Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, so worship Him (Alone) and be constant and patient in His worship. Do you know of any who is similar to Him? (of course none is similar or co-equal or comparable to Him, and He has none as partner with Him). [There is nothing like Him and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer]. Quran 019:65

Narrated by Abu Hurairah: from Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2646, Book 41, Hadith 2 : The Virtue Of Seeking Knowledge [that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever takes a path upon which to obtain knowledge, Allah makes the path to Paradise easy for him."] As a rule of thumb, any hadith which contradicts the Qur'an should be considered null and void. Only the Qur'an is the absolute authentic text which has remained intact throughout. Al Qur'an is the word of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى and Hadiths are just for our reference. May we receive mercy from Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala and also receive guidance to gather sufficient supplies so that we are safe and comfortable in Mahsyar facing Allah SWT being entered into heaven by Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala without reckoning and also punishment. Surah mentioned : - Surah Al Baqarah 2, verse 251 : (The Cow) [ So they routed them by Allah's leave and Daud (David) killed Jalut (Goliath), and Allah gave him (Daud) the kingdom (after the death of Talut and Samuel) and Al~Hikmah (prophethood), and taught him of that which He willed. ] - Surah Al Isra 17, verse 55 : (The Night Journey) [ …and to David We gave the Psalms. ] - Surah Saba 34, verse 10 - 11 : (Sheba) [ “And indeed We bestowed grace upon Daud from Us saying, ‘O' you mountains, Glorify Allah with him.' And you birds also. And We made the iron soft for him saying, ‘Make perfect coats of mail, and balance well the rings of chain armour, and work righteousness, truly I am All-Seer of what you do.”' ] Hadith mentioned : - Sahih al-Bukhari 5048 : Book 66, Hadith 72 Chapter: To recite the Qur'an in a charming voice Narrated by Abu Musa : That the Prophet Muhammad Sallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam said to him, "O Abu Musa! You have been given one of the mazamir (sweet melodious voices) of the family of Daud.'

Surah 4 An Nisa Verses 57-58. The believers are rewarded with pure spouses in paradise with eternal provision and shade. Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى commands mankind to render back trusts that are due. Not doing so causes a grievous sin and punishment that will even nullify the reward of martyrdom. "......Truly, Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى is Ever All - Hearer, All - Seer." (4:58)

Indeed we will depart from this dunya. We will depart and will be accountable before Allaah subhaanahu wa ta'aala. In this khutbah Ustaadh gives a severe admonition as to what we will earn according to the degrees of our actions, our deeds and our speech. We will only receive from the bounty of Allaah subhaanahu wa ta'aala according to these deeds and actions. So we must hasten in this dunya to acquire good deeds, and perfecting those deeds. Allaah subhaanahu wa ta'aala says regarding those that are obedient to Him: "They are in varying grades with Allaah, and Allaah is All-Seer of what they do." - Surah Ali 'Imran [3:163] - Al-Qur'aan

