Isn't it amazing how gracious, generous, and welcoming God is to us - all we need to do is ask for His help and He comes to our rescue! His Throne is a Throne of Grace, not a throne of performance, and He responds to our pleas for wisdom, mercy, and forgiveness with such care. Since we are treated in this way by the God of the Universe, we can in turn treat others with the same care we have received. Prepare for this week's message by reading Matthew 7:7-12 with Hebrews 4:14-16
To settle a dispute among yourselves is honorable; and, friend, it is attainable. The presence of Jesus in your heart, the Spirit alive within you, and God on His Throne will help you. May we purpose—each and every day, every moment—to recall these three truths. May we etch them in our minds, write them on our mirrors, post them on our screens. Jesus is here. The Spirit is here. God is here. See it. Feel it. Walk in it. Speak in it. Respond in it. Be the evidence of it. Not because you are faking and trying to but because He is, and you are His. Proceed in His presence day by day, moment by moment, victory by victory, strength by strength; and then breathe. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

In this portion of the Sermon on the Mount Jesus deepens our understanding of the law against adultery. He contrasts what has been heard against what is the truth and the application of that truth. Jesus is drawing us back to the intent of the law instead of allowing it to be used as easy permission for sin. Make no mistake, Jesus' words are hard to hear and for many of us reveal sin we would rather more easily justify or explain.Remember, the purpose of the law is to show we are all guilty so that we remove any possibility of basing our relationship with God on our own righteousness or allowing our own failure to have the final say. Because of Jesus we need not shrink back from hard truths that reveal our sin, but instead draw near to His Throne of Grace, where we will always find Mercy and Grace to help us.Prepare for this weeks message by reading Matthew 5-7 giving special focus to 5:27-32
November 16, 2024Today's Reading: Introit for Pentecost 26 - Ps. 48:11-14; antiphon: Mark 13:13bDaily Lectionary: Jeremiah 31:1-17, 23-34; Revelation 16:1-21; Matthew 27:1-10Let Mount Zion be glad! Let the daughters of Judah rejoice because of your judgments! Walk about Zion, go around her, number her towers, consider well her ramparts, go through her citadels, that you may tell the next generation that this is God, our God forever and ever. He will guide us forever. (Psalm 48:11-14)In the Name + of Jesus. Amen. Zion is the city of David. It's the city of promise. The Lord promised David that his throne would not end. The promise goes not just to David but to all Israelites, for from David's lineage will come forth the Messiah, the Savior. In this way, the Canaanite woman, pleading to Jesus to help her daughter, rightly addresses Jesus as Son of David: “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is severely oppressed by a demon” (Matthew 15:22).Psalm 48 gives us to rejoice, “Let Mount Zion be glad, let the daughters of Judah rejoice … consider her ramparts, go through her citadels … tell the next generation that this is God, our God, forever and ever.”The promise to Zion is “forever and ever.” We don't reduce the Zion promise to a political action of establishing a powerful government in Jerusalem. The promise is that Mt. Zion will be the everlasting throne of David's greater Son, and He will be the everlasting King of Mercy for every sinner. The promise of a “forever and ever” Zion is the promise, then, of the cross. At the cross, Jesus establishes His Throne of Grace for all those who, like the Canaanite woman, turn to the Son of David for mercy. Jesus is the Son of David. Those who belong to His cross are His “city of Zion,” the city of the Living God. When Jesus called you into his Church, He gathered you into the assembly of all those who belong to Him. That is the promise of Zion brought to you and me and our families. But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels in festal gathering, and to the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new [testament], and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:22-24).In the Name + of Jesus. Amen.Dear Jesus, Son of David, bless your holy Church on Earth. Let us be glad in the Gifts of your Church and rejoice in your judgments of salvation by which you justify us. According to your promise, keep us in the assembly of your people gathered to your Name to receive your blood of the new testament for the forgiveness of sins. Amen.-Rev. The book of Revelation unveils the full deity and sovereignty of our Lord God almighty in vivid detail. A right understanding of this apocalypse, prophecy and pastoral letter had the power in the first century to encourage and undergird the young church to persevere through intense persecution while simultaneously enlivening complacent and apathetic believers to join in the mission. Revelation still possesses the same authority and strength today. The Lord is on the throne and in full control even when it seems evil is winning. The book of Revelation emphatically reassures us believers that things are not as they appear. Please join us and be encourage through this study of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. ———————— This week, Pastor Jeff continues a series in the book of Revelation. The next message in the series comes from Revelation 4 and is entitled "God on His Throne." The main idea of the sermon is: The Lord God Almighty, who sits on his throne, prompts his creation to continually declare his holiness and worth. ———————— Connect with Us: Website: parkwoodonline.org Facebook: facebook.com/parkwoodonline Instagram: instagram.com/parkwoodonline.org Check out more resources and sermons online at: parkwoodresources.org

