The Body of Christ (The Church) is made up of many different types of people. They all come from different perspectives and generally, all are at different maturity levels. Paul address those who are strong in their faith to have patience and understanding with the weaker believers. There are responsibilities from both groups. Please read this weekend Romans 15:1-13
After last weeks pre-recorded messages with guest minister Samuel Whitefield and Pastor Chris, we are back in the book of Ephesians. Pastor Dana camps out in chapter 4 of the book, where Paul lays out the riches (spiritually) which are gifted to those in Christ, showing us how by receiving these riches we should now "walk out" our faith, that by unity with both the Holy Spirit and the body of Christ (The Church), we can love others as God has loved us and bring the grace and mercy of God to the world.
Are we truly ONE church? The watching world notices when Christians who claim the same gospel can't get along. Paul reminds us in Ephesians 4:4-10 that there is ONE body, ONE Spirit, ONE hope, ONE Lord, ONE faith, ONE baptism, ONE God and Father of all.The greatest proof that the church IS needed isn't in our programs or buildings—it's in our UNITY. When Jesus conquered sin and death, He didn't create competing teams. He formed ONE victorious body, each member equipped with spiritual gifts to fulfill the Great Commission together. The question isn't which denomination is "right"—it's whether we're walking worthy of our calling. Are we functioning as one team under one Coach (the Holy Spirit) with one message of hope? This week, examine what takes God's place in your heart. Sunday monotheism but weekday polytheism won't fulfill the church's calling.
What does it truly mean to be part of the body of Christ in a world that often views the church with skepticism? This powerful exploration of Ephesians 4:4-10 confronts us with an uncomfortable reality: research shows that 80% of people reject Christianity because of the hypocrisy they see in religious people. Yet within this challenging truth lies a profound call to unity and purpose. We discover that the church isn't meant to be divided into competing factions, but rather one unified team working under the coaching of the Holy Spirit. The passage reveals seven transformative principles for how we fulfill our calling as the church: functioning as one team despite denominational differences, submitting to the Holy Spirit's guidance, proclaiming one message of hope through Christ, worshipping one God exclusively, utilizing our spiritual gifts, and helping others understand Scripture. The imagery of Christ as a victorious king who has conquered sin, death, and Satan reminds us that we're not just religious people gathering weekly, but part of a cosmic victory celebration. This message challenges us to examine our own lives: Are we truly monotheistic on Sunday but polytheistic throughout the week, allowing wealth, success, or relationships to become idols? The call is clear: authentic unity and genuine worship are essential if we're to effectively reach our world with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
A quiet shift begins when a lifelong member of the Churches of Christ realizes that his faith life, rich in study and careful exegesis, struggles to move from mind to heart. Brandon Marlow's story traces the Restoration Movement's ideals—erase denominational lines, do Bible things in Bible ways, and speak where Scripture speaks. Those guiding slogans shaped a culture suspicious of creeds, titles, instruments, and anything not “authorized.” The result formed disciplined habits, robust Bible study, and close-knit congregations. Yet the same strengths could narrow imagination and flatten mystery. A low view of the Holy Spirit's personal activity and an intellectual approach to faith left little language for awe, beauty, or sacrament. Brandon describes how good intentions produced a protective fence, but often fenced out wonder. His turning came when he stepped into preaching during a pastoral vacancy. Wanting holiness to match responsibility, he searched for time-tested disciplines: daily prayers, fasting rhythms, and a pattern of worship that stretches the soul. He found them in Orthodoxy. Prayer books spoke soberly about judgment and mercy, teaching him to remember ultimate things every day. Memorizing whole psalms, not just proof texts, reoriented his inner life. Icons startled him. Venerating the Ascension icon, his heart rose in praise, not just his mind in assent. He realized devotion is learned by doing—beauty tutors love, and ritual teaches reverence. Where logic said “believe,” the Church taught him to behold, adore, and belong.Scripture did not shrink; it deepened. Listening to Orthodox homilies, he felt less “interpretation” and more unveiling. Texts clicked into place as part of a living Tradition, the same bloodstream that nourished the Fathers he had once mined for citations. C.S. Lewis had cracked the door years earlier, proving that Christian wisdom could move the affections without verse labels in every line. Meeting the Fathers as pastors—Ignatius, Polycarp, and more—showed him a church that loved, bled, and prayed as one body. Their worlds made sense of bones cherished as gold, not as superstition, but as love made tangible in the saints who fed, blessed, and shepherded their flock. The Eucharist became the center of gravity. In his upbringing, communion was precious yet rushed, migrating from homemade bread to sealed cups as the table drifted to the side. Reverence thinned as routine took hold. In Orthodoxy, he discovered preparation before, prayer during, and gratitude after. The chalice, spoon, and altar were holy because the Lord gives himself there—Body and Blood, Presence not symbol. Approaching the chalice for the first time felt like approaching fire. He stepped forward in obedience and love, realizing this is why Christ died: communion. From there, everything else reframed—ascetic practices, feasts and fasts, the calendar that walks believers through the life of Christ, and the solidarity of Holy Week that exhausts, burns, and resurrects a community together. From “people of the book” to people of the Book and the Table, he discovered that truth is not only argued; it is adored, sung, tasted, and shared. The heart learns by worship as much as the mind learns by words, and both find their home when Scripture meets Sacrament in the life of the Church.Questions about Orthodoxy? The witness of Jesus as the Christ advances against all opposition. Intensity has been mounting against the messengers of the gospel message. Now an unexpected turn of events leads to an expected but tragic episode. Stephen introduces us to martyrdom—the ultimate price of bearing witness to the worth of Christ. The glory of Christ stands behind the end of Judaism. And to this Stephen bears witness. Here the shadows of the Old fade away by the light of the New Covenant. It is a pivotal scene in the formation and distinction of the early church. And all is powerfully demonstrated in the likeness and echo of Christ.
