The Trump administration has declared war on Mexican drug cartels. Federal contractors already have to declare they don't do business with foreign terrorist organizations. But new guidance from the Department of Justice means it turns out it might not be so easy to tell who's who, and that has legal repercussions. To help us understand these new complexities, Counsels from King and Spalding, Mike Galdo and Brandt Leibe join me now.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Government's Office of Evil - Special Prosecutors and Special Counsels (Special Edition)

Send us a textFew offices in the history of our government have produced more harm, to more people, more often, and more efficiently that the office created in 1973 to investigate the Watergate Scandal. The Special Prosecutor's statute stayed on the books the rest of the 20th century and was used to wound the reelection campaign of George H. W. Bush, and then cripple the final years of the Presidency of Bill Clinton. It has horribly damaged the historical legacies of four United States Presidents: Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, and Bill Clinton. Ironically, the very party who dreamed this evil institution up, the Democratic Party,  was the same one to end it when the statue expired in 1999, but only after it had been effectively used to demolish a President of their own party, even as the Impeachment attempt failed to remove Bill Clinton from office.  Then congress invented its bastardized cousin, the Special Counsel statue. While it does have some modest restraints compared to the absolute total powers of the Special Prosecutor's statute, the record of abuse there may not be fully known until our current era, centered around Donald Trump, is over. As we look back at the 1992 Presidential Election and its controversial end. We thought this the perfect opportunity to show to our listeners the full impact of the 30 years of dishonesty that has been used to devastatingly wound four American Presidencies. But even worse than the damage done to the institution of the Presidency is the personal destruction it has wrought on the innocent aids to these Presidents. Often young men and women, whose only real crime was earnestly wanting to play role in the history of the nation and seize the opportunity so few people get in life, the chance to work for the President of the United States. Instead, many faced prison time, and were financially wiped out, while the most dastardly, horrible , unethical people you could have ever dreamed up paraded themselves on television and in books as lawyers who champion justice while playing on the trusting nature of a naive public that still believes that our Justice System is the one uncorrupted branch of government left in the land. Here we lay everything out, the abuses of power, and the intentionally corrupt birth of the most evil office our government has ever created. We hope it will serve as a warning for what we have seen in our more modern times, so that perhaps wise heads will see to it that this institution dies, with a stake through its heart. Like this bloodsucking vampire of an institution of division and destruction  truly deserves.  Boundless Insights - with Aviva KlompasIn depth analysis of what's happening in Israel—and why it matters everywhere.Listen on: Apple Podcasts SpotifyQuestions or comments at , Randalrgw1@aol.com , https://twitter.com/randal_wallace , and http://www.randalwallace.com/Please Leave us a review at wherever you get your podcastsThanks for listening!!

To develop trust in the Lord, not love for money.SAVE - Prov 21:20 - 20 There is desirable treasure, And oil in the dwelling of the wise, But a foolish man squanders it.Proverbs 6:6-11 - Develop contentment. How to make our children citizens of Heaven? The series of messages, "Anchored in Christ: a Family that Stands," was presented to members of the West Asia Field, headquartered in Istambul, Turkey, on March 4, 2026. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? 10 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. 11 Now no [c]chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.Guidance about discipline in Proverbs:1. Proverbs 13:24He who spares his rod hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines him promptly. 2. Proverbs 19:18Chasten your son while there is hope, and do not set your heart on his destruction. (About how parents can avoid destroying their children, see Eph 4:22-32) 3. Proverbs 22:6Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. 4. Proverbs 22:15Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; the rod of correction will drive it far from him. 5. Proverbs 23:13-14Do not withhold correction from a child, for if you beat him with a rod, he will not die. You shall beat him with a rod, and deliver his soul from hell. 6. Proverbs 29:15The rod and rebuke give wisdom, but a child left to himself brings shame to his mother. 7. Proverbs 29:17Correct your son, and he will give you rest; yes, he will give delight to your soul.Important points for religious education:To promote obedience - this behavior toward earthly parents will be transferred to the Heavenly Father. Family worshipPersonal communion Sabbath keepingPresence in the churchCheck outside influencesGuide them in choosing friendshipsEntertainment: music, watching, Guide them while choosing their life partner - prevent them from unequal yokeGuide them to honor God in their financial lifeTo have savingsTo put God firstSuggested literature may be found here:"Child Guidance," "The Adventist Home," "Education," "Counsels to Parents, Teachers, and Students," and "Fundamentals on Christian Education"