Reigning with Jesus TS Wright Can there be any doubt that we are living in, what the Bible describes as, “The Last Days?” What is especially concerning to me is how the entire world is coming against Israel right now – when all they are doing is reacting to an unprovoked, barbaric attack on innocent civilians. The United Nations is even trying to impose their authority over Israel's sovereignty! Just over the last day or so, the UN has “demanded Israel stop all attacks on Rafa and withdraw from the area.” Three nations came out and “demanded” a “two state solution” – in effect, telling Israel to “surrender” to Hamas. In addition, there is the radical leftists in Congress who also want Israel to surrender and give land to the terrorists… In case you haven't read your Bible, this is the exact scenario depicted in the Book of the Revelation that will take place in the End Times. If there was ever any doubt that we are living in the last of the last days – what we see happening right now should prove it! Amen! Scott Wright is the author of the “God Centered Concept Journal” and has a unique insight into prophecy and the end times. Help me welcome back to the program, Scott Wright! Scott, it's great to have you back on with us today! If there was ever a doubt that we are drawing closer and closer to the soon return of Jesus, I just don't think any rational person could doubt it any longer… do you? As we are recording this today, the jury will receive the case to deliberate in the third world trial of Donald Trump. There are hundreds of tornadoes that swept across the United States these last few days, killing and destroying, in some cases, entire towns in their wake. We have inflation running rampant; crime in the streets; emptying of prisons, what is right is called wrong – what the Bible says is wrong is called right…I could go on and on… Bottom line – really, truly, in my opinion, the ONLY thing we can look forward to IS the “Return of Jesus” at this point… what do you think? With that being said, we do have a promise given to believers by Jesus Himself… in Revelation 3:21, we read, “To him that overcomes, I will grant to sit WITH ME on MY THRONE, even as I overcame and have sit down with my Father on His Throne.” Share how all of this relates together and what we will be able to look forward to in the very near future (according to this verse)… How does all of this relate to what we opened with – the “End Times?” Abraham Lincoln once said, “All the armies of Europe and Asia...could not by force take a drink from the Ohio River…No, if destruction be our lot we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of free men, we will live forever or die by suicide.”I think the rope is already around the neck of this nation and we are teetering on the edge of the chair – right now. You've heard me say before, it really does not matter WHO wins this next election…in my opinion, and this is just my thoughts on the matter – if Biden wins, the USA will become a third world nation… if Trump wins, I believe World War 3 is on the horizon… and one EMP, well placed, will throw the United States back into the 1700's lifestyle in just one day… and we will be forever cast off. I truly believe that is the reason the United States is not mentioned as an end time player in the Bible… Again, just my opinion… but there it is…BUT – it's not ALL doom and gloom… why? Because WE have a promise… that promise is Eternal Life. It may not be “happy days are here again” – but it will be “Happy Days” when we get to...

Lesson 43: [THE OBLIGATION OF BELIEF IN ALLAH'S RISING OVER HIS THRONE, HIS BEING ABOVE HIS CREATION AND WITH HIS CREATION, AND THERE IS NO CONDRADICTION BETWEEN THEM] Included in what we have mentioned of having Imaan in Allah, is believing in what Allah has mentioned in His Book, and has been reported via multiple transmissions from His Messenger, and has been unanimously agreed upon by the Salaf of this nation, that He, Glorious is He, is above His heavens, over His Throne, separate from His creation, and that He, Glorious is He, is with them wherever they be, knowing whatever they do, just as He combines between that in His saying: ‘It is He who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then He rose over the Throne. He knows what goes into the earth and what comes out of it, and what comes down from heaven and what goes up into it. He is with you wherever you are and Allah sees what you do.' [al-Hadid: 4] His saying: ‘He is with you' does not mean that He is comingled with the creation for the language does not necessarily imply this. It also contradicts the consensus of the Salaf of the Ummah and the innate disposition upon which the creation are fashioned. The moon is one of Allah's Signs and is one of the smallest of His creations; it is placed in the heaven, yet it is at the same time, with both the traveler and the resident wherever they are. Psalm 2 is a Messianic Psalm of importance, much quoted in the NT, a cosmic Drama describing the present spiritual warfare in the Church Age, especially as it comes to its climax. Along with Ps 1, it's part of the Entrance Hall into the Book of Psalms. Ps 1 reveals the contrast between the righteous & wicked on an individual level, Ps 2 reveals it on a global scale, showing the spiritual conflict between those in God's Kingdom and those in satan's kingdom. Thus they are foundational. In this video, we introduce Ps 2 and see how it fits with our times. It's a Psalm of David (Acts 4:25-26) pointing Messiah's victory & rule over the earth, fulfilling the Davidic Covenant (2Sam7, 1Chr 17). It's parallel to Ps 110, for both speak of Christ as having ascended, having accomplished the work of His 1st Coming & received all authority to rule earth, and both also look forward to His 2nd Coming, when He'll enforce His authority, judge His enemies and establish His Kingdom on earth. Thus they describe the present spiritual war on earth between His 2 Comings. They are prophetic of the spiritual war in the Church Age, with relevance to us, giving a theological perspective for interpreting world events. In Scene 1 the focus is on the unsaved masses of humanity living under darkness & deception, striving with God's Spirit, lovingly yearning for their souls. Speaking thru David, He asks from a heart of love: "Why do they restlessly war against each other, and imagine (meditate) a vain (worthless, empty) thing?” (v1). Why reject God who loves them so much? Why think they can save themselves without God? These souls are the battleground, over which both sides are fighting. In the end each must chose between God & satan. Scene 2 answers the question as we see the forces trying to control them - rebellious angelic & human rulers of earth: “The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together against the LORD and against His ANOINTED (Messiah-King)” (v2). This describes purposeful rebellion against God. This describes the battle-lines of the 2 opposing powers. On one side, the Lord & His Anointed One (Christ & all those in Christ), God's anointed weapon in this war (we are in Ps 2), and on the other side all those fighting for the enemy, both demonic & human. This war is over (1) the inheritance of precious souls, and (2) possession of the nations & their land (v1,8). The enemy's desire & message is revealed in v3. They want to throw off God's laws & authority but can't escape His rule & jurisdiction. In Scene 3, the focus moves up higher to God on His Throne and His Anointed One (2:4). What's His reaction to the enemy? He laughs at all their plots & striving. He's in Heaven, far