Dreamworks' surprisingly solid kid's film follows awkward Viking Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) and his quest to tame and train his newfound dragon pal Toothless. It's a surprisingly solid kid's flick, and we've got a drinking game and custom cocktail for it - check it out! (Thanks to our sponsor The Second City as part of the Chicago Podcast Coop!)
Sketchy welcomes back the Christopher Coleman of "A Pointless Endeavor" podcast. This time, Coleman brought his cohost Jacob Fili to join Ryan and Matt to discuss 2010's "How To Train Your Dragon." In addition to the high-brow discussion that the hosts often conduct, there is also a healthy dose of tangents and games. Enjoy! Jimmy sat down with the cast and creators of the upcoming stop motion animated feature Paranorman. Anna Kendrick, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Kodi Smit-McPhee provide some of the voices in the film and you hear them chat about their process and the excitement they had doing it. Christopher particularly comes across like a guy you want to have a beer with and Anna is really, really funny! Producer Arianne Knight and Production Designer Nelson Lowry talk about the design of the zombies and the craft of stop motion. Lead Animator/Producer Travis Knight, Director Sam Fell, and Writer/Director Chris Butler expand on the stop motion technique and why they used it. They also talk about the anti-bullying message that the film brings forth. Very fascinating stuff and we're highly looking forward to it! Leave your iTunes comments! 5 stars and nothing but love!
