    Ivy Insights

The Grave Talks | Haunted, Paranormal & Supernatural podcast is an incredibly intriguing listen. Each episode is captivating, and I love that the guests vary, offering a wide array of perspectives and experiences. Tony and the team have created a community space where people can feel validated and heard, which is truly commendable. I highly recommend checking out this podcast; you won't regret it!

One of the best aspects of The Grave Talks podcast is its ability to engage listeners with its humor. The host's humor is often dark and dry, and it's something that my partner and I really appreciate. We listen to this podcast together during our adventures, and it adds an extra layer of enjoyment to our experiences. However, it's worth noting that not everyone may understand or appreciate this style of humor.

Another aspect that I appreciate about this podcast is its ability to educate listeners about various paranormal phenomena. As someone who has been interested in the paranormal since childhood, I thoroughly enjoy learning new things about haunted places and supernatural occurrences. The hosts do an excellent job of providing information in an entertaining way, making it both enjoyable and educational.

However, one downside to the podcast is that some listeners may find the host's repetitive use of filler words like "um" distracting. This can sometimes hinder the flow of interviews and make it difficult for guests to share their stories fully. While this may be a minor issue for some, others may find themselves focused more on these distractions than on enjoying the show.

In conclusion, The Grave Talks | Haunted, Paranormal & Supernatural podcast is one of my favorite podcasts in the genre. Tony is a fantastic host who asks thought-provoking questions that evoke deep insights from his guests. The stories shared are both creepy and personal, contributing to modern-day paranormal American folklore. Despite some minor drawbacks such as repetitive filler words used by the host, this podcast offers a compelling listening experience for fans of the paranormal.

