In today's episode I wanted to share openly & honestly how I have built self worth + confidence in myself over the years because I don't think the journey is talked about enough. No one wants to admit that they aren't confidence in themselves or were not confident. & I whole heartedly understand that. & Honestly this episode is very VULNERABLE for me to share but I think it's important. As I recovered from my previous UC flare, I realized I handled things differently than 24-year-old me did, and it came down to this foundation of SELF WORTH that I have built. I remember 23/24 year old me just wanting to feel better about herself. She just wanted to not hate herself. I know 23/24 year old me is so RELIEVED that I finally have some self worth TODAY as a 28 year old woman. In this episode I share: Where I was at 23/24 years old and what contributed to my lack of self-worth My transformation: Where I am TODAY at 28 years oldHow therapy catapulted my self worth journey How deep rooted self-worth goes: it's not in our DNA to feel insecure, we are CONDITIONED. How I started really getting to know myself & OWNING who I am!How being vulnerable with my struggles has EMPOWERED me Connect with the host, Court:Court | Empowerment Coach & Podcaster (@journeytolimitless_) • Instagram photos and videosLove the Journey to Limitless Podcast?Leave us a 5-star rating and review on your favorite listening app! Sometimes if there is not an evident path to take toward our goals, we have to be creative and forge an unconventional path of our own. Today's guest on Lead Sell Grow: The Human Experience podcast is an exceptional example of just that. Starting with nothing, Daniel Priestley has built valuable and scalable businesses in Australia, UK, US/Canada and Singapore. Daniel is the founder of Dent Global and co-founder of ScoreApp, he was named Entrepreneur of the year for 2022, he is a 4 time best-selling author, investor, and leading authority in funding, scaling, and selling businesses. Daniel's Mission is to support entrepreneurs in standing out, scaling, and making a positive impact in the world. In this episode, Daniel shares his story of starting his first company at just 21 years old, and how it went from zero to 10.7 million in 3 years. Daniel has a very unique story of tenacity when he invited several strangers to a dinner party to sell the idea of his first company, Dent Global. Daniel is so passionate about helping entrepreneurs solve problems, that his second company was designed to do just that. Recognizing the popularity of personality quizzes and the fact that so many people love to learn more about themselves, ScoreApp was created to use this natural curiosity and affinity to help entrepreneurs solve a pain point: lead generation. In owning and operating a company, there are many things that can be done wrong, and a narrow path of how to do it right. The ScoreApp aims to help you as a business owner, do things right, but make doing those things much easier and faster to do. ScoreApp not only assists with lead generation, but also customer trust and retention, and highlighting your worth to your customers. Key highlights:Introduction to DanielHow he got to be entrepreneur of the year this yearStarting his own company at 21 years oldHow he started launching his first business by throwing a dinner party with strangersWhy Daniel's first company fell apartThe mistakes he sees entrepreneurs making nowWhat is the first step to doing business right? Is cold calling dead? How Daniel came up with the ScoreApp ideaHow the ScoreApp worksWho can use the ScoreApp, how to use it to the full capacityHeadlines to use when sending the quiz to potential customersHow you would use the ScoreApp differently for cold and warm leadsHow you can use the ScoreApp to prove your worth to clientsWhy you should use quarterly reports in B2B salesHow to get more people to take a ScoreApp quizWhy score cards are great for cross promotionWhy everyone should write a bookThe books Daniel recommendsResources from the episode:Try the ScoreApp for 30 days (the trial is usually 14) using Eric's link here: https://manage.scoreapp.com/registration/sign-up?coupon_code=erickonovalov30Connect with Eric:Be sure to connect with us in our Lead Sell Grow – The Human Experience Tribe Facebook groupPick up your copy of B2B Sales Secrets HereLearn more about our services: www.TheGoalGuide.comImprove your sales and stay connected – Free Gifts Here https://shor.by/TheGoalGuide

This one's a little special. This is me and my husband having a chat about the fact that we are both cancer survivors. We've never actually spoken together like this and so for both of us, it was a bit of a challenge on many fronts. English is Yasu's second language and Japanese is mine, so we've done the broadcast in English and in Japanese (Episode 3). It was a little scary for us going into this conversation. We're talking about something that happened many years ago for my husband (23 years ago) and something relatively recent for me (five years), but you'll hear us talk through some important things about surviving and supporting each other through cancer with the benefit of hindsight. If you enjoyed this episode and it inspired you in some way, we'd love to hear about it and know your biggest takeaway. I reached out to my guest, Hibo Wardere, in this week's episode after hearing her being interviewed on BBC Radio 2 with Jeremy VineShe was real, raw and authentic and wasn't afraid to say it like it was and I thought she was a warrior! And I'm very grateful to say that she has now become a dear friendAt the age of six, she was the victim of type 3 FGM, an event she has described as "being engulfed in pain from head to toe". Every day for the next ten years, she sought answers from her mother, but was always denied a response. When she was 16, she finally struck a deal with a relative, who promised to tell her everything about what happened after her wedding night. She was horrified by the revelations, and soon fled to London after the civil war broke out in the 1989 when she was just a teenager She currently works as a mediator and an FGM educator. Her testimonials and campaigning work have made her one of Britain's most prominent campaigners about FGM and she has appeared in numerous publications including the Telegraph, the BBC and The GuardianSome key points from our interview:How looking back she now understands that she was groomed just before she was cut at six years oldHow she believes that FGM is a form of child abuseHow she has changed from being silenced and introverted by her experience to being outspoken and is passionate about speaking outHow she's never looked back after she was invited to speak at the school she volunteered at, even though she was terrifiedHow she's now determined to do all she can as an FGM activist and speaker, to end this global barbaric practise "I was never broken, I was just hidden under the rubbles of pain" - Hibo Wardere You can get more information about Hibo here: https://www.facebook.com/hibo.wardere                                                                        *                                                   *                                                  *                                                   *"Unbroken: Healing Through Storytelling" features  individuals who have all triumphed after adversity and have not just bounced back in life, but forward and are now making a difference for others.Hosted by Madeleine Black, the show will share stories of all the amazing people Madeleine has met on her own journey as an author/speaker and these stories will heal, motivate, inspire and bring hope when they share their wisdom and knowledge with her.She really believes in the power that comes when we share our stories, that in fact we are not story tellers but story healers. Getting a Good Night's Sleep - For Working Parents of Children Young & Old - How do you feel when you wake up in the morning? Do you need caffeine to get you started? - Are you staying up late just to have time with yourself but know you should be getting to bed? - How do you deal with outside interruptions to sleep? According to the Great British Sleep Survey (2015): “The worst effect of sleep isn’t how it affects us at night it is how it affects us during the day, on a physical level and emotionally.” Any parent can attest this to be true. Sleep deprivation is one of the biggest challenges new parents face. And for some, this can carry on into the toddler years and beyond. Add a busy career in the mix and any relationship or health issues and you have the perfect set up for insomnia or simply just poor-quality sleep. The common mistake many people make when it comes to sleep is focusing on whether they are getting enough. What really matters is the quality. It is absolutely possible to have four hours of quality sleep and feel better for it afterwards. In this podcast Katie and Sam take a deep dive into how parents can improve the quality of sleep including looking at how what you do in your day effects your evening sleep.