above, seeing all. He has all authority, knows the final outcome and never worries. Heaven is always full of joy. As we live on the battleground, it's vital for us to keep this vision of God before us - that we are on the victory side and He will defeat all His enemies. We can laugh with God that the enemy is defeated and rejoice in His victory. The next step in this drama is that God gets serious. Righteous anger rises up in Him against His rebellious enemies (v5), and He announces He's already made His decisive move, guaranteeing His victory and the certainty of final judgment on His enemies: “Yet have I installed My King on my holy Hill of Zion” (v6) - fulfilled in His 1st Coming. God sent forth His anointed weapon, Jesus, who destroyed the power of the enemy in His life, death & resurrection. He rose victorious, ascended far above all powers and is seated at God's right hand, signifying His completed work (Ps 110:1). So, God's answer to satan is He has already set His King on His Throne in Heaven, in the holy Hill of Mt Zion. The battle is already won and satan defeated. Jesus paid the price to redeem every soul (His inheritance), and purchased the earth (His possession), so He now possess the earth's title-deed (Rev 5), and has the right to rule all nations. He is already God's appointed King, over both sinners & saints - ruling sinners by external power and His saints internally by His grace. At His 2nd Coming, He'll manifest His authority & victory, returning in power to take possession of all the earth and rule over all nations from His earthly throne of David on the holy hill of Zion. In our spiritual war, we must follow God's example in 2:6, and point to Christ's finished work, declaring He has accomplished our salvation, defeated all evil powers, and has risen victorious and ascended on High, far above all principalities, and is Lord over all. Thus we confess Jesus has defeated the evil one, and is enthroned on high, with all enemies underfoot, so now we also have the victory, for we're in Christ and have risen with Him and sit with Him far above (Eph 2:6), so now we operate from a position of victory (Rom 8:37). We're not trying to get the victory, for He is our victory, and we're enforcing His victory on the earth.

Our preschool grandson at the time? I think he overheard the weather forecast before his bedtime. It went something like this, "Chance of rain, maybe a few snow flurries." I guess that's all he needed to hear, because he began to pray fervently that night, "Jesus, please make it snow tomorrow." I know he's not the first child to pray that. Now, flurries are barely snow, but apparently the mention of them is enough for fuel for hope, and for faith...especially faith. And when he went to bed that night, his mom and dad...they prayed too. They said, "Dear Jesus, would you please answer a little boy's prayer?" Well, the next morning, this great scene: the little guy is standing in his jammies, in front of the big window in the living room, staring out at a day that was not white. It was just plain old gray. And then suddenly, there they were. The first flurries. Well actually, flakes. He started running around the living room shouting, "Thank You, Jesus! Thank You, Jesus! You made it snow!" And it kept snowing, by the way, appreciably more than the weatherman had forecast. Not only did Jesus answer a little boy's prayer, but a little boy showed us what faith looks like, asking God for what only He can do, then expecting Him to do it. Actually, standing at the window, watching for the answer to come. I'm Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A Word With You today about "Faith That Expects." Now, our word for today from the Word of God is Psalm 5:3. It's a verse we've had up in our prayer chapel. David says, "O Lord, You hear my voice...I lay my requests before You..." But wait, that's not the end of it. Here comes the faith part: "and wait in expectation." You know, I regularly "lay my request before" Him. But how often do I "go to the window," looking out for that answer; expecting Him to answer? You know, you can come to Jesus and you can talk to Him about something, but you can walk away and you're still carrying it. You haven't left it with Him. You haven't trusted it to Him. I've done that way too many times. See, faith works this way. It walks into the Throne Room of Almighty God, who we know now created and controls, like, two trillion galaxies. That's your Heavenly Father. But you walk into that Throne Room and you're all bent over. You're carrying the heavy burden that you've been carrying, but faith walks out standing tall. The burden isn't there any more. You know why? You left it at His Throne. Now, if I'm all bent over when I walk out of the Throne Room; if I'm still carrying that heavy backpack after I've prayed about it, then I talked to Him about it but I didn't trust Him with it. And that's where faith comes in. You know, Jesus made this incredible promise. He said, "If you ask anything in prayer, believe that you have received it..." Now, that's past tense. You haven't got it yet, but "believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Sure, the "snow" doesn't always come, and it doesn't always come on my schedule. But I have got a Father who loves me and Who only says no if He's working on something that's for my good and better than what I have asked for. I remember reading in Tim Keller's book on prayer where he said that "God does answer every prayer but He gives us what we would have prayed for if we knew what God knows." I wonder how many times the answer didn't come because I didn't really believe Him for it? After all, the Bible says, "Without faith, it is impossible to please Him" (Hebrews 11:6). I know who I want to be. I want to be the little boy at the window.
In this verse by verse study in the twelfth chapter of John, we learn that the prophet ISAIAH saw CHRIST sitting upon HIS THRONE in HEAVEN and you can read ISAIAH 6:1-5 and JOHN 12:41 for the PROOF of that. Folks there will be NO excuses for anyone on Judgment day BECAUSE the SCRIPTURES are so readily available for people to understand these things. WHO CARES what anybody else thinks? Make sure that YOU are RIGHT with GOD before YOU die!
Matthew 19:28 Truly I say to you, that you who have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on His glorious throne, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. But what does 'in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on His glorious throne' mean? Are these events that are still to come, or has it all already happened? Listen as Pastor Matt explains the title 'Son of Man', His Throne, and the implications those concepts carry concerning the timing of these promises.