College is supposed to be loud, crowded, and exhausting—but not this kind of exhausting. In a quiet Washington dorm room, something began watching from the dark when the lights went out. At first, it was just a feeling. The kind that makes you hesitate before opening a closet or turning your back on a corner of the room. But the longer the nights dragged on, the harder it became to ignore that someone—or something—was very present. This wasn't a quick scare or a one-night incident. It was persistent. Observant. Intimate in a way that stripped away any sense of safety. The kind of presence that doesn't rush… because it doesn't have to. Even when the room appeared empty again, the weight of being watched never lifted. #RealGhostStories #TrueParanormal #DormRoomHaunting #ShadowEntity #ClosetGhost #ParanormalEncounter #TrueHaunting #ScaryStories #Unexplained #HauntedCollege Love real ghost stories? Some children talk to imaginary friends. She talked to a man who didn't exist for anyone else. At five years old, she pointed to empty space in a crowded living room and calmly explained she could see through him. No one laughed. No one played along. The room went silent — and something changed. Years later, after a sudden death in the family, the presence returned with force. Closet doors slammed. Air rushed through sealed rooms. Lights began turning on by themselves — not randomly, but before something went wrong. Again. And again. They named him Frikkie, not to invite him closer, but because ignoring him didn't work anymore. Guests felt him sit on beds. Blankets shifted in the night. The house seemed to wake up, alert, as if bracing for impact. This isn't a haunted house story about jump scares or monsters. It's about patterns. About warnings that arrive quietly. About a presence that doesn't harm — but announces. #TrueStory #RealHaunting #ParanormalExperience #TrueGhostStory #HauntedHouse #Unexplained #CreepyTrueStory #RealParanormal #GhostStory #Haunting Love real ghost stories? In 1932, Dr. William Amos Trivette opened a modern clinic in the rural farmlands of Hamptonville, North Carolina. His dream was to bring advanced medicine to his community—but just six years later, his untimely death closed the doors on that vision. Over the decades, the building became a supper club, a detox center, a nursing home, and even a nursery. Yet through every new chapter, the same question lingered: who—or what—never left? Today, the Trivette Clinic is one of North Carolina's most talked-about haunted locations. Visitors report phantom footsteps, doors that move on their own, icy cold spots, and the laughter of unseen children. Some say Dr. Trivette still walks the halls, joined by two little girls known as “Majesty” and “Nancy,” along with nurses and patients who never checked out. Just hours before her birth, the body of a young man killed in a car accident was brought into the same space. Birth and death shared the room. And something noticed. As a child, she laughed at empty corners, reacted to unseen presences, and sensed shifts in rooms no one else felt. At just three years old, she saw eyes staring back at her from the darkness beneath her bed—and when she hid in fear, something stayed. When she reached out, it responded. Even after leaving the funeral home, the experiences followed. The feeling of being watched. The pressure in empty rooms. The sense that the haunting wasn't tied to a location—but to her. Tucked away in the heart of Springfield, Missouri, stands a towering limestone fortress with a past as layered and mysterious as its walls, the Pythian Castle. Built in 1913 by the secretive Knights of Pythias, it was never meant for rituals or brotherhood meetings. Instead, it was a home for aging members nearing life's end and orphaned children left behind by tragedy. But that was only the beginning. During World War II, the U.S. military took over, transforming the castle into a rehabilitation center and a holding site for prisoners of war. Rumors of confinement, hidden tunnels, and unspoken wartime horrors still linger in the basement shadows. More than a century later, the castle still stands—and, it seems, so do its former residents. Disembodied voices ripple through the marble lobby. Doors slam where no one walks. Children's laughter echoes in its halls, as does a woman's greeting, but who, and where, is she? Ken and Katherine Greer recently purchased the historic (and undeniably haunted) Beeson Mansion in Niles, Michigan. Built in 1847 by a local whiskey distiller, this stately home was sold to attorney Strother Beeson, who left his mark in an unusual way—by erecting a crypt for his mother, right across the street from the mansion. In time, others joined his mother in the afterlife and in the crypt. Local legend has it that Strother's daughter-in-law, Harriet, was so grief-stricken by the loss of her infant son that she continued to visit him nightly in the crypt. Today, Ken and Katherine plan to transform this incredible mansion into a haunted bed-and-breakfast. But as rumors of sobbing apparitions and flickering lanterns in the crypt suggest, they may have some spirited guests to accommodate—guests that checked in over a century ago and never checked out. This isn't a movie script. This is a true story from a former college student who found himself at the center of a chilling haunting in a small off-campus rental. At first, it seemed harmless — a few restless nights, some nervous laughs, and a strange habit of waking at exactly 2:47. But then came the humming. It started softly, drifting through the living room, almost like a woman's voice carried on the air. But night after night it grew closer. Louder. Until it seemed to be standing right outside his bedroom door. The humming wasn't joyful or familiar — it was flat, steady, unsettling. It sounded less like music and more like something filling the silence. Soon, his roommates began hearing it too. One even swore she heard the locked front door creak open in the middle of the night. Another claimed she felt someone sit on her bed — only to find the indentation vanish as if no one had ever been there. It wasn't just them. This house had a history — one tied to late-night shadows, unearthly humming, and an unshakable fear of what waits at 2:47 a.m. #HauntedHouse #RealGhostStories #ParanormalActivity #GhostStory #TrueHaunting #HauntedRental #ParanormalPodcast #ShadowFigure #CreepyStories #UnexplainedPhenomena #GhostExperiences #HauntedPlaces Love real ghost stories? This is a Grave Talks EPISODE! Is it possible for an ordinary object to become something far more unsettling? In this episode of The Grave Talks, we explore the eerie world of haunted objects—items that seem to carry more than just age and memory. From dolls and mirrors to heirlooms passed down through generations, countless people report strange activity tied not to places, but to things. Christopher Balzano, author of Haunted Objects: Stories of Ghosts on Your Shelf breaks down why certain objects appear to retain residual energy, emotional imprints, or even attract spirits unwilling—or unable—to move on. Are these items acting as anchors for the dead, or are they simply vessels absorbing human emotion and trauma over time? We examine whether an object itself can be haunted, or if it's merely part of a larger haunting that follows it wherever it goes. When something familiar suddenly feels wrong, is it imagination… or a warning? Once an object carries a story, the question becomes: can it ever truly be just an object again? From the time he was a child, he knew something wasn't right in his room. The darkness felt heavier there. Shapes lingered at the window. Whispers never quite formed into words, but they were enough to make him cry, enough to make him beg to sleep somewhere else. As he got older, the activity didn't stop — it changed. A candle flickered and burned without ever being lit. Scratching echoed from inside the walls. Voices began calling his name from empty rooms, sometimes sounding exactly like the people he trusted most. Late at night, lights snapped on, doors rattled, and something moved through the apartment when no one should have been awake. What made it worse was the silence around it. When he asked questions, he was told to stop talking. When he was afraid, he was dismissed. And when someone else finally saw something watching him sleep, the truth didn't bring relief — it brought more questions. Years later, a single conversation revealed that this hadn't started with him at all. That whatever followed him had been known… and deliberately ignored.  #TrueGhostStory #ParanormalExperience #HauntedApartment #ShadowFigure #VoicesInTheDark #RealHaunting #ParanormalPodcast #UnexplainedActivity #SupernaturalEncounters #TrueParanormal Love real ghost stories? In her family, the supernatural was never discussed—it was controlled. She grew up surrounded by rules no one explained: mirrors covered after death, bells forbidden inside the house, certain actions stopped immediately and punished without warning. These weren't traditions or folklore. They were boundaries. And crossing them came with consequences. As a child, her nights were anything but ordinary. Severe night terrors, sleepwalking, and moments her family refused to talk about followed her until they stopped just as suddenly as they began. Years later, when she finally asked why, her father admitted he knew the reason—and then told her he would never explain it. What unsettles her most isn't fear—it's the silence that followed. The way her family shut conversations down. The way pieces of their past don't quite align. And the lingering sense that whatever reached out didn't leave… it just stopped trying. #TrueGhostStory #ParanormalExperience #FamilySecrets #Unexplained #ParanormalPodcast #SupernaturalEncounters #HauntedFamily #RealParanormal #QuietHaunting #MysteryStories   Love real ghost stories? What happens when a writer doesn't just imagine a haunted place—but chooses to work inside one? Author Brian Paone spent eight weeks writing his novel These Walls Still Talk inside the Missouri State Penitentiary, one of the most notoriously haunted prisons in America. Working alone at night, surrounded by abandoned cellblocks, execution chambers, and decades of unresolved history, Brian immersed himself completely in a place where silence never feels empty. As fiction took shape, reality pressed closer. The prison has its own rhythm, its own presence—and its own way of reminding visitors they're not alone. It starts as just another sleepless summer night—controller in hand, lights low, the quiet hum of a house after midnight. But when a teenage gamer looks up and notices a figure standing just outside his bedroom door, everything changes. The silhouette is unmistakable, right down to the wire-rim glasses his uncle always wore. Within hours, the experience spreads through the family in ways no one expects. A vivid dream. A message that isn't spoken out loud. Objects appearing where they shouldn't be. A familiar scent drifting through the house. None of it feels threatening. None of it feels accidental. What follows isn't a haunting—it's something gentler, more personal, and far harder to explain. A reminder that sometimes, goodbyes don't happen all at once. #RealGhostStoriesOnline #TrueGhostStory #ParanormalPodcast #VisitationStory #AfterDeathCommunication #FamilyHaunting #SpiritualSigns #LovedOnesAfterDeath #GentleHaunting #UnexplainedEvents #VisitationDream #SignsFromBeyond #ParanormalExperience #ComfortingEncounters #GhostStories  Love real ghost stories? The Morris-Jumel Mansion: Revolutionary History and Relentless Hauntings, Part Two | Grave Talks CLASSIC