Eddie Hamilton, ACE is the editor of Top Gun: Maverick, the last 3 Mission: Impossible films, Kick-Ass 1 & 2, and X-Men: First Class, just to name a few. And in my first interview with Eddie (here's part 2 where he talks about editing Maverick specifically), he and I talk about his early career choices and how he was able to become one of the top feature editors in the world…without ever going to film school. With all the unique stories that come with ‘making it' in Hollywood (or any creative career), it's easy to assume the way someone else became successful could never happen for you. Which is why I'm always trying to boil the process down to simple, actionable steps that anyone can follow to get real results. And those steps include:Choosing the ladder you want to climb (with laser-sharp specificity)Learning, honing, and becoming awesome at your craftMaking sure the right people know you're awesome at your craftIn today's conversation Eddie and I talk about his rise from runner to editor in only six months (working in sports journalism of all places), his journey from editing indie films to becoming an “overnight success,” and the various choices that Eddie made - and more importantly didn't make (i.e. what he strategically said ‘no' to), that helped forge his path to the top. Just a quick note this interview is pulled from deep in the archives way back in the Fitness In Post days, but I promise every single one of Eddie's knowledge bombs are just as relevant today as they were when we originally spoke.Want to Hear More Episodes Like This One?» Click here to subscribe and never miss another episode Here's What You'll Learn:Eddie's background and how his love of film began at seven-years-oldHow to recover from rejectionHis first job in post and how he moved up from a runner to editor in only six months! His big break: working with Matthew VaughnEditing with VHS recordersIs grad school worth the time and money?A day in the life of Eddie HamiltonHis focus on diet and exercise while workingThe sacrifices necessary to succeed in this industryHis process for cutting scenesThe meals and snacks he chooses throughout the day...chocolate includedHow easy it can be to get some exercise into your day -- you don't need to do it all!Good eating habits at workStanding vs. sittingHow what you eat can affect your work for the dayThe differences between working in the US versus other countriesIf you want to succeed more than everyone else, you will succeed!Useful Resources Mentioned:Eddie Hamilton Maverick episodeEp11: Making It In Hollywood as a “Creative” (What They Don't Teach You In Film School) | with Norman HollynHow 'Mission Impossible' Editor Eddie Hamilton Skipped Film School & Worked His Way to Cutting BlockbustersHow To Get Ahead In EditingCutting Mission: ImpossibleContinue to Listen & LearnEp175: Defining Your Own Version of Success & Overcoming the Loneliness of Being a Freelancer | with Michael Bauman I Was Tired of Putting My Kids to Bed via FaceTime Every Night. Shannan Monson is a serial entrepreneur, viral storyteller, and community growth expert who's built multiple seven-figure businesses, supported hundreds of other business owners from zero to six and seven figures, and inspires hundreds of thousands of people every day via her highly-engaged social media platforms. Shannan was one of the first people to truly learn to leverage social media for digital community-building, taking what initially started out as a side hustle in the early days of Instagram to a six-figure business, complete with a studio and storefront marketed exclusively through social media. She has since consulted for some of the fastest-growing lifestyle companies in the world, in industries ranging from wellness to entrepreneurship, and she is regularly featured on NBC, ABC, Entrepreneur, and Good Morning America. Whether she's helping a venture-backed start-up reach their first 50K followers, or teaching entrepreneurs the techniques she uses to bootstrap businesses and reach over one million people per month, it all comes back to the same thing: her unshakeable belief in the power of owning your voice to make a bigger impact. Shannan is currently accepting a limited number of bookings for speaking events and podcast interviews, to find out more, please contact hello@shannanmonson.com.Today on Full Body F*ck Yes:Bisexual awakening while being married to a manFinding who you are by stepping outside of society's boxesTransitioning out of Mormonism & opening up to masturbationShannan's sexual liberation & first orgasm at 27 years oldHow choosing herself led to her businesses thrivingAdvice for pushing past fear & exploring something newFollow Shannan:Website: shannanmonson.com IG: @shannanmonson Connect with Abbey:Instagram: @abbeygibb Website: abbeygibb.comThis show is produced by Soulfire Productions
