Lolita joins the GBW podcast as a guest again to tell the story about her rendezvous with a bartender (aka “Dom Gentlemen”). Scarlett helps fill in the details of the night Lolita met her bartender and the hilarious drunk antics that ensued – including Lolita offering herself and Scarlett to a guy for a threesome. Coco, Scarlett, and Lolita talk about when they encountered the Dom Gentlemen the second time – a night that started with Lolita showing off her amazing parking skills and ended with Coco fondling another woman's boobs. Lolita shares the story of how, weeks later, she snuck out of a bar bathroom to run down the street to see her bartender to try for rendezvous round three, leaving Scarlett to fend for herself with two men that had latched on to them for the evening. Scarlett talks about what happened after Lolita left her and what one guy pulled with her that caused his friend to immediately remove him from the bar. Scarlett then provides an update on the fireman who slipped back in her DMs after a month of ghosting her. She talks about the 8-minute video message that he sent to her and how she responded. Are you a straight woman who admires and enjoys a woman's body? Have you ever encountered your own “Dom Gentleman”? Amy Marcs, Sex and (Self) Love after a Double Mastectomy: In 2009, Amy received a breast cancer diagnosis and intuitively knew that a double mastectomy was her best option—no easy decision for "a petite Jewish girl with great boobs." (No easy decision for anyone, ever). Marcs loved her breasts—her journey through the grieving process is heartbreaking, touching, inspiring and hilarious. It's a grieving process that many sick people can relate to as all of us lose a part of our identities we were once attached to. We get down to business in this episode, intimately discussing sex and (self) love after a double mastectomy. Today, on the other side, Amy (and her new boobs) tours her one woman show, "Nice Tits," and speaks out about the specific pains of breast cancer and double mastectomies. Amy Marcs has been there, done that. She's an actress, playwright, voice-over artist, professor and ordained interfaith minister/spiritual counselor. And...she's also the writer and star of her critically acclaimed one-woman show, "Nice Tits," during which she shares life as a breast cancer patient and survivor. Amy's story is raw, brutally honest and absolutely hilarious. And quite frankly, so is our conversation. So sit back and get to know this warm, open, funny, creative woman.
Amy Marcs is an actor, teacher, and voiceover artist who fought and defeated breast cancer, losing her "great rack" in the process. Now, in her one-woman show, Nice T!ts, she recounts what it was like to go through her battle, come out on the other side without nipples, and explains her new appreciation for the anatomy of a Barbie doll. This episode is as tear-jerking as it is inspiring, and I would be lying if I said I didn't shed a few tears in the editing process. Amy is such a strong, powerful, well-spoken woman, and I am deeply humbled that she shared her story with me. Big thanks to this episode's co-host, Jenise Morgan, for introducing us and helping me host number 15! Nice T!ts will be at The PIT in New York City on Thursday, August 10th. Amy is pairing up with Avon, so a portion of ticket sales will be donated to helping the women who bravely battle breast cancer every single day. You can find Amy at @nicetitstheshow and nicetitstheshow.com. You can find me @thechrisderosa and the show at @loudandcurious. You can find Jenise on backpage.com, she's snookin' for love. SO much more at loudandcurious.com.