Saturday 31 Mar 2018 Authentic Adhkar from the Qur'an and Sunnah Lesson 11: The names of Allah are Husnaa (Pinnacle of perfection), and what are the 4 forms of Ilhad (Distortion)? The names of Allah are described as "husnaa", i.e. at the pinnacle of perfection We have been commanded in the quran to make mention of his names and a severe weartning has been made aha-inst those who make Ilhaad (distortion, deviation, rejection) and that indeed Allah will hold them to account with a severe reckoning Allah says: “And (all) the Most Beautiful Names belong to Allah, so call on Him by them, and leave the company of those who believe or deny (or utter impious speech against) His Names. They will be recompensed for what they used to do.” [Surah Al-Ar’raaf (The Heights) verse 180] Therefore it is important for EVERY muslim to make time to study the beautiful names of Allah and that he/she understands these names and attributes correctly Allah says: “Verily, those who turn away from Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc. by attacking, distorting and denying them), are not hidden from Us. Is he who is cast into the Fire better or he who comes secure on the Day of Resurrection? Do what you will. Verily! He is All-Seer of what you do (this is a severe threat to the disbelievers).” [Surah Fussilat (They are Explained in Detail) verse 40] All of the names of Allah are husnaa, Allah due to his perfection, might, majesty and greatness is not names except with the most perfect and beautiful of names. Likewise Allah does not have any attribute except that it is perfect The praise of Allah is only made upon the most perfect and best of praise Nothing can take the place or replace the names of Allah Allah mentions his names as being husnaa in four places in the Qur’an Al-A’raaf (The Heights) verse 180 Al-Israa (The Journey by Night) verse 110 Daa-Haa (Ta-Ha) verse 08 Al-Hashr (The Gathering) verse 24 Each of the names of Allah has an attribute of perfection associated with it Each of the attributes of Allah has an attribute of perfection associated with it similarly All of Allah’s names and attributes indicate absolute perfection, not a single one of them has any element of deficiency associated with it. Every name of Allah carries a distinct attribute of perfection and meaning which is unique from all the others, no two names of his are the same. What are some examples? Therefore, when one looks at the names and attributes of Allah, they all indicate Allah Ibn Qayyim said all the names of Allah are praise, had they been merely names with no meaning, then this would not have indicated any praise or perfection. Rather all the names carry attributes which are upon the pinnacle of perfection When one considers all the above, it becomes clear that learning the names and attributes of Allah is something one MUST learn and put into practice. For example, when Allah says “And (all) the Most Beautiful Names belong to Allah, so call on Him by them”, then this can only be actualised by understanding them in the first place so that one knows what he or she is saying when calling upon Allah with his names. Sahih al-Bukhari – The Book of Tawheed – Lesson 48 (24/03/18) Today we covered: • The 7 places in the Qu’ran where the Istowah is mentioned o Soorah Al-A’raf ayah 54: Indeed your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in Six Days, and then He rose over (Istawa) the Throne (really in a manner that suits His Majesty). He brings the night as a cover over the day, seeking it rapidly, and (He created) the sun, the moon, the stars subjected to His Command. Surely, His is the Creation and Commandment. Blessed is Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinn and all that exists)! o Soorah Yunus ayah 3: Surely, your Lord is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days and then rose over (Istawa ) the Throne (really in a manner that suits His Majesty), disposing the affair of all things. No intercessor (can plead with Him) except after His Leave. That is Allah, your Lord; so worship Him (Alone). Then, will you not remember? o Soorah Ar-Ra’d ayah 2: Allah is He Who raised the heavens without any pillars that you can see. Then, He rose above (Istawa) the Throne (really in a manner that suits His Majesty). He has subjected the sun and the moon (to continue going round), each running (its course) for a term appointed. He manages and regulates all affairs; He explains the Ayat (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) in detail, that you may believe with certainty in the meeting with your Lord. o Soorah Ta Ha ayah 5: The Most Gracious (Allah) rose over (Istawa) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). o Soorah Al-Furqan ayah 59: Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six Days. Then He (Istawa ) rose over the Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). The Most Gracious (Allah)! Ask Him (O Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم , concerning His Qualities: His rising over His Throne, His creations, etc.), as He is Al-Khabir (The All-Knower of everything i.e. Allah). o Soorah As-Sajdah ayah 4: Allah it is He Who has created the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them in six Days. Then He rose over (Istawa ) the Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). You (mankind) have none, besides Him, as a Wali (protector or helper) or an intercessor. Will you not then remember (or receive admonition)? o Soorah Al-Hadid ayah 4: He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days and then rose over (Istawa) the Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). He knows what goes into the earth and what comes forth from it, and what descends from the heaven and what ascends thereto. And He is with you (by His Knowledge) wheresoever you may be. وَإِن طَلَّقۡتُمُوهُنَّ مِن قَبۡلِ أَن تَمَسُّوهُنَّ وَقَدۡ فَرَضۡتُمۡ لَهُنَّ فَرِیضَةࣰ فَنِصۡفُ مَا فَرَضۡتُمۡ إِلَّاۤ أَن یَعۡفُونَ أَوۡ یَعۡفُوَا۟ ٱلَّذِی بِیَدِهِۦ عُقۡدَةُ ٱلنِّكَاحِۚ وَأَن تَعۡفُوۤا۟ أَقۡرَبُ لِلتَّقۡوَىٰۚ وَلَا تَنسَوُا۟ ٱلۡفَضۡلَ بَیۡنَكُمۡۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ بَصِیرٌ And if you divorce them before you have touched (had a sexual relation with) them, and you have appointed unto them the Mahr (bridal money given by the husbands to his wife at the time of marriage), then pay half of that (Mahr), unless they (the women) agree to forego it, or he (the husband), in whose hands is the marriage tie, agrees to forego and give her full appointed Mahr. And to forego and give (her the full Mahr) is nearer to At-Taqwa (piety, right-eousness, etc.). And do not forget liberality between yourselves. No person shall have a burden laid on him greater than he can bear. No mother shall be treated unfairly on account of her child, nor father on account of his child. And on the (father's) heir is incumbent the like of that (which was incumbent on the father). If they both decide on weaning, by mutual consent, and after due consultation, there is no sin on them. And if you decide on a foster suckling-mother for your children, there is no sin on you, provided you pay (the mother) what you agreed (to give her) on reasonable basis. And if you decide on a foster suckling-mother for your children, there is no sin on you, provided you pay (the mother) what you agreed (to give her) on reasonable basis. ۞ وَٱلۡوَ ٰ⁠لِدَ ٰ⁠تُ یُرۡضِعۡنَ أَوۡلَـٰدَهُنَّ حَوۡلَیۡنِ كَامِلَیۡنِۖ لِمَنۡ أَرَادَ أَن یُتِمَّ ٱلرَّضَاعَةَۚ وَعَلَى ٱلۡمَوۡلُودِ لَهُۥ رِزۡقُهُنَّ وَكِسۡوَتُهُنَّ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِۚ لَا تُكَلَّفُ نَفۡسٌ إِلَّا وُسۡعَهَاۚ لَا تُضَاۤرَّ وَ ٰ⁠لِدَةُۢ بِوَلَدِهَا وَلَا مَوۡلُودࣱ لَّهُۥ بِوَلَدِهِۦۚ وَعَلَى ٱلۡوَارِثِ مِثۡلُ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَۗ فَإِنۡ أَرَادَا فِصَالًا عَن تَرَاضࣲ مِّنۡهُمَا وَتَشَاوُرࣲ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَیۡهِمَاۗ وَإِنۡ أَرَدتُّمۡ أَن تَسۡتَرۡضِعُوۤا۟ أَوۡلَـٰدَكُمۡ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَیۡكُمۡ إِذَا سَلَّمۡتُم مَّاۤ ءَاتَیۡتُم بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِۗ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱعۡلَمُوۤا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ بَصِیرࣱ The mothers shall give suck to their children for two whole years, (that is) for those (parents) who desire to complete the term of suckling, but the father of the child shall bear the cost of the mother's food and clothing on a reasonable basis. No person shall have a burden laid on him greater than he can bear. No mother shall be treated unfairly on account of her child, nor father on account of his child. And on the (father's) heir is incumbent the like of that (which was incumbent on the father). If they both decide on weaning, by mutual consent, and after due consultation, there is no sin on them. And if you decide on a foster suckling-mother for your children, there is no sin on you, provided you pay (the mother) what you agreed (to give her) on reasonable basis.
