In this episode Mark talks about one of his favourite films: the hilarious, family favourite, 1989 American comedy film "Uncle Buck" written and directed by John Hughes. The film stars John Candy as the unemployed, bachelor, and all-round slob, Buck Russell, who lives in the city of Chicago, who babysits his middle-class brother Bob and sister-in-law Cindy's three children - including one rebellious teenage daughter, Tia (played by Jean Louisa Kelly), who makes life difficult for her Uncle Buck whenever she can while he is overseeing her and her younger siblings Miles (played by Macaulay Culkin), and Maizy (played Gaby Hoffman). Amy Madigan stars as Chanice Kobolowski - Buck's girlfriend who has been dating Buck for eight years and who wants to get married and start a family with him - and Laurie Metcalf as Marcie Dahlgren-Frost - Bob and Cindy's neighbour who attempts to seduce Buck while he is home alone at the Russell family home. The film also stars Jay Underwood as Bug, Mike Starr as Pooter the Clown, Gareth M. Brown as Bob Russell, and Elaine Bromka as Cindy Russell. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/markthepoet/message

This has to be one of my favourites. I know, I know. I could say that about every episode, but this one is special. Cindy is one of those people who you can’t help but feel comfortable opening up to. I have talked Cindy’s ear off on a zillion different occasions, so I thought it was high time I sit down and listen for a solid hour. Our conversation shares a little bit about Cindy’s life growing up, but ultimately veers into a beautiful discussion about depression and mental health. While I edit, I take little notes on this episode focuses on. This one was tough… We talk about feeling like damaged goods, the toll of depression on ourselves and on relationships, the importance of reaching out, why we want to resolve conflicts with people, and well… everything else. I really believe this is a conversation anyone would benefit from listening to. Even more, though, I believe everyone ought to take time out of their day to listen to those around you. Find 5 minutes, today, to listen. Just listen. Follow us on www.knightworthy.com (http://www.knightworthy.com/cover) Thanks again for listening! A Peaceful Mind This Christmas with Cindy Russell, Australia For many Christmas can be a wonderful time, and for many others, it can be a time of loneliness, worry, conflict, and stress. A peaceful mind is something most people want and Christmas is a time they wish they had it more than ever. It can seem almost impossible to create a peaceful mind when it is outside influences that are causing the stress, worry or loneliness but Cindy assures people it is not. Inner peace is achievable in any situation and Cindy has established 5 easy steps that she takes people through to show them how. Cindy adapted these steps specifically to address the Christmas period. For more information visit: https://cindyrussell.com.au/

Cindy Russell is an Instigator of Change. Her goal and passion to help parents and children EXPAND, EXPLORE and EXPERIENCE the full magnificence of who they really are. Her passion for this is personal, at a very young age she realised that adults couldn’t help her understand who she was. It was then when she developed severe anxiety that became a part of her every day until 1996 when I stumbled upon a kinesiologist. From that point on, she hasn't experienced anxiety since. Now a practitioner and trainer in kinesiology, Life Coaching and Neuro Linguistic Programming and for the last 17 years, she has worked with kids and adults, witnessing what happens when people of all ages unlock their inner resources and recognise their full magnificence.Cindy believes that if we all follow our instinct and intuition, trust ourselves a little more, believe in ourselves, love ourselves, life will be different. Imagine living a life like that yourself and your children as well.
