Starring Eden Campbell from "The Mortuary Collection" and "Fear Street, Part 2." And with Jason Brooks a name you should all recognize from the fan-favorite crowd funded Friday the 13th fan films. - - - Die'ced is available to rent on Amazon Plus. Furthermore, he is starring in a movie "The Fetus" alongside Lauren LaVera and Bill Mosely. Which is about a couple struggle to learn the truth about the origins of their unborn child-- a demonic entity that emerges from the body. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/southjerseyhorror/message

While I understand why Marvel would want to "age up" Cassie Lang in the form of Kathryn Newton, there's a chemistry between Rudd & Abby Ryder Fortson was amazing. With that said, she's moved onto a new franchise with Are You There God, It's Me Margaret starring the aforementioned Abby Ryder Fortson and Rachel McAdams, has Ryder as the titular character navigating everything from a new town, to boys, and growing up. Directed by Kelly Fremon Craig, the director of my favorite film of 2016 in The Edge of Seventeen, does this film recapture that level of quality? Next week the Labor Party will hold its national conference in Brisbane. It's the first face-to-face conference in five years. These conferences don't have anything like the bite they once did, but there's still a chance for the party's rank and file to have a shout about issues. More than 400 delegates will be there. Most of the delegates are aligned to a faction, and for the first time in decades the left will have the largest slice of the numbers. AUKUS and the Stage 3 tax cuts are expected to be among the hot topics, but the conference will be carefully managed – there will be no defeats for Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. Ahead of the conference, we have already seen the government change its stance on Palestine, a sensitive subject among the left and right factions of the party. In this podcast we talk with Wayne Swan, the Labor Party National President. Swan was treasurer and deputy prime minister in the Rudd and Gillard governments.

*Content Warning: This episode of Doin' Time may contain audio images of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who have died, and discussion of Deaths in Custody. First up on today's show, Marisa speaks with Nicole Lee (President of People with Disability Australia) about the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation of People with Disability, and in particular about a recent research report on eliminating restrictive practises experienced by people with disability, "such as seclusion and restraint that is not only a traumatic violation of our human rights, but is also state-sanctioned within current state and territory laws". PWDA urges the Disability Royal Commission to make this recommendation in their final report. Next, Marisa speaks with Ian Rintoul from the Refugee Action Coalition, who gives listeners a run-down on the 10 Years: Too (Bloody) Long, demonstrations that were held in 28 cities across Australia from 19th-23rd July, marking 10 years since Rudd introduced the PNG deal, detention centres on Manus Island and Nauru, to the 'Pacific Solution' of mandatory offshore detention for refugees and asylum seekers. He gives a background of the situation, calls for the immediate cessation of offshore detention, and why we need to act quickly to bring the 75 individuals that remain in Papua New Guinea to Australia. Last up, Marisa reads a media release from the Human Rights Law Centre about systemic aged pension inequality, and the Federal Government's failure to close the gap in life expectancy between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and non-Indigenous people. This is the best episode of The Worst Movie Ever Made, and it's brought to you by Aegis Essential Oils (TM). In this confused and baffling exploration of environmental awareness, we see Steven Seagal run funny, type funny, get thrown like a rag doll like a bear, and kill a shitload of innocent people in the process. What a hoot! It's Inuits, not eskimos! Wanton destruction of small business (again, again)! Tapping the tribal chief! Seagall's Sexcimo bear-battle spirit walk! Annihilating innocent oil workers! Helli-chopping henchmen! Blowing a big oil rig to escape an environmental emergency! Hard R-Get! Faulty morality arcs! Pipe cutting logic! Booby trap tree branches! Coke bottle ballistic boomers! Have you ever wondered what it is like screenwriting inside the Marvel and Studio machine? Wonder no further, today we have screenwriter and director Joe Cornish. Joe was one of the writer's on Marvel's Ant-Man. The English comedian and filmmaker burst onto the scene in 2011 with his very successful film directorial debut, Attack The Block, starring John Boyega, who played Moses, a low-level crook, teenage gang leader, an orphan looking for respect around the block. The British sci-fi comedy horror film centers on a teenage street gang who have to defend themselves and their block from predatory alien invaders on Guy Fawkes Night.Cornish and his comedy partner, Adam Buxton form the successful duo, Adam & Joe an ironic pop culture sketch show which gained a lot of success in the UK alongside Cornish's long-term work in the UK TV entertainment industry. In 2011 he joined iconic directors, Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg as a writer for the screenplay and story for the 3D animated action-adventure film, The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn --- co-written alongside Edgar Wright and Steven Moffat.Intrepid reporter Tintin and Captain Haddock set off on a treasure hunt for a sunken ship commanded by Haddock's ancestor. This $135 million budget film grossed $374 million at the box office and received a plethora of nominations including Oscars for Best Original Score, a Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature Film, two BAFTA nominations for Best Animated Film and Best Special Visual Effects.Cornish co-wrote the screenplay for the Marvel Comic character, Ant-Man, along with Wright, Adam McKay, and Paul Rudd in 2015.Rudd, starring as Ant-Man is armed with a super-suit with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, cat burglar Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, plan and pull off a heist that will save the world. Similar to most Marvel Studio movies, the film carried a big budget of $169.3 million and grossed $519.3 million. His latest film, The Kid Who Would Be King (2019), which was written undirected by Cornish, joins a band of kids who embarks on an epic quest to thwart a medieval menace.Joe honestly, was extremely forthcoming and transparent about a lot of things; like what really happened behind the scenes on Ant-Man and what it's like to write inside the Marvel machine, working with filmmaking legends like Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson. And we also discuss his craft, how he approaches screenwriting and directing, and much more.Enjoy this conversation with Joe Cornish.