Please join the leading Rabbis in Israel TODAY, Wednesday, 10/25/23 live at 1:25pm (NY/NJ/FL time) at Kever Rachel for a powerful and unified Tefilah as we come together to pray for Israel during this challenging time. Click here to join: https://gocast.co.il/central- live/ Our Avot and Imahot were from the greatest people who ever lived. They brought so much satisfaction to Hashem and were so loved by Him. Yet, their lives were filled with difficulties. They had to wait years and years to have children. They had to cry buckets of tears and pray thousands of tefilot until they finally got their yeshuot . Esav and Yishmael, on the other hand, had children right away with no difficulty. They were able to marry right away also with no difficulty. One might ask, does that seem fair? The answer is, if this world was only about this world, that would be a good question, but there is so much more than meets the eye. We have so much to achieve in this world of toil in order to live on forever in the real world of eternity. One of the greatest ways to elevate ourselves is through heartfelt tefila and, usually, when a person has a very pressing need, that brings out the most heartfelt tefilot . We are in this world on a mission. We need to get as close to Hashem as possible and when we find ourselves in need of salvation, it usually brings out the spiritual part of ourselves the most. And then, after all the heartfelt tefilot , if we see that glorious salvation from Hashem, it brings us to such a state of closeness to Him. We feel overwhelming gratitude knowing that it was Him who helped us. The Bet Yisrael from Ger once said about a young man who got married right away, then had a baby boy right away, his parnasa was completely taken care of, his shalom bayit was perfect, the Rabbi said, “How is he going to recognize Hashem in his life?” Now it is true, there are people who know how to cry tears of gratitude to Hashem for the blessings He has bestowed upon them, however, it is obvious that those who first didn't have and had to spend countless hours of heartfelt tefila and only after received their needs, their tears of gratitude are much more heartfelt, and their journey has brought them much closer to Hashem. So, although we all prefer to have everything we want right away and we may feel that Hashem is angry at us when we don't get what we want, that is not the case at all. Hashem withholds things for our own benefit. He loves to hear us pray for our own good. We can't imagine how great we become from each prayer. This is what life is all about, forging a bond with HaKadosh Baruch Hu . People who have been waiting so many years to get married, or so many years to have children, or so many years for whatever other need that they have, they should know, they are part of a very elite group which includes the great Avot and Imahot . Sarah had to pray for decades to have a child. There is no such thing as saying, “I tried prayer already, it didn't work, so I'm going to stop.” There is so much more to life than just getting what we want as quickly as possible. Our greatness is determined by the way we act before the salvation comes. Hashem told us that, kavayachol , He has needs as well. His Throne is not complete. He needs us to do our jobs, ישראל מפרנסים את אביהם שבשמים . So just like we have a yearning for Hashem to take care of our needs, kavayachol , He also has a yearning for us to take care of His. When we go to pray and beg for what we need, we should also beg for the geula and the Mashiach and for Hashem's Name to be glorified once again. Then, kavayachol , we are doing for Him as well. When a person is lacking in life, it is not a punishment, it is a blessing in disguise, but only on condition that he answers the call and uses that need as a catalyst to get closer to Hashem.

True is Your Command, and True is Your Court. True is the Command of Your Will, True is Your Order. True is Your Mercy, True is Your Insignia. Hundreds of thousands and millions call You True. In the True Lord is all power, in the True Lord is all might. True is Your Praise, True is Your Adoration. True is Your almighty creative power, True King. O Nanak, true are those who meditate on the True One. || 1 || FIRST MEHL: Great is His greatness, as great as His Name. Great is His greatness, as True is His justice. Great is His greatness, as permanent as His Throne. Great is His greatness, as He knows our utterances. Great is His greatness, as He understands all our affections. Great is His greatness, as He gives without being asked. Great is His greatness, as He Himself is all-in-all. O Nanak, His actions cannot be described. Whatever He has done, or will do, is all by His Own Will. || 2 || SECOND MEHL: This world is the room of the True Lord; within it is the dwelling of the True Lord. By His Command, some are merged into Him, and some, by His Command, are destroyed. Some, by the Pleasure of His Will, are lifted up out of Maya, while others are made to dwell within it. No one can say who will be rescued. O Nanak, he alone is known as Gurmukh, unto whom the Lord reveals Himself. || 3 || PAUREE: O Nanak, having created the souls, the Lord installed the Righteous Judge of Dharma to read and record their accounts. There, only the Truth is judged true; the sinners are picked out and separated. The false find no place there, and they go to hell with their faces blackened. Those who are imbued with Your Name win, while the cheaters lose. The Lord installed the Righteous Judge of Dharma to read and record the accounts. || 2 || --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/gsjhampur/message
It is no secret that our modern culture not only places God on the periphery, but actively opposes His Word and rule. The ways of God are ridiculed and rejected. Dr. John turns us to Psalm 2 to demonstrate that this is not new. God is not surprised or shook. His Throne is eternally stable, and His people can be calm and confident. To the King: What binds these two Psalms together is their expression of praise for the King who is unstoppable in power. In this 5-message series, join Dr. John Neufeld as he examines Psalm 2 and Psalm 147. The theme of these 2 Psalms is simple: God reigns over all. Let's express our love and our devotion to our King!
