, I don't think I have been able to make a claim that made me feel like I have made the most out of the insurance. If anyone comes to me asking, “Should I get pet insurance for my dog?” I give this general answer: it really depends on so many factors. I won't immediately say, “Yes, get it!” because not all pet owners can shell out $250 a year for pet insurance. I won't also say, “No, don't bother!” because pet insurance benefits are also good. So many factors and considerations come into play in deciding if pet insurance is worth it, and I'm sharing them all with you in this blog. TRAIN DOGS THE BETTER WAY WITH DOGGY DAN'S DOG CALMING CODE™️ Three Factors That Make Pet Insurance Worth It How do you know if your pet needs pet insurance? Should you get one just because your vet tells you to do so? Other pet owners telling you it's a must? Because popular influencers are all about pet insurance? Getting pet insurance is a major decision that should be based on WHAT YOU REALLY NEED. To help you make the decision whether or not to get dog insurance, consider these three important factors. Factor #1: Your Financial Capacity for Emergencies You can never tell when your dog might need a $5,000 treatment or operation. If you can't afford to spend $5,000 just for a single emergency, consider getting pet insurance. Having pet insurance for emergencies allows you to give proper care for your pet whenever they need it. Factor #2: Your Peace of Mind Makes Pet Insurance Worth It You can purchase insurance policies that cover various types of medical treatments and procedures, including emergency care, surgery, and medication. If having a ready resource for emergencies give you assurance and peace of mind, pet insurance is worth it. By having pet insurance, you can feel secure knowing that they will not have to make difficult decisions about your pet's needs based on financial constraints. Pet insurance is worth it because it eliminates stress and worry of unexpected veterinary bills, which can be expensive and difficult to manage. Factor #3: The Breed and Size of Your Dogs It's hard not to feel the weight of the expenses when caring for a big or pedigreed dog. The costs can add up quickly leaving you feeling anxious and uncertain. But don't worry, you're not alone. Studies have shown that these dogs are more prone to health issues, making it even more important to prioritize their care. CALMER PUPPIES TURN INTO CALMER DOGS. START NOW WITH PUPPY COACH™️ I know it's tough to hear, but if you have a larger or pedigreed dog, chances are you'll be spending more than the average pet owner. That's why pet insurance is a no-brainer because for bigger dogs, pet insurance is worth it. It's like a safety net, protecting you and your furry companion from any unexpected health issues that may arise. Investing in pet insurance can bring a sense of comfort and relief because it gives you a cushion to fall back on in case of any tragic events. It's all about providing the best possible care for your beloved pet while reducing the financial burden and stress that comes with it. Two Factors That Make Pet Insurance Optional While pet insurance can provide financial protection and peace of mind for pet owners, it is ultimately a personal decision based on individual circumstances and preferences. It is not mandatory and pet owners can choose to self-insure or pay for veterinary expenses out of pocket. Here are three factors that can help you cross—without guilt!—pet insurance off your list of pet care must-haves. Factor #1: You Have the Budget If you have access to a substantial amount of money, such as $5,000, $10,000, or even $20,000 — and you don't mind spending it on pet care alone — you can choose to opt out of pet insurance. If you feel confident that you can cover the cost of unexpected veterinary bills by using savings or borrowing against their mortgage, pet insurance can be optional. RAISE DOGS THAT TRUST YOU WITH THE DOG CALMING CODE™️ Factor #2: Your Dog is Low-maintenance Low maintenance dogs, such as those who require minimal grooming or have few breed-specific health issues, may not require pet insurance. These dogs are generally less likely to develop chronic health problems, require frequent visits to the veterinarian, or need costly medical procedures. Now here's a little caveat from Doggy Dan: while pet insurance may not be necessary for low-maintenance dogs, having a financial plan in place for unexpected veterinary expenses is still essential to ensure that you are prepared for any eventuality. Should I Really Get Pet Insurance for Large and Pedigree Dogs? Large and pedigree dogs may be more prone to certain health conditions than other dogs, so getting pet insurance is an advantage. These breeds may be more likely to develop conditions such as hip dysplasia, cancer, and heart disease, which can require expensive medical treatment. In addition, larger dogs are also more susceptible to injuries, such as ligament tears, that may require surgical intervention. Given the potential costs associated with these health issues, pet insurance can provide valuable financial protection for large and pedigree dog owners. With the right