Nothing drives the heart of man like desire. What makes Christ's purposes in and through His church unstoppable? On the divine side, it is His sheer sovereignty. On the human side, it is the delight of knowing His surpassing worth. The mounting hostilities against the name of Christ draw Acts 5 to a powerful close with a profound witness to the surpassing worth of Christ.

Fr. Harry Linson Bigler and Fr. Anthony Perkins reflect on recent tragedies, including the anniversary of 9/11 and the assassination of Charlie Kirk, to explore how the Church prepares us for death. They discuss the difference between modern avoidance of death and the Church's ancient practices, showing how prayer, liturgy, and the lives of the saints form us to face mortality with peace and faith. Drawing on Scripture, the funeral services, and examples of martyrdom, they remind us that bodily death is not defeat but a passage into eternal life in Christ.

February 20 2025 Thursday Week 03 / Your Words Matter We Are The Body Of Christ ( The Church ) #findoutwhoyouare My Vision My vision is to teach the world Who They Are In Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior! To Teach them what the Bible says about them and who they have been made to be in the promises of God's Word. This changed my life years ago and completely transformed me from a person full of doubt, fear and unbelief to a strong confident Christian that knows I can do anything through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. And I'm determined to teach the world what God has taught and commissioned me to teach and that is His Word. That commission takes me to jails and detention centers weekly along with other open doors at many churches and ministries that are wanting to teach these important truths to the world. My podcast goes out 6 days a week to help the people I am ministering to grow in the truths that God has taught me for many years now. This podcast is free to all that want to listen and grow strong in who God has made them to be in Christ Jesus their Lord and Savior. My Prayers For The World Ephesians 1:15-23 NLT 'Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God's people everywhere, I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.' Ephesians 3:14-21 NLT 'When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.' His letter to the Galations is a vigorous attack against the gospel of works and a defense of the gospel of faith. Paul begins by setting forth his credentials as an apostle with a message from God: blessing comes from God on the basis of faith, not law. The law declares men guilty and imprisons them; faith sets men free to enjoy liberty in Christ. But liberty is not license. Freedom in Christ means freedom to produce the fruits of righteousness through a Spirit-led lifestyle. Podcast Title: That Thing You Do: Beyond YouDescription: In this episode, we dive deep into the heart of worship and explore its significance both personally and corporately within the body of Christ. Worship is more than just an individual act—it's a collective response to God, an expression of our unity as the Church, and a celebration of our journey with Him.We discuss how Christianity is not an individual sport but a family affair, where each of us plays a unique and necessary role. The Church is not just an organized religion but an organism—a living, breathing body of believers connected through Jesus Christ. Our primary purpose as the Church is to glorify God, and that begins with daily personal worship that overflows into our gatherings. We'll explore key scriptures like Psalm 34:3, Colossians 3:16, and 1 Peter 2:9, which remind us of the importance of coming to worship filled with an awareness of God's presence, ready to exalt His name together. Worship isn't something that starts when we walk into a church building; it begins in our hearts every day.Join us as we reflect on how our personal streams of worship can flow into one surging river, telling a greater story of who God is and what He has done. Let's consider how we can come worshiping to church, prepared to connect with God and inspire others to seek Him as never before.Key Topics:- The communal nature of worship- Our unique roles in the body of Christ- The Church as an organism, not just an organization- The importance of daily personal worship- Preparing our hearts for corporate worshipScripture References:- Psalm 34:3- Colossians 3:16- 1 Peter 2:9- Ephesians 1:12-14- Revelation 4:11Whether you've been a believer for years or are just beginning your faith journey, this episode will encourage you to deepen your worship and connect with God in a powerful, transformative way. Tune in and be inspired to glorify God with all your heart, mind, and soul.

