God wants to sanctify His people everyday. It is not easy to allow the Holy Spirit to lead you in all areas of your life because your flesh wants to do the opposite of what the spirit wants. Great people are constantly getting better everyday because they know that's what it takes to be who God wants them to be. They are not afraid to be different or set apart for God's use and purpose! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Episode #7 today, and it's a different one. We had a repeat guest lined up for today but we had conflicting schedules so I'm here all by my lonesome today. I did a recap of the last 6 episodes we've done so far in this Holiness series, and also added some material in as well, some even about Disney. What? This holiness series is almost done, but this is a holiness podcast so we'll never be done with the overall topic of holiness. We hope you enjoy this episode today, and if you like me alone today and didn't think it was too bad, let me know at our podcast email. I may have to do that more often to keep up with new episode every week. Sometimes it's difficult to always have guests lined up. Next week is a bonus episode to this series with something new we've not really done, and then a 2 part interview with a 1st time guest but long time friend as we continue back to our normal format. That podcast email is twopeas21@yahoo.com Don't forget to check out this other podcasts we mention in today's episode. They have further discussion about Santification, Gender Distinction, Holiness and many more topics in their episodes as well. In this week's episode of Encounter, we revisit the account of the lamed man at the pool of Bethesda. Through this account, we discuss the ways that we seek out ways to avoid or skip the desert of sanctification. How are we taking the "easy way out" on the path to knowing and becoming more like Jesus? We pray that this episode and the Scriptures speak to you and foster healthy convictions toward Christ. Santification Process Freedom in ChristIn this episode I will be talking about the process of santification. What it takes to walk the walk we call Christianity.
In this episode of "Beyond the Vow", Nick and Janelle discuss topics that both directly affect personal relationships and the church. Santification, character flaws, and judgemental behavior are just a few of the topics discussed.

I regularly publish brief "Quotes", which are short phrases that hopefully elicit thoughtful reflection. Recently, I posted a Quick Quote that read, “SADLY, MANY SKIP SALVATION “LOVE GOD” AND JUMP RIGHT TO A FALSE SANCTIFICATION “LOVE THY NEIGHBOR”. ConclusionMany in this country, regardless of their religious affiliation, care for the downtrodden. We are a nation of good Samaritans, though sadly, I think we have lost some of that neighborly love out of fear of violence and retribution, just for trying to do good. However, the point of this post, and the Scriptures in general, is that to be saved, to spend eternity in Heaven with God, one cannot just be a “good person”. The Lord wants us to be more than that. He first wants our love, allegiance, and a personal relationship with Him. There is nothing wrong, and everything right, with “loving thy neighbor”. However, if we miss “loving God” first and foremost, we miss out on the rest of what God has to offer His children.
Our life as believers in this earth is no easy thing. God never promised it would be. The challenge we have before us is this - how do we grow spiritually? Is being a believer in Jesus the ceiling or the floor? In this episode we will discuss how being a believer is actually the beginning of our walk with Jesus. To experience the power of God in it's fullest and to walk in His love and grace requires us to take up our cross and follow Him. Let's talk about it in this series.

The heart is at the center of everything; it's the most important vital organ in our body, second only to the brain. It pumps our blood, which the word says gives us life, and if anything goes wrong with it, the rest of our body will be significantly affected. I guess that's why the Lord says above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. It's funny how the things in the physical often mirror the spiritual, and in this episode, we discuss the condition of the heart, how it comes to be, and where it leads. Sanctification isn't just about setting boundaries or safeguards around sin. It isn't just about not drinking, cursing, or yelling. You can't just dress modestly, and avoid watching Rated R movies or listening to mainstream music. It's not enough to just show up to service and Sunday school once a week or join a small group. Sanctification is not simply controlling your behavior so you look holy, it is about God changing your heart so that you become holy. And the truth is: Sanctification is inconvenient. Sanctification is painful. Sanctification SUCKS. Quiz: Which woman of the Bible describes your faith best? And these 5 questions and find out! It's getting chilly in the Northeast so we head down to the Sunshine State, order a freshly-squeezed orange juice, and sit out in the sun with Michael Allen, professor of systematic theology at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando to talk about his New Study in Dogmatics volume entitled Sanctification. The crew has many questions for him, and I bet they're not the only ones. What is holiness, and what does it really mean to become holy? Should moral living be addressed upfront in evangelism? Is there a connection between sanctification and assurance? Michael kindly answers these and more, by connecting sanctification to other fundamental doctrines of Scripture. We have a several copies of "Sanctification" by Michael Allen that we are giving away courtesy of Zondervan.