The Shulchan Aruch writes in the laws of Rosh Hashanah that on this great day we are supposed to eat and drink and be happy. However we should not eat to complete satiation so that we don't come to a light headed state of mind, but rather, keep the fear of Hashem upon us. The Mishnah Berura writes that although Rosh Hashanah is a day of judgment, there is still a mitzvah to be happy on the holiday. The sefer Vaveh HaAmudim asked, seemingly these two emotions, fear and happiness, are contradictory. How can we be expected to have both at the same time? The Rabbi explained with a mashal. Imagine, in Yerushalayim we discovered a hidden tzaddik who is a master of every facet of Torah. Very quickly, all of Klal Yisrael begins looking to him for guidance. But not only is he a gadol b'Torah and righteous in all of his deeds, he also has ruach hakodesh and can see on a person's face every deed that he ever did, both good and bad. Not only that, he also has a special power of beracha. Whenever he gives a person a blessing, it always comes true. Every day, hundreds of people get on line to try to get one minute with this great tzaddik. For sure, if a person knows he is about to go in, he will make teshuva for all of his sins, not wanting the rabbi to see what he did. He will also come prepared with his words carefully, not wanting to waste time with unimportant things. And when he actually walks in to where the Gadol is, on one hand he is going to be afraid, knowing whose presence he is in, but at the same time he is going to be so happy, knowing that the answer to all of his problems is just one blessing away. All year long, Hashem is our loving Father and on Rosh Hashanah we begin calling Him Avinu Malkenu, Our Father and Our King. On Rosh Hashanah, Hashem sits on His Throne of Judgment and analyzes and scrutinizes every single deed that we did. When we stand before Him, everything about us is revealed. But Hashem also sits on His Throne of Mercy and wants to give us the happiest, most blessed year. So on one hand, we are afraid of whose presence we are going to be standing in, but at the same time we are so happy that the judge is also our loving Father who could help us with every problem we have. Today, before our deeds are scrutinized, we still have a chance to repent so that we could enter the King's chambers looking beautiful. On one hand, Rosh Hashanah is a very serious day, but at the same time it is such a happy day because we are so excited to be together with Hashem. Chazal tell us, during the entire Aseret Yameh Teshuva, beginning with Rosh Hashanah, Hashem is closer to us than He is during the rest of the year. It's as if He is personally coming into our homes to be with us. Let us prepare properly to greet the Melech and b'ezrat Hashem He will bless everyone with kol tuv v'tov. Amen. Tizku l'shanim rabot and Shabbat Shalom.
In one sense we can say that God imposes upon us an obligation to turn to Him with our whole being and receive His Mercy. He also imposes upon us the obligation to spread His Mercy to others. But we must understand that this is no ordinary “obligation.” It's an obligation of love. This means that the “imposition” of this obligation is no imposition at all. It is something that God gives us complete freedom to choose or reject. There are no strings attached, no forms of force; rather, we are left in complete freedom to choose or not to choose to accept and bestow the Mercy of God. This freedom is essential to our lives and is essential to the gift of God's Mercy. Only by giving us this freedom can we fully cooperate with this gift because Mercy must be freely given and freely received. If it is not, then it is not Mercy. Be grateful for the freedom the Lord has given you and use it to make a glorious choice (See Diary #1115).Reflect, today, upon these two gifts God has given you. First, reflect upon the gift of freedom. In having free will, you are able to make your own choices in life. As a result, you also either reap the blessings of the choices you make, or suffer the consequences. Reflect, also, upon the fact that you are invited by God to accept and distribute His abundant gift of Mercy. By freely choosing this gift, you invite the God of the Universe to descend from His Throne of Grace and embrace you with an embrace of pure love, enabling you to offer that embrace to others.Lord, I give You my life and freely choose to receive all the Mercy of Your most Sacred Heart. Help me to be open to all that You wish to bestow, and help me to be open to bestow all that You wish to offer others. I thank You, Lord, for these glorious gifts of freedom and Mercy and I choose Your Mercy with all my heart. Jesus, I trust in You. MARTYRS' PROMISES God promises three incredible things to the multitude of saints that are dressed in white and standing in front of His Throne. Remember, the multitude represents those martyred for their testimony about God. They will be joined by those in the tribulation who will be killed because of their testimony about Jesus as the Son of God and Messiah. This multitude pleads with God to avenge their deaths. God says He will avenge them when their number is completed by those who are yet to die for their faith. In Revelation 7:15-17, God makes three promises to these believers. 1. God promises them a special place. 2. God promises them complete protection. 3. God promises them eternal peace. We wrap up our discussion on the tribulation saints with God expressing His promises to those who gave the ultimate measure of devotion. Tune in today for news and more on the End Times. PRAY. On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we are taking you back to the original creation, before Adam, and showing you how God created Lucifer and gave him dominion over all the earth. For a time, Lucifer was a good caretaker of what God had set him over, right up until he began to lust after the power that God had. When that happened, he was lifted up in pride, the first sin, and swore to God that he would take His Throne, and claim dominion over, not just the earth, but over everything. It's all right there in your King James Bible, and tonight on this episode of ‘Rightly Dividing', we dive back into the Genesis 1 Gap and come up with some amazing nuggets of Bible truth you won't hear in too many other places. We have discussed the Gap Theory many times before, and have come to the conclusion that it is no theory at all, but a factual representation of what happened. Like anything else in the living Bible, the more you look at it, the more you find. I have been spending some time in the Genesis 1 Gap, and what did I find? I found that Lucifer, wearing something that looks very much like the garments of the High Priest from the Temple, was the first king that God ever set over the original Garden of End in the original earth. Crazy, right? Stay with me now.
Pastor Shawn Owens continues his series on the Attributes of God. In this Episode, Pastor Owens preaches on the Sovereignty Of God. “God rules and reigns over the entire universe. He cannot be opposed. He is Lord of Heaven and Earth. He is enthroned, and His Throne is a symbol of His sovereignty. God's Will Is Supreme.”