coverage, pet insurance can help cover the cost of expensive medical treatments, surgeries, and medications. By investing in pet insurance, you can have peace of mind knowing that your dogs are prepared for any unexpected veterinary expenses that may arise. Is Pet Insurance Worth It? Ten Things to REALLY Consider Before Getting One #1: Coverage of Your Pet Insurance Consider what types of incidents and procedures are covered by the insurance policy, such as accidents, illnesses, and routine care. #2: Exclusions Be aware of any exclusions or limitations in the policy, such as pre-existing conditions or certain breeds that may not be covered. #3: Deductibles Determine the amount of deductible you are comfortable with, which is the amount you pay before the insurance kicks in. #4: Premiums Compare premiums from different insurance providers to find a policy that fits your budget. Luckily, you can find pet insurance policies with flexible premiums. CALMER DOGS FROM PUP TO POP WITH DOGGY DAN'S DOG TRAINING PROGRAMS #5: Reimbursement Rates Understand how reimbursement rates work and the percentage of the vet bill that will be covered by the policy so you'll know what to expect. #6: Waiting Periods Find out if there are any waiting periods before coverage begins, and how long they last. Knowing this allows you to plan ahead and make sure that you have coverage in place when you need it. #7: Maximum Payouts Be aware of any maximum payouts or caps on coverage that may be included in the policy. You'll want to make sure that the policy provides sufficient coverage for your pet's potential medical needs, as well as any conditions that your pet may be prone to based on their breed or age. It's also important to note that some pet insurance policies have a maximum payout per year, while others have a maximum payout per condition. Understanding the details of the policy and the maximum payout limits can help you make an informed decision about which policy is right for you and your pet. #8: Customer Service Research the quality of customer service provided by the insurance provide before getting pet insurance. Don't forget to read reviews from other pet owners. CLICK HERE: THE DOG TRAINING PROGRAMS TRUSTED BY THOUSANDS OF DOG OWNERS #9 Provider Network You can say that pet insurance is worth it is when you can use it for the services of the vet of your choice. Consider whether the insurance provider has a large network of veterinarians and specialists in your area. #10 Pet's Age and Health Take into account the age and health of your pet, as well as their breed and any previous health issues, to determine if pet insurance is worth it or necessary. This factor can also help you choose the best insurance coverage. Is Pet Insurance Worth It? The Answer Depends On What You Need “Should I buy pet insurance?” The answer to this question depends entirely on you. Pet insurance is optional, and not getting one doesn't mean you are a bad dog owner and you don't care enough for your pets. In the end, it all boils down to what you feel about these questions: Are pet insurance costs too much for you? Is getting pet insurance worth it for your peace of mind? Do you want to be able to give your dog the care that they need, when they need it? Is your budget enough to pay for emergency expenses out of your pocket? Is your dog prone to illnesses? Do they require more pet care expenses? Having pet insurance is good; there's no doubt about that. However, when it's currently out of your budget, or if you feel like the $250/year insurance cost is quite a reach, getting it for another time doesn't make you any less of a loving pet owner. I always believe pet owners have a strong gut instinct when it comes to raising dogs, so trust it. Is pet insurance worth it? The answer depends on you because you know what's best for you and your pet. May the best choice win! ~ Doggy Dan

As the prayer is read a final time, rest in silence before God. Daylight Meditations is a daily podcast from CFO North America. Learn how peace is a weapon that we use against the enemy. In this podcast we are going to talk about the four principles to build your life, faith, prayer, God's Word, Fruit of the Spirit. The Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, PEACE, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, and self-control. First of all I want to say that God is faithful! He wants to build you up and not tear you down. When you really get this in your heart it will change your life. This is the week of Thanksgiving and I want to share with you a word of encouragement over anxiety by showing you how peace and gratitude will conquer anxiety, fear, worry and depression. When you get a chance, read all of Galatians 5 in The Message Bible. It's so powerful! Jesus has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you. Don't let fear, worry and anxiety rule in your hearts! Instead, let peace rule in your hearts. Don't be misled or confused by the way the world is acting right now and the spirit of chaos that you feel all around you, instead FOCUS ON JESUS, YOUR PEACE. Let HIM rule in your heart. Philippians 4:5-9 says clearly to: 5 Let your gentle spirit be known to all people. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. 9 As for the things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. Facts about anxiety: When you are anxious, it creates stress in your body. If you lead a life of anxiety, it will create an over-arousal of the adrenal system that will release a prolonged excess of the stress hormones adrenaline and cortisol. Cortisol fights inflammation, increases blood sugar, increases muscle tension. The adrenaline activates heart muscles, raises blood pressure and increases heart rate. The fight, flight, or fright response causes increased wear and tear on the body when it is prolonged. So, then in effect, stress is at work, anxiety is at work and the Bible says so then death is at work in us. (2 Cor. 4:12) This will speed up the dying the process of relationships, dreams, hopes, expectations, positivity, love, peace, joy, kindness, and eventually, it will effect the body and it accelerates dying. Remember the words of JESUS: John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled; do not be afraid. Panic anxiety is the number one mental health problem for women in the United States. There is a CURE for anxiety……It is GOD'S PEACE. So, now we are going to practice the scripture and implement these 10 things that will conquer, fear, worry, and anxiety. Taking thoughts captive Relax Training Get adequate sleep Physical exercise Digital discipline Be strategic by choosing your battles Plan for periods of high demand and prepare your body accordingly. Plan times of recovery for your adrenaline system following high demand. This may include increased rest, hobbies, recreation, times with friends etc. Pray instead of worry, trust instead of fear, choose God's peace over the world's anxiety. Be thankful and grateful…..make a habit of thinking of all the things you are grateful for and speaking it out loud. Colossians 3:15 New American Standard Bible Let the peace of Christ, to which you were indeed called in one body, rule in your hearts; and be thankful. Finally, let your faith, your belief system be rooted in peace, the fruit of the Spirit!
Lord, make me an instrument of Your Peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; And where there is sadness, joy; O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek To be consoled as to console; To be understood as to understand; To be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive; It is in pardoning that we are pardoned; And it is in dying that we are born to eternal light St. Francis of Assisi --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/yogimarquis/support

Lady V's Devotional Episode Psalm 34:17-19 (NLT) says: The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. The righteous person faces many troubles, but the LORD comes to the rescue each time. Psalm 34:17-19 (NLT) Devotional I'm a mother. And ever since my daughter was a baby, I had my ears tuned to hear her cry. And, although she is an adult now, I'm still concerned about her well-being. So much so, I'll come running when she needs me! I want to know when something troubles her! I want to rescue her from any hurts or disappointments. I love her that much! No doubt, love makes you want to rescue the ones you love! So, when we read Psalm 34:17-19 (NLT), we are reminded of the Heavenly Father's love for us. The Heavenly Father tunes in to HIS children too. He's not a distant God. He is close enough to hear our cries! Yet, there are times when things are going bad, we forget that He hears us. We forget that we matter to God. But we must not forget that the Lord's love is infinite towards us. He has concerns about everything that troubles us. God is close! The Word of God says in Proverbs 18:24 (AMP), that He's a true, loving friend who is reliable and sticks closer than a brother. So, not only is He your Heavenly Father, He's also a reliable friend. He's closer than you think. Thus, He's the ONE you want to share your heart with. He's the ONE you call when you face trouble. He's the ONE that comes to your rescue. And, He's the ONE who deserves our total devotion. Beloved, don't go through troubles thinking that you are alone. When you feel like you're about to be swallowed up with trouble-- Remind yourself of Psalm 34. Then call out to the LORD. Ask for help! Then expect the LORD to come to your rescue. Let's pray... Heavenly Father, We come to you in the Name of Jesus with thanksgiving in our hearts. Father God, we thank YOU that we can always depend on YOU. You will not neglect us nor will you ignore our cries for help. We cast every care, every anxiety on YOU, because YOU care for us. Thank YOU that YOU are our helper and we do not have to fear. Thank YOU that we don't have to be anxious about anything. When we pray, YOU hear us and YOUR Peace guards our hearts and our minds in Christ Jesus. We can come boldly to the throne of grace and receive mercy and grace to help in the time of need. For this, we thank YOU LORD! We receive it done, and give YOU all the glory, in the Name of Jesus. Amen! Grace and Peace to you all! And remember that JESUS IS LORD!!! “Early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left [the house], and went out to a secluded place, and was praying there. Simon [Peter] and his companions searched [everywhere, looking anxiously] for Him, and they found Him and said, “Everybody is looking for You!” He replied, “Let us go on to the neighboring towns, so I may preach there also; that is why I came [from the Father].”Mark 1:35-38 AMPWhat an awesome example we have in Jesus! He taught us so many things through His earthly ministry, and one of them was the necessity of spending time with God! Here we see Jesus getting up early, drawing away from the distractions, and getting clarity for His next steps!Clarity comes through intimacy with Him!In fact, the Bible goes so far as to say this (Jesus speaking):“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”John 15:5 NKJVListen, without Him, we can do nothing, BUT the good news is this: “I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]”Philippians 4:13 AMPMaking it a habit to get up early and spend time with the Lord will teach us to put Him first! It will allow us to gain vital clarity for our day and direction for our life!I would say this also, seeking Him early, is not just about a time frame, but also a preventative and preparatory measure. In other words, seek Him before the storms of life come!My pastor says it all the time, “Put the Word of God in you when you don't need it, so it comes out when you do!”Be encouraged today! God wants you to know Him more and one of the best ways to do this is by spending our mornings with Jesus through His Word! There is no set-in-stone definitive way, but the principle is this: Put God First in your day! Clear away the distractions, allow His Word to wash over you, and learn to listen to His voice! You will be amazed at the things you learn sitting at the Master's feet! I want to end today, by sharing a love song I wrote to Jesus! What an honor it is to know Him more. :) “Found in Your Grace”by Joshua Scott Zeitz I'm seeking you early,I'm seeking your face, lost without mercy, Found in Your grace.Battered and broken, lost and afraid,is where I first saw Him,it's where I was changed.Knelt down in your presence,I lift up Your name, just a glimpse of Your glory, never the same.Dancing with Jesus,Swept off my feet,Caught up in His presence, sweet Intimacy.I'm Washed in Your Word Lord,Bathed in Your Peace, humbled and open,Into me see.Mold me and make me,I'm in Your hands,To You I relinquish, I yield to Your plans. You've never once failed me,You've never let go, I'm No longer broken,in You, I'm made whole.I'm No longer dirty,In You, I'm made clean,Intimate Jesus,Into me see.I'm seeking you early,I'm seeking your face, lost without mercy,Found in Your grace. In Christ, Joshua Scott ZeitzSupport the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/joshzeitz)
We at Find Your Daily Calm believe that there is not just one way to find your calm. There is no hard and fast rule to achieve it. There is no so-called magic pill to to take to find stillness and relief from the many stresses we all feel. We believe it the same way spiritual sages of old and present believe that the path to enlightenment is a pathless path or a gateless gate. Be it in meditation, in poetry and prose, and in the many prayers written by known and lesser-known religions, Calm may be achieved and find it where you may. Today you will hear 2 prayers entitled, Your Peace and a Prayer For Inner Peace, written by unknown authors from the Christian tradition. These prayers seek to find peace in the day to day living of what we all call LIFE. I hope you find solace, stillness, comfort, and calm in these simple spiritual supplications. Verse Guide Psalm 37:23-24 The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him, though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand Isaiah 43:16-19 He who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, who drew out the chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again. Extinguished, sniffed out like a wick. Forget the former things, do not dwell on the past. See I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Psalm 231 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.2 He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters.3 He restores my soul;He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake.4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil; for You are with me;Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Genesis 2:2-3 By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.Psalm 16:3 “Search me God, and know my heart. Test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way of the everlasting.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is Gods will for you in Christ Jesus.PRAYERFather, As we drift off to sleep, as we capture each thought: let us remember the goodness in each day. Thank you for allowing us to experience Your Word, bringing it to life through the Holy Spirit. I pray that whoever is listening right now would be filled with Your Peace in Jesus name, the Peace that passes all understanding. The Peace that points the unbeliever to You. Let us be a light for Your Kingdom. In Jesus name, Amen