"Be sure that wherever our lot is cast we may and must aim at the perfect life." Written over 400 years ago, Introduction to the Devout Life is still one of the most popular books for those pursuing holiness. St. Francis de Sales explains how to turn that desire for sanctity into resolutions that yield grace-filled results. Themes include: Pursuing a devout life whole-heartedly Incorporating prayer and sacraments into a busy schedule Growing in virtue Battling wisely against temptation Making spiritual progress through daily, monthly, and yearly exercises Whether you are just beginning your spiritual journey or are more advanced in the spiritual life, you'll be able to apply this timeless wisdom immediately. Let St. Francis de Sales illumine the path to holiness and strengthen your desire to walk that road with the Lord. St. Francis de Sales (1567–1622) was the Bishop of Geneva and a renowned spiritual director. Preaching during the Counter-Reformation, he is estimated to have converted 70,000 Calvinists in his lifetime. He was a fervent proponent of the universal call to holiness and spent much of his time guiding lay people on the road to sanctity. Declared a Doctor of the Church by Pope Pius IX in 1877, St. Francis is still helping to form saints through his many writings, of which Introduction to the Devout Life is the most famous. —description from the publisher Introduction to the Devout Life full text: https://watch.formed.org/introduction-to-the-devout-life-by-st-francis-de-sales SUBSCRIBE to Catholic Culture Audiobooks https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/catholic-culture-audiobooks/id1482214268 SIGN UP for Catholic Culture's newsletter http://www.catholicculture.org/newsletter DONATE at http://www.catholicculture.org/donate/audio  Theme music: "2 Part Invention", composed by Mark Christopher Brandt, performed by Thomas Mirus. ©️2019 Heart of the Lion Publishing Co./BMI. -Counsels on Health, p. 222.