Daniel Adkinson - 'The Cross was His Throne' - Good Friday, 2023
I've got this card in my wallet that has bailed me out on several occasions. It has the simple word "Treasurer" on it. No, it has nothing to do with any offices that I hold; it's my bank card. Okay, so I go to the money machine at my bank, the ATM. You can just stick your card in it and you get the money you need, provided there are some resources in your account to cover it. I guess the faster paced our lives get the more we need these quick fixes. I mean, we need instant access to the resources we need. I'm Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A Word With You today about "How to Access All You Need." Our word for today from the Word of God comes from Hebrews 4, and I'm going to read a verse that might be familiar to you in verse 16. "Let us, then, approach the Throne of Grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." There you go. You just heard about God's treasury account, and this is His instant access plan. You come to His Throne with confidence it says; that's the invitation. Now, the word confidence, if you look it up in the original Greek that the New Testament was written in, literally means "outspokenness" or "plainness of speech." And it's often used to describe seriousness in the presence of someone of high rank. So the first invitation, the way that you access God's grace for your particular need - the card you stick in - is to come to the Throne of Grace talking straight, reverently but honestly. So when you come to pray, don't come with all your religious rhetoric. You come with straight talk just like you really are. You go to the treasury machine in our neighborhood and you don't pretend you're rolling in money. I go there and I know I'm broke. Well, I'm honest about that. It's my broke that brought me to the machine; that's why I'm there. This giving isn't automatic. You do have to go to the machine. You do have to approach the Throne of Grace with confidence. And you come, talking plainly and honestly about your need, about your sin, about your feelings, your doubts, you're honest. When you do that, you find grace. The word found there means to discover or come upon. Surprise! I didn't expect to find this much grace! When you come and honestly unload your need on the Lord at His Throne of Grace He gives surprising grace. You say, "I didn't know there was grace available like this before." And it says when that happens it will help us in our time of need. And in our time of need, that phrase in the Greek language, was one word meaning "well timed." God's grace will come to you in a personal, customized way at just the right time. The word "help" there is used only one other time in the Bible, in Acts 27, when they had to pull ropes underneath a ship to keep it from coming apart during a storm. And the word rope is that word help. It's what holds you together during your storm - God's grace. So let's put it all together. God invites you to come confidently, talking straight. And we come to His Throne so that we can find surprising grace to hold us together during our storm. Wow! Now, I wonder if you have ever experienced the grace of God for yourself. You know it begins - your first approach to the Throne of God - when you come to Him with the sin of a lifetime and say, "Jesus' death on the cross is my only hope of having my sins erased." You don't come to God because you deserve it, because of what you've got in your moral bank. You come bankrupt and He says, "I will pour out My grace." It is amazing grace! If you have never experienced that, I hope you will today. Say, today, "God, I want today...I want my record to be clean. I want to go to heaven. I want to be with You forever." If I can help you begin that relationship with Him, then would you go to our website at ANewStory.com. I hope you will. See, at the Throne of Grace, you'll find powerful grace. But you've got to go for the grace this moment requires. And you'll find there a bottomless account supplied by the resources of Almighty God. You don't ever have to be emotionally or spiritually broke again.
The pasuk says at the end of parashat B'shelach that Hashem is at war with Amalek מדור דור – in every generation. And Chazal tell us that this war will last until Mashiach . When Hashem performed the great miracles at Yetziat Mitzrayim , He wanted the world to know that He did not just create it, but is actively involved in everything that goes on in it. All the nations of the world got the message except for Amalek who attacked the Jewish People and succeeded in casting doubt on the fact that Hashem runs the world. Hashem said that His Throne will not be complete until the memory of Amalek is eradicated. One of the ways in which we could fight this battle is by recognizing the extent of how much Hashem is involved in the world and in our lives. The pasuk says in parashat Terumah והקימות את המשכן כמשפטו– there was a command to erect the Mishkan according to what is just. The Yerushalmi asks the question, is there justice by planks of wood? And the Gemara there answers, yes because each plank was placed in a certain spot and that would be its permanent spot. Later Rabbis explained, being in the South represented wisdom and Torah, while being in the North represented wealth. Even the inanimate planks of wood were governed by a special plan of Hashem of where each one needed to be for its purpose in the world. As the generations progressed, our understanding of the extent of Hashem's hashgacha has become greater and greater. The Baal Shem Tov taught us that Hashem is involved in the exact location that every single leaf which comes off every tree falls to. Every granule of sand on every beach is placed in its location b'hashgacha pratit . And if this is how it is with inanimate objects, imagine how far Hashem's hashgacha extends in our lives. Rabbi Menashe Reizman gave a few examples to help us understand better the extent of it. When a person goes over to a tissue box and takes a tissue to blow his nose, and then 20 minutes later, someone else takes the next tissue, it was because it was determined in Shamayim that the first tissue, which had a certain spark of kedusha that was compatible with the first person's shoresh neshama specifically needed to be taken by him. And the same applied for the next person. When someone goes to the grocery store and has a selection of 50 bottles of milk to choose from, Hashem guides the person to pick the one that specifically his family needs to drink. We know an animal gets elevated when it gets slaughtered properly and is eaten with the right beracha and used to nourish a person performing Torah and mitzvot. When a person goes to the butcher and selects a package of meat, it is all done b'hashgacha depending on which piece of meat is fit for him and his family, depending on the tikkunim that need to be made in it. Some people like spicy foods, some sour, some sweet. Every person's taste buds were given to him b'hashgacha , according to what he needs to eat in his lifetime. Hashem is infinite. It doesn't take any more effort on His part to keep track of all of these fine details. And when we recognize how much Hashem is involved, even in these seemingly insignificant parts of life, it'll help us if we ever begin to question the bigger things. Why did that person get the job and not me? Why did that person get the house and not me? How much more so are our jobs and homes determined by Hashem, based on each person's purpose in the world. Every single individual has a unique mission and one person's mission has nothing to do with the other's. It is only Hashem guiding each person to what he needs to fulfill his purpose. We must strengthen our belief in Hashem's hashgacha and eradicate all of the ill effects of what Amalek was trying to accomplish. We are now in the days that are auspicious for geula and Chazal tell us it will be in the merit of emunah which brings about our ultimate redemption. May Hashem help us believe in His involvement in every aspect of life.

