I am so so SO delighted to be able to give the world this amazing interview with one of the most beautiful people I've ever known. Emily Perrott's mother Diane was basically the First Lady of our high school. She was diagnosed with cancer when Emily was 17 years old, and in this episode, Emily takes me on the emotional journey that was watching her mother die and talks about the years and struggles that would follow. Amy Marcs is an actor, teacher, and voiceover artist who fought and defeated breast cancer, losing her "great rack" in the process. Now, in her one-woman show, Nice T!ts, she recounts what it was like to go through her battle, come out on the other side without nipples, and explains her new appreciation for the anatomy of a Barbie doll. This episode is as tear-jerking as it is inspiring, and I would be lying if I said I didn't shed a few tears in the editing process. Amy is such a strong, powerful, well-spoken woman, and I am deeply humbled that she shared her story with me.