In this segment from the Son Rise Morning Show on Sacred Heart Radio, Fr. Frank Donio, S.A.C. continues the series on the Eucharistic Revival and discusses how we are called to a life of community with Christ, his Church, and how we are to participate in the Mass as the Body of Christ with inspiration from John 15:4.The National Eucharistic Revival is a three-year initiative sponsored by the Bishops of the United States to inspire and prepare the People of God to be formed, healed, converted, united, and sent out to a hurting and hungry world through a renewed encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist – the source and summit of our Catholic faith. The Revival officially launched in June 2022, and its milestone event will be a National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis, IN, from July 17-21, 2024. The National Eucharistic Revival and National Eucharistic Congress are a direct response to the Holy Father's call for a “pastoral and missionary conversion which cannot leave things as they presently are” so that the Church in the United States might be “permanently in a state of mission” (Evangelii Gaudium, n. 25).This eucharistic movement seeks to bring together clergy, religious, laity, apostolates, movements, and parish and diocesan leaders to spur momentum, collaboration, and lasting impact for the renewal of the Catholic Church in the U.S. over the next three years. Each year will have a strategic focus for formation and missionary discipleship.Living as Missionary Disciples: A Resource for Evangelization serves as a road map for leaders and provides principles of evangelization and missionary discipleship, with resources designed for pastoral leaders to develop, enhance, and review their own local strategies to create an evangelizing parish. Ever felt like you don't belong? Maybe it's because you homeschool and everyone else sends their kid to public. Or you moved, and while everyone else has their people, you have to start fresh with all strangers. Or maybe it's in your job—you're a Christian and everyone else… let's just say doesn't show the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Whatever it may be, we've got to tackle this lie, because because God has gone to great lengths to give you a place of belonging. Think about all the different body parts that make up your body. Each individual part has a specific function, yet the parts work together to help your body function properly. The church functions like this. It is a beautiful picture of unity through diversity. In a church you'll find folks of different ages, different income ranges, and varied racial backgrounds that come together, working in harmony to fulfill the mission Christ gave to the church. 1 Corinthians 12:12-31
In an American wedding, the bride is the center of importance. However in Jewish culture during the time of Christ, the groom took center stage. Many times there was a betrothal period where the soon to be bride made a commitment to her future husband. After the betrothal period, the bride would wait till her groom came for her, then the wedding began. Today Pastor Rich will discuss what it looks like to be the bride of Christ. Ephesians 5:25-30
God builds His Church, and he chooses to use us in His mission. He's working all around us… we can jump in… or sit on the sidelines.

Terminology evokes images in the minds of people that affect people consciously and subconsciously in how they see themselves and in their approach to the entity they call God. Just as knowledge is power, words have power. The translation of words from one language to another can ascribe different meanings to the words translated into the new language. In this passage of Matthew, Peter receives revelation from YeHoVaH of who Yeshua is and the Disciples are informed of the master plan of Messiah. From the First Century until now, the Twenty-First Century, this passage in Matthew 16, and others like it, have conjured incorrect images of the actual words translated the Christ, the Church, and the Cross as revealed in the English translations of this passage. This has led to incorrect worship and lifestyles that differ from what the Messiah lived and taught.
Wolves in sheep clothing, and Bad seed have hijack Christianity and have polluted it. The current White Evangelical church and the current religious world system are the Pharisees and Sadducees of Jesus time. The Pharisees were a relatively closed society of like-minded people devoted to religious purity. They were not a politically powerful group in Palestine like the Sadducees. The Sadducees were a political elite heavily involved in political affairs, including collaborating with the Roman government. Sounds just like the White Evangelical church to me. Western Christianity belief system is not is not at all in line with the belief system of the men and women in their King James Bible. We are called The Body of Christ-The Church. Brother Timothy puts it this way. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 1 But know this: Difficult times will come in the last days. 2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, without love for what is good, 4 traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to the form of godliness but denying its power. Avoid these people!Colossians 1:18 He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.1 Corinthians Chapter 1212 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.14 For the body is not one member, but many.15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.19 And if they were all one member, where were the body?20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/622a9079e8fb640012cb94f3.