This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE! Built in 1765 by British officer Roger Morris, the Morris-Jumel Mansion was never meant to be anything more than a quiet summer retreat. But more than 250 years later, that plan has clearly failed. Today, the mansion stands as Manhattan's oldest surviving house—and one of its most haunted. Over the centuries, the home has hosted some of the most powerful figures in American history, including George Washington and Aaron Burr. It's also been the backdrop for scandalous love affairs, whispered conspiracies, possible murders, and Revolutionary War intrigue. With that much emotional intensity packed into one place, it's no surprise that many believe some residents never truly left. Vincent Carbone has spent years exploring the strange activity inside the Morris-Jumel Mansion. From shadow figures and unexplained footsteps to spirits believed to be tied to former occupants, Vincent breaks down why this historic home continues to attract both historians and ghost hunters alike. Is the mansion haunted by those who loved, fought, and died within its walls—or by something far darker that feeds on centuries of unrest? This is Part Two of our conversation. #MorrisJumelMansion #TheGraveTalks #HauntedManhattan #ParanormalHistory #HauntedAmerica #TrueGhostStories #HistoricHauntings #RevolutionaryWarGhosts #HauntedNYC #RealParanormal  Love real ghost stories? We explore the terrifying story of the Static Man—an entity first encountered in a tense, emotionally fractured family home in Vernon. What started as sleepwalking and vivid dreams slowly unraveled into something far more disturbing. A tall, robed figure. A face made of buzzing static. A presence that didn't announce itself—but waited. As the family fell apart, the house seemed to absorb everything: anger, fear, abandonment. And from that environment, something emerged. The Static Man didn't just watch. He reached. He returned. And years later, in an entirely different home, he came back stronger—violent, physical, and relentless. Night after night, she was held down. Lifted from her bed. Choked by unseen hands. Doctors said it was stress. Family said it was dreams. But the marks were real—and so was the fear. Was this a haunting tied to a house soaked in trauma? Or was it something darker that followed the damage long after the doors were closed? #TrueGhostStory #ParanormalExperience #HauntedHouse #SleepParalysis #ShadowEntity #RealHaunting #TerrifyingEncounters #GhostStories #TheStaticMan #ParanormalPodcast Love real ghost stories?