God Shows the Apostle John (and Us) A Glimpse of Heaven and His Throne The reading (not included within this audio) and the Gospel have a theme of showing us what is going to happen in the future. In the reading, the Apostle John is told by the Voice, come and I will show you what is going to happen (from the Book of Revelation). This passage is often mis-understood to be a mere prediction on how history will unfold. Far from it! There is nothing about the unfolding of history on earth that is included within the reading. We are told . . . let Me show you what is going to happen. The Lord Shows What Will Happen We are given a look into what will happen. Furthermore, we must be careful when we read about this vision. Our language and our mind can only comprehend so much. This vision actually goes beyond what we can comprehend. Words cannot describe it completely. The human mind anticipates the future with signs of the end of the world, and all that entails. That is NOT what the Apostle John is shown. He is shown God on His throne and heavenly bodies praising Him. They are happy. There are four creatures who can see everything . . . interior and exterior of all they look at. Wow! What an odd image. These creatures can see everything! Yet they also continually, meaning without stopping, they sing the praises of the One on the throne. In seeing everything, they also see God. The see everything in light of their position before the throne. Hear more about the significance of these creatures within the Homily. Then we hear about the additional thrones surrounding THE Throne of God. Hear more about the elders on their thrones within the Homily. The Four Creatures Surrounding Christ's Throne The Homily then discusses, briefly, Christ the King on His Throne showing 4 creatures around the Lord's throne. Listen to understand this symbolism. Understand what it means to us and how it should influence our own spiritual life. Hear what God shows the Apostle John. Understand what the Lord is now telling us. Let Him show you how things will be! Listen to this Meditation Media.

The sefer Choshev Machshavot asked the following question. On one hand, it says in Iyov regarding the wisdom of Torah והחכמה מאין תמצא – that it is difficult to decipher. It also says there לא ידע אנוש ערכה – people do not understand its true value. Yet, in parashat V'etchanan , it says regarding the Torah, כי היא חכמתכם ובינתכם לעיני הענים – the world will recognize its great wisdom through us. How do we understand this pasuk in light of the pesukim in Iyov ? Furthermore, what great wisdom will the world see in us by us adhering to the Torah? We follow its mitzvot like eating matzah , shaking lulav and etrog , and blowing shofar . How is the wisdom of the Torah apparent in those mitzvot ? The rabbi explained with a mashal . Take for instance the person who created the very first piano. How much wisdom went into creating it? Namely, all of the mechanisms and stringing of the chords that connected to the keyboard to produce the beautiful music that it produced. All of that back work was hidden. We are only able to see the pianist pressing the buttons and producing the beautiful music. Those sounds reveal all of the wisdom that is behind them. Similarly, Hashem connected the Torah and mitzvot with infinite connections to the myriads of Upper Worlds in Shamayim . Every mitzvah we do sets off so many things in motion. The Gemara says when we blow the shofar on Rosh Hashanah, Hashem gets off His Throne of Judgment and moves to His Throne of Mercy. Hashem in His endless wisdom prepared spiritual connectors to every mitzvah that we do and one day those connections are going to be revealed and everyone will see how each person's performance of mitzvot was what was making this world turn and how many things each one of them accomplished. The nations of the world will recognize the endless wisdom behind the Torah at that time. For now, we don't fully appreciate the value because we don't have the eyes to see what's going on behind the scenes. Sometimes, we are given small glimpses of how people's performance of mitzvot directly cause physical changes to take place in this world. A rabbi told me, during the time the schools were closed because of Covid, his neighbor asked him if he would teach his son Torah on a daily basis outdoors. The neighbor apologized saying he couldn't afford to pay, but he hoped the rabbi would do it anyway. This was a tall order, being that there was a going rate to do such a thing and the rabbi could have used the money. This rabbi had a few daughters but no sons. Moreover, he and his wife had not been blessed with any children in the previous four years. He remembered once learning that teaching someone else's son Torah is a segula to be blessed with one's own son. So the rabbi told the neighbor he would happily do it, and every day, for months, he taught this boy for an hour a day. About ten months from when they began, this rabbi and his wife were holding their very own baby boy. Another man, who used to be in prison, related the following story about himself. While in jail, the only thing he looked forward to was receiving a weekly care package from a relative. One day, a bully went over to him and asked him to give him the package. And then, he took out a knife and threatened him if he didn't. With no other choice, he gave up that package and this went on every single week and it bothered this man greatly. One day he was visited by a rabbi from Chabad and he told the rabbi about his plight. The rabbi asked him if he kept Torah and mitzvot and the man said he knew he could do better. The rabbi asked him if he would commit to putting on Tefillin every day as well as saying Asher Yatzar each time he went to the bathroom. The man said he would do it. The rabbi told him, “ B'ezrat Hashem, in the merit of those deeds, this man will stop bothering you.” Lo and behold, by the end of that week, this bully was removed from the prison and put into solitary confinement because he was caught attempting to harm somebody else there. We have no idea what our mitzvot are accomplishing, but we do know each one of them is connected in infinite ways to the holiest places and, one day, the great wisdom of Hashem will be understood by all.