General Counsels to [Young] Men 1. Try to get a clear view of the evil of sin Think about what the Bible says about sin (Gen. 6:5, Ps. 143:2, Ecc. 7:20, Isa. 64:6, Matt. 15:19, Rom. 3:20, 23, & Rom. 6:21, 23) Think what an awful change sin has worked on all our natures Think what it has cost to make atonement for sin and to provide a pardon and forgiveness for sinners Think what sin has already done on the earth Think of all the misery and sorrow that sin has caused, and is causing, to this very day. Pain, disease, death, strifes, quarrels, divisions, envy, jealousy, malice, deceit, fraud, cheating, violence, oppression, robbery, selfishness, unkindness, and ingratitude; all these are the fruits of sin. Sin is the parent of them all. It is sin that has so marred and spoiled the face of God's creation.2. Seek to become acquainted with our Lord Jesus Christ This is the principal thing and cornerstone of Christianity Don't let me be misunderstood. It is not the mere knowing of Christ's name that I mean, it is the knowing of His mercy, grace, and power, the knowing of Him not by the hearing of the ear, but by the experience of your hearts. I want you to know Him by faith, I want you, as Paul says, to know “the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death (Phil. 3:10). I want you to be able to say of Him, He is my peace and my strength, my life and my consolation, my Physician and my Shepherd, my Savior and my God.3. Determine as long as you live to make the Bible your guide and adviser The Bible is God's merciful provision for sinful man's soul. All that we need to know, in order to make us peaceful, holy or happy, is richly contained there. Men, I charge you to make a habit of reading the Bible, and not to let the habit be broken. Determine that you will make time to read it.  Read it with the prayer that the Holy Spirit's grace will help you understand it.   Read it reverently, as the Word of God, not of man, believing implicitly that what it approves is right, and what itcondemns is wrong.   Give the Bible the honor due to it every day you live.4. Never make as an intimate friend anyone who is not a friend of God Understand me, I do not speak of acquaintances. I do not mean that you ought to have nothing to do with anyone but true Christians.   But I do advise you to be very careful in your choice of friends. Do not open all your heart to a man merely because  he is clever, agreeable, good-natured, and kind. There things are all very well in their way, but they are not everything. Never be satisfied with the friendship of anyone who will not be useful to your soul.  Believe me, the importance of this advice cannot be overrated. There is no telling the harm that is done byassociating with godless companions and friends. Without our being aware of it, they influence our tastes and opinions. And, worst of all, we catch their ways in things that are wrong far quicker than things that are right. For more information about this group, please visit their website at reformationboise.com. In this segment from the Son Rise Morning Show on Sacred Heart Radio, Fr. Frank Donio, S.A.C. discusses Secular Institutes in the United States. (from the United States Conference of Secular Institutes): We are a sign of the Church that loves to be among the people! Members of secular institutes are “in the world and not of the world, but for the world.” We live in whatever providential circumstances God gives us, but we wholly consecrate our lives to God through the evangelical counsels of poverty, obedience, and celibate-chastity. We are the newest vocation in the Catholic Church, and many say we are the vocation of the new millennium. Each secular institute bears the unique charism of its founders and traditions, and each celebrates its “communion” by annual retreats, meetings, common daily prayer, and friendships that evolve quite naturally from living a similar life in God despite differences in profession or work in the world. A web of connectedness grows over time, linking the members to one another inextricably. For all consecrated seculars, the vocation undergirds all they undertake because it becomes the essence of what they are in God's eye.On February 2, 1947, Pope Pius XII gave official approval to secular institutes as an original form of consecrated life within the Catholic Church. Members have the special mission “to work for the sanctification of the world from within” (Provida Mater Ecclesia).Members of secular institutes belong to consecrated life. They profess a life of poverty, chastity and obedience, the evangelical counsels, so named because Jesus gave us this advice for happiness in the Gospels.Poverty: means that we do not rely on material possessions for our happiness, but trust in God to provide what we need. We free ourselves from the excess baggage of worrying about accumulating money or possessions.Chastity: is built on love, respect and concern for everyone we encounter. We are free from the exclusive love that marriage requires so that we can share our love more fully with many people.Obedience: requires that we be available to do whatever God may ask of us. Obedience frees us from personal ambition.Everyone should follow this advice, but consecrated persons make public promises to God and the Church to make this their full time career. Their main ministry is not a job; their main ministry is love Members of secular institutes: where are they? They are in the marketplace, tilling a field, in the home anywhere, everywhere who live fully for Christ. They are the heartbeat of the Church in everyday life. Consecrated seculars live like their co-workers, but their hearts belong first to the Lord who called them to total commitment and who sustains them in their jobs where they bring their love of the Lord to others.Notes:Click to view Living as Missionary Discipleship ResourcesVocational Discernment ResourcesRead Ad Infinitum blog posts on Accompaniment and Mentorship Follow us:The Catholic Apostolate CenterThe Center's podcast websiteInstagramFacebookApple PodcastsSpotify Fr. In order to reach the divine harbor of God's love, we must first fear Him as God, Who chastens sin and transgression. It is not possible to cross the sea and reach the harbor without a boat. Likewise, it is impossible to reach the harbor of love without repentance. The fear of God, as commander and captain, makes us sit in the boat of repentance and takes us across the murky sea of life and guides us to the divine harbor of divine love. Just as we are unable to live without air, likewise it is impossible to live in the eternal life with God if we do not breathe the very sweet and fragrant air of God's love. God is love and full of compassion. Let us not sadden Him in anything! He endured the Cross for us; His head was pricked by the crown of thorns; His side was pierced by the spear; His feet were nailed; His back was scourged; His All-holy mouth was given gall and vinegar; His heart ached from the insolence and ingratitude; He was naked up on the Cross in front of such a demonic mob. This, my children, is Whom we should not sadden with our carelessness, which intensifies His suffering. The Jews were His enemies, whereas we have been baptized in His holy name we are His disciples who are devoted to serving Him! _______ Orthodox Wisdom is dedicated to sharing the writings and lives of the Saints of the Orthodox Church. Jethro counsels Moses to teach the law, to appoint lesser judges, and to delegate power to them. In this episode, we look at Jethro, who counsels Moses to teach the law, to appoint lesser judges, and to delegate power to them. After watching how Moses dealt with the people of Israel Jethro offered him some counsel Exodus 18:18 Thou wilt surely wear away, both thou and this people that is with thee: for this thing is too heavy for thee; thou art not able to perform it thyself alone. Moses agreed and implemented it. Exodus 18: 21-24 Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, man of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens: 22 And let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto thee, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for thyself, and they shall bear the burden with thee. 23 If thou shalt do this thing, and God command thee so, then thou shalt be able to endure, and all this people shall also go to their place in peace. 24 So Moses hearkened to the voice of his father-in-law and did all that he had said.

"No indeed, I would not even have people wish for more wit or better judgment, for such desires are frivolous, and take the place of the wish everyone ought to possess of improving what he has. We ought not to desire ways of serving God that He does not open to us, but rather desire to use what we have rightly."
