Since J.J. Abrams only did The Force Awakens, and didn't lay out a plan for Episodes VIII and IX ... and since Rian Johnson only did The Last Jedi and didn't lay out a plan for Episode IX ... are we actually getting a Star Wars "trilogy" in the true sense of the word with this Sequel Trilogy? Or are we getting something else entirely - something that might happen to be very close to the heart of the Maker himself, George Lucas? Punch it! ***I'm listener supported! "We've got a fantastic movie in our podcast this week!" "Your podcast? What is it?" "It's a digital audio file with losers who never shut up... but that's not important right now." In our wide-ranging conversation about the slapstick comedy classic Airplane!, we chat about how you say "golly" in jive, what happens when the Zucker/Abrahams/Zucker trio breaks up, and we pay homage to the king of deadpan delivery, Leslie Nielsen. Plus we kick the episode off with a spoiler-filled analysis of Rogue One, and how that movie could affect Princess Leia's role in Episodes VIII and IX. Looks like you picked the wrong week to quit podcasts... especially if you want to know if Airplane! stands the Test of Time.
This month, we finish up our look at Rey with Rex and April, talking about shipping and speculation going forward for Episodes VIII and IX. We also bid a heartfelt farewell to Kenny Baker.

It came. We saw. Not really sure who did the conquering. SPOILERS ABOUND in our roundtable discussion of Star Wars The Force Awakens. You've been warned. Henry Reed and Jim Stephens join Bert, Allen, and Jeff this week to run through a quick bit of news, a mini Collector's Corner with Henry, and then of course the main attraction. We all loved TFA, so we took our time in discussing, what we liked, what we didn't (not much), theories, and where we think Episodes VIII and IX might go, and why some of us don't want every character to be related. Grab your lightsaber and join us for what might be our last episode of 2015! May the Schwartz be with you.

Hey ATA Listeners, on this week's podcast, we are playing a Game of Star Wars as we review the Season Finale of HBO's Blockbuster Series Game of Thrones and discuss Star Wars: The Clone Wars as a entire series in response to the final season being released on Netflix. There's also more Star Wars than just that as News with Nico provides an update on Harrison Ford's on set injury and sets up a discussion on the list of brilliant directors Disney has tapped to work on Episodes VIII, IX and potential Star Wars spinoff films. In addition, with the exciting news Legend of Korra: Book 3 is starting early, we discuss our future plans for reviewing the show while Nico brings this episode home with the Airwaves Rundown section reviewing the Season Finales for Orphan Black and FX's Fargo. Oh and last but not least Nico and I are going to take a brief hiatus from doing ATA but will be back in late July/early August for a Comic Con 2014 Review Episode.