Emunah gives meaning to every moment of a person's life. It takes a regular mundane issue and turns it into the greatest Avodat Hashem. If instead of complaining, a person says, "I accept this as Your will, Hashem," then that challenge becomes קודש קודשים-the Holy of Holies. Many times people misread Hashem; they think He is abandoning them when,in actuality, He is giving them the opportunity to reach great heights. Someone told me recently, "I'm being so good. I try so hard to do all the Mitzvot, and all I ask from Hashem is to give me a little more money, but He's not answering me." I told this man that all of our "greats" went through challenging times. And it was their Emunah during those times that made them so great. To be able to say, 'Hashem, You know what my soul needs better than I do. If this is how You know my life has to be at this moment to serve You in order to reach my potential, then I'll do it with joy," can take that hardship and turn it into the most precious Avodat Hashem. Life is a cycle; we move from one situation to another. One challenge passes and we're on to the next. Each one presents us with an opportunity that will never come back again. Being in a specific situation at a specific point in life never returns. We don't want to look back after the challenge passed and regret our behavior during it. Let us learn from our "greats" that the challenges are not Hashem abandoning but just the opposite, they are there to make us great. Yaakov Avinu was learning day and night for sixty-three years in the home of his parents Yitzchak and Rivka. And then all of a sudden he found himself running for his life. And then he was robbed of all of his possessions. And we ask, what was he doing wrong? Why did that have to happen to him? But who is like Hashem Who knows how to make a person great? Hashem worries about us reaching our potential, and He gives each and every person the exact set of circumstances he needs to become the person he is supposed to be. Yaakov succeeded in learning and serving Hashem when the conditions were optimal, but now he needed to be able to learn under duress when things were unsettled. And he did. He went for fourteen years to learn day and night amidst that hardship. And that took him to another level. Sometimes we think our prayers are not being heard, but we don't know what's good for us. When Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai was hiding in the cave with his son for thirteen years, imagine the prayers of his community. They must have had mass gatherings praying that their leader return. Rabbi Shimon himself must have been praying every Tefilla that Hashem should let him out. But during those thirteen hard years, he produced the Zohar HaKadosh which has lit up the eyes of Klal Yisraeland will continue to do so for all eternity. Hashem heard every prayer, but He used them the way He knew was best. If Rebbe Shimon would have gotten out right away, look at what the world would have lost. That challenge was his greatest gift. When Avraham Avinu was told by Hashem to bring Yitzchak as a Korban, he listened and traveled with Yitzchak for three days to get to the designated location. Imagine the difficulty of having to walk all that distance with Yitzchak. Avraham knew what was going to happen, and Yitzchak was thinking they're going to offer up an animal. Every step Avraham took, he knew he was getting closer to losing his son. But those very difficult days produced one of the greatest Zechuyot in all of our history. Every Rosh Hashanah for thousands of years after, Hashem remembers that challenge and gets off of His throne of Judgement and sits on His Throne of Mercy. And millions and millions of Avraham's children are benefitting from that challenge. The challenges of life are difficult. We can either sulk about them, or we can follow Hashem's lead and elevate ourselves. David HaMelech had the hardest life. He wrote down all of his challenges and created Sefer Tehillim, singing to Hashem. And for the rest of history, the entire Jewish Nation clings to that Sefer Tehillim, crying over it, singing with it. We can all become the great people we're destined to becoming if we too will cling to Hashem during the challenging times. If we pray harder and learn better and continue following the Mitzvot despite the difficulties, that will allow our souls to soar.
Faith, Culture, and all things in between.Pastor Plek and Lizzie Turk tackle additional questions from our listeners in this bonus episode. Want to submit a question? Text 737-231-0605!Questions:- What's up Chris? I got a question for your podcast. For example don't eat shellfish, Why do majority of Christians follow the law of a man should not lay with another man yet other laws such as we shouldn't wear garments with mixed cloths, do not plant two types of seed in your field or your crops will be defiled. Just interesting why some laws matter more it seems.- Do you know of a scripture that confirms that our prayers are still alive before His Throne after we die? I know Almighty God is outside of time. Do our prayers expire?- What do you think about church in the Metaverse?- Can you explain how God viewed/handled sin in various times: Adam to Moses (before the Law), Moses to Jesus (after the Law but before the Spirit), and Jesus to now (with the Spirit and under the new covenant)? After reading Romans 5:13-14 I could use some clarity on how man's consciousness of sin, and God's view of sin worked between each of those times.Support the show (https://wbcc.churchcenter.com/giving)

When we judge our brother we become anti-Christs, because we rob the True Judge - Jesus Christ - of the authority given to Him Alone by the Father. We envy His place on His Throne of Judgement and we sit on His Throne in our mind, making ourselves to be judges, although God did not give us this authority. We are not the Judge, but the ones who will be judged, with the rest of humanity. We must always remember that the Same One Who said: 'do not kill' also said: 'do not Judge'.
Show NotesThe 2020 elections have been said to be one of the most pivotal elections of our lifetime. Many experts have even said that it is the most critical since the election of Abraham Lincoln. As I was sitting in my quiet house on the eve of Election Day, I was wondering what my message would be when we found out the results. I was reminded of 2 Chronicles 20, when Jehoshaphat turned to God – this battle is not ours, it belongs to God. No matter who wins or loses, my message, my job, and my passions will remain the same. This year hasn't taken God by surprise. The next days and weeks might be shocking to us, yet no matter the results the sun will still rise and God will still sit on His Throne.
