Today on Mission Supercritical our host Andy Joeseph joined by Jim Haferkorn. Jim is an account manager for Rockwell Automation. He’s been with them for over 17 years and is a former Marine. Rockwell Automation is the world’s largest company dedicated to industrial automation and information. Apeks Supercritical and Rockwell Automation teamed up early in the design stages of producing machines for the Botanical Extraction industry. Since the beginning, Apeks was a part of the Rockwell Automation OEM program, which allowed Apeks to take advantage of a closer relationship with the Product Groups within Rockwell Automation. Apeks strategically used the right products to take advantage of their process expertise, and the right toolkits to produce Smart Machines for the marketplace in the infancy of their business. Robust solutions and hardware were designed in at the beginning and fine-tuned as the Apeks solutions evolved with the marketplace.

Apeks Supercritical is located in Johnstown, Ohio, and Jim Lenner has been the Village Manager for the Village of Johnstown for seven years. Prior to his position in Johnstown, he worked for the Licking County Planning Commission for five years. Jim is a board member for the Licking County Transportation Improvement District, Explore Licking County and Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority. Jim earned his M.A. in Public Administration from Park University and B.A. in Political Science & Public Affairs from Muskingum University. He also has his certification in Geographic Information Systems from Penn State University.

Andy Joseph talks to Brady Glauthier, a cannabis green thumb and the founder and CEO of PureCon, one of the earliest customers with Apeks Supercritical. We hear about his background growing up when his father grew cannabis.We learn how Brady started his own hydroponic garage to make ends meet and how he learned how to become a better grower and how to optimize his cannabis harvest with the help of an Apex Supercritical extraction system.

Today on Burning Issues Sean Eubanks is joined by Craig Henderson the CEO and founder of Extract Labs, an industrial hemp extraction, product formulation and consulting company, based out of Boulder Colorado. Prior to founding Extract Labs, he was the Senior Sales Engineer for Apeks Supercritical, based out of Denver Colorado. He performed technical sales, and managed all national (and international) training and service on Apeks extraction systems. I also performed cannabis related research and development, and taught classes specifically on advanced CO2 extraction techniques along with pre and post processing techniques. They talk about his rise to sucess and what his company Extract Labs offers in the cannabis community.

Andy Joseph, President of Apeks Supercritical, cut his teeth in service of our country, as part of the US Navy’s Nuclear division. The integrity and discipline he learned there stuck with him throughout his varied professional life, which saw him working in manufacturing as a machinist (and even as a UPS package handler!) before ultimately making Apeks Supercritical the industry giant that it is today. Though he may have initially believed he was building machines for “Lavender” extraction, Andy focuses on providing environmentally conscious equipment to properly process flower.
