The guys review Tales from the Crypt: Bordello of Blood!
We love Billy Zane. We loved Demon Knight. We thought... por que no mas cryptkeeper? Might have been a mistake of hubris, or you might be a huge Dennis Miller fan. Let's face it, it was the mistake one. Hopefully we weren't to CRITI-GHOUL of your UNSAVOR-ITE monster CLA-SICK, Bordello of Blood. @Nerdaplexypod on Twitter nerdaplexy@gmail.com Support us monthly, if you nasty WWW.NERDAPLEXY.COM WWW.FLESHHORSE.COM --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/nerdaplexy/support
The boys peer into the depths of Walter's psyche as they discuss Tales from the Crypt: Bordello of Blood. Does lightning strike twice or is this one better left in the past? Your hosts bemoan 90's fashion and its imminent comeback, reminisce about the most disgusting candy of their childhood, and determine who the target market for this movie must have been. Plus: Kevin gives his thoughts on Terrifier 2 and its predecessor, Walter looks better than he sounds, and Kevin gets along with everyone's parents.
Episode 182 We've got our usual collection of four horror films and a short film for you this week. We'll start off with an interesting tale of mystery and suspense, where we'll find out "What Josiah Saw" released this year, then we'll finish off the Tales from the Crypt series of films with "Bordello of Blood" and "Ritual" which drove the nail into the coffin for that entire franchise. Finally, we'll watch the old voodoo zombie film, "I Walked with a Zombie" from 1943. Good stuff! This week the guys are closing out the Tales From the Crypt franchise once and for all when they pay a visit to the BORDELLO OF BLOOD! While it may not feature the incredible acting talents of Billy Zane (which is strikes one and two according to Cooper), in many ways this final installment is more true to the classic HBO TV show than its predecessor, DEMON KNIGHT. It's got all of the cheesy effects, corny jokes, and ironic twists you'd expect from the Cryptkeeper and company, plus a heaping handful of nudity that teenage boys in the 90s (and Nolan today) were understandably excited about. Also: Corey Feldman, completely off the chain! These are just a few of the sexy and scandalous things being covered in this one, so don't eat your heart out; this episode (featuring a beer from Chronicle Brewing Co.) has everything you need to satisfy your hunger... even if it's an eternal one.
Ben and Pogues watch Tales from the Crypt Bordello of Blood. They talk too many boobs, period piece openings, question the preacher and wonder how bad Dennis Miller can be.
A listener submitted their own Quality Time song, Ashley and Erik had a show, and Jeremy is still Jeremy. Then the gang breaks down 1996's "Tales From the Crypt : Bordello of Blood" .
Bakom konceptet märks industrigiganterna Richard Donner, Robert Zemeckis, Joel Silver och Walter Hill som redan året därpå följde upp denna första biosatsning med Tales from the Crypt: Bordello of Blood.

A Halloween episode well misses its deadline. Everyone is absolutely baffled that Dennis Miller was ever thought to be a reasonable casting choice for a lead in any quality of movie, and we all feel really sorry for Corey Feldman. Crack open a cold one with the boys and prepare for some takes from the crypt! The lads all watched a terrible movie with Dennis Miller in it, and Alex gets them back by assigning them both movies that are set in Boston. Shockingly, The Departed and Good Will Hunting are not on that list. The absolutely gorgeous cover art was designed and created by the ingenious Krystal Miner. Someone doused our shriveled black hearts in hooker blood and we're back from the grave for another week of Halloween celebration with the sequel (sort of) to Demon Knight - 1996's surprisingly unsexy Tales From the Crypt: Bordello of Blood! Matt has been hyped to pick this for years, but like any Tinder date involving Corey Feldman, expectation outweighs execution. The only thing in this episode that ISN'T flaccid is the conversation, so fill your pocket with rubbers, eat your veggies (vampires really hate vegetarians) and hang out with your fangs out enjoying another episode of Horror Movie Night!
Welcome to the Movie City Maniacs! Being that this is a new beginning for us, we thought it would be fitting to start anew with some Graduation Slashers. On this episode we cover the Savini gorefest The Prowler (1981), but not before Kyle’s controversial take on Tales from the Crypt: Bordello of Blood (1996), the […]
