In this episode of Mattalk, we dive into the Season 5 installment of Matlock titled "The Fighter." The story centers around a celebrated boxing champion, portrayed by Ken Foree, who finds himself at the heart of a scandalous murder investigation. The champ is accused of killing a journalist, played by Christopher Allport, whose latest article cast him in an unfavorable light. The episode sets the stage for a gripping courtroom drama, as Ben Matlock (Andy Griffith) takes on the case to uncover the truth behind the allegations. As Matlock delves deeper into the case, he unravels a web of deception and hidden motives. The journalist's scathing article not only tarnished the boxer's reputation but also hinted at potential criminal activities within the boxing world. Each witness and piece of evidence adds a new layer of complexity to the case, challenging Matlock's legal prowess and intuition. The episode masterfully balances the tension of the courtroom with the suspense of a murder mystery, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats. In "The Fighter," the series continues to showcase its knack for blending legal drama with compelling character studies. Ken Foree delivers a powerful performance as a man fighting to clear his name while facing the brutal realities of his profession. Meanwhile, Andy Griffith's portrayal of Matlock remains as sharp and endearing as ever, guiding the audience through the twists and turns of the case. This episode not only highlights the show's enduring appeal but also serves as a testament to its ability to craft intricate and engaging narratives. It is Bede's pick this time and since it is now officially Christmas month on the podcast he went with a Christmas classic with Jack Frost 2: Revenge of the Mutant Killer Snowman (2000). In true Tubi Tuesdays fashion, we start a film series off with a sequel, mostly to confuse Marcey because she never knows what is going on. Side note there were some technical issues during the recording of the episode, hopefully this has not affected the overall show quality for our lovely listeners - thanks for understanding.Jack Frost 2: Revenge of the Mutant Killer Snowman was written and directed by Michael Cooney, it stars Christopher Allport, Eileen Seeley, Marsha Clark, Chip Heller, Ray Cooney, David Allen Brooks, Sean Patrick Murphy, Tai Bennett, Jennifer Lyons and Scott MacDonald as the voice of Jack Frost. If you have never listened to a commentary before and want to watch the film along with the podcast, here is how it works. You simply need to grab a copy of the film or load it up on Tubi (you may need alcohol), and sync up the podcast audio with the film. We will tell you when to press and you follow along, it is that easy! Because we have watched the films on Tubi, it is a free service and there are ads, however we will give a warning when it comes up, so you can pause the film and provide time stamps to keep in sync.Highlights include:* It is officially Christmas month!* Yes of course Bede picked a film about a killer snowman.* Are we high enough for this film?!* Tobey the ghost introduces his Italian cousin!* Some how Kraven is unbanned from the podcast ...* Everyone wants a little baby Jack Frost snow creature!* But still how can Jack Frost exist in the warm climate?!* Jack Frost likes nipples ... of course he does!* Plus much, much more!Check out The Super Network on Patreon to gain early access to The Tubi Tuesdays Podcast!DISCLAIMER: This audio commentary isn't meant to be taken seriously, it is just a humourous look at a film. Hello and welcome to another B Bin Christmas Episode! On this week's episode we talk about the 1997 Horror/Comedy, Jack Frost. Jack Frost was written and directed by Michael Cooney. The movie stars Shannon Elizabeth (in her debut film), Scott MacDonald, Christopher Allport and a bunch of others but I don't feel like typing them all out. Not only do we talk about our favorite moments of this film but we also discuss who would win a fight to the death between Jack Frost, Michael Keaton's Jack Frost with some of the Batman skills and Frosty the Snowman on heavy amounts of meth. We hope you enjoy this episode as much as we did. If you aren't already please follow us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter @bbinhorror. You can also send us emails at bbinhorror@gmail.com
Mason Summit is a Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, producer, & multi-instrumentalist whose music blends folk, jazz, & psychedelic pop. At an early age, his father, the late actor/musician Christopher Allport, taught him guitar basics & accompanied him at local open mic nights. Summit began writing his own music in the wake of Christopher’s 2008 death in an avalanche. Summit took a gap year after high school to record 2016’s Gunpowder Tracks, for which No Depression labeled him a “pop prodigy.” While studying at the USC Thornton School of Music, Summit branched out into independent production work, producing two tracks on Jensen McRae’s early EP Milkshakes, as well as Irene Greene’s debut single, “Platinum Baby.” In 2020, he graduated USC and released the album Negative Space. His latest single, “Snowblind,” came out on February 26.
Another Episode a couple weeks late, but this one is worth it. After a serial killer is...well, you'll just have to listen to find out, but it involves chemicals, and snow. The highlight of this episode involves Nigel and Kaitlyn discussing whether one character had intentions of murdering another character. Like we said, you'll have to listen to find out just what they're talking about. There must’ve been some magic in that old top hat we found because ’tis the season and we’ve got a long one talking about Michael Cooney’s killer snowman flick JACK FROST!!!! When a truck filled with genetic engineering goo crashes into a truck transporting titular serial killer Jack Frost played by Scott MacDonald and turns him into an immortal snowman it’s up to Christopher Allport’s Snomonton(ugh) Sheriff Sam Tiler to save the day. Also in the picture are Sam’s dumbass son who tries to poison him with antifreeze, Shannon Elizabeth in her screen debut, and FBI agent with the most orange eyebrows and a classic mad scientist! It’s largely enjoyable but Christopher had some thoughts about some of the seedier aspects of the film. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Dean and Josh consider why Lazarus is one of those middling episodes that nobody really talks or cares about, and they keep coming back to the same culprit: Agent Jack Willis, despite Christopher Allport's best efforts, just isn't a character that is particularly likable or sympathetic. The episode relies too heavily on creating sympathy for him through Scully's POV. Sadly, it doesn't work. That tattoo thing is dumb too, but neither reason is cause to write the episode off. The episode is not bad, on the contrary, there is plenty to like especially Allport's performance. There is also some slick tactical movement (finally!), the always popular psychic transference device, and some legitimate police work from Mulder.
