Remember that God is love and let that shape your actions regardless of the circumstances
Let the things that define as strength shape your view of the world.
Sometimes God uses his church’s obedient behavior to invite people to take a leap of faith as the way forward. Let our faith invite us in to receive God’s grace and send us out to be obedient.
The way it has always been isn't necessarily the way God wants it to always be.
When others disappoint, hurt, or take advantage of you, put your hope in the God who reveals wells in the desert. (Our apologies for recording this sideways - our newfound dependence upon technology creates new issues at times.)
The things that God calls us to do are not limited by our abilities to do them. Put your trust in God and let God do miraculous work in you and through you.
God continues to create a good creation by speaking and the movement of the Holy Spirit. Listen for the voice of God, get caught up in the breath, wind, Spirit of God, and allow yourself to be part of God’s continuing creation.

Of all the things God can provide us, life through Jesus is by far the greatest. During this season of things being stripped away, put your energy and commitment into the food that endures to eternal life.
God, through Jesus, deals with Sin. Either now in our lives, or later in the resurrection judgment. Use this season of Lent as a chance to commit to Holiness.
When we limit Jesus to being king of only spiritual things, we reduce our opportunity to share him with the world around us. Remember that Jesus as King of all things and share that Good News with those who need it.
If we don’t understand what it means to say that Jesus is the son of God, then we won’t really understand what it means that we are daughters and sons of God.
Jesus isn’t always to be found in the most obvious or easiest places, but rather requires deliberate effort. Choose to search after Jesus in knowledge, in grace, and in sanctification
Faith in Jesus is not a set of ideas that we agree with; it’s a participation in a story; it's seeing Jesus as a real person who invites us to join him on a journey; and on that journey, we learn to see who God is more clearly, we learn to trust and depend upon God more deeply, and, with the Holy Spirit, not only guiding us but shaping us, sanctifying us, as we Journey we become more and more like Jesus, more and more like the people God intended us to be from the very beginning of creation.
Our attitude and posture toward others will directly impact our ability to hear and see what God is doing in the lives of those around us.It is extremely difficult to see what God is doing in other people’s lives when we aren’t being Christ-like

You can see the connection in all things (both good and bad) when you look through a lens of faith. Have hope even in the darkness when you cannot see the light and learn how to trust that there is a greater purpose for you there. Learn how to use that purpose in our pain and find the meaning behind all things.
The vision that Isaiah shares is one that creates hope for those who believe and to those who are searching and dissatisfied with the current situation.
Our experiences with God in the past can give us strength for the moment and hope for the future. Not only can this be true for us, but we can learn to share this hope with our neighbors by helping them to experience God first-hand.
Becoming a Christian and a part of the church means that you have joined a family unlike any other and in which there will be no end
In our sermon scripture this week we heard a story in which Jesus preferred a sinner who was seeking God from a position of humility over a righteous rule keeper who thought it made him better than others. So we explore what this attitude from Jesus means for us as believers and ultimately as the Body of Christ.
Life is filled with difficult moments, but we can learn from Jacob that in those most challenging moments we should learn to grab a hold of God and the life God has for us all the more.
Life can be challenging and hard. Paul reminded his young friend in a letter that God can give even the most difficult situations in our lives a deeper purpose and significance; both for ourselves, but also in the lives of others.
You don’t become a disciple by acquiring the right information, you become a disciple by learning the ways of Jesus and living accordingly. So in order to become a disciple who makes disciples make sure that you are connected to others who teach you the faith and Make sure you are connected to others in which you are teaching the faith.
There is a connection between our trusting God, our being content, and our ability to love others. We should grow in our trust and faith in God by pursuing righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, gentleness.
If Jesus is our Lord, we should commit to using everything that God has made available to us in our efforts to serve His mission and purposes. So let us develop a missional imagination that allows you to make decisions based upon your being a steward of God's resources.

There are so many activities that we can do as Christians, but love for others is the foundation for everything that we do as the Body of Christ (The Church)
Our value and identity is not based upon the work we can do, nor should it be how we place value or identify others. Let's ask God to help you see people, not based upon what they do, but as God sees them.
There are many reasons for us to give and serve that focus on what we get. Jesus invites us to give for the sole purpose of giving. Make it a goal to give to someone or serve someone where you aren’t counting on getting anything back.
While it’s been said that the church is always just one generation away from extinction, It’s also just one generation away from renewal. So commit to pray for the children in our community and our church’s ministry to children. Then be open to hear from God how to get involved.
Experiencing a relationship with the Living God reveals that the idols we are tempted to put our hopes in will not lead us to the life we seek. We should pay attention to what people put their hope in then encourage and invite them to put their hope in God instead.
In order to see peace grow in our community and see new people come to know God’s salvation, we have to celebrate grace, not grieve it
