We are joined by pop culture royalty this week as we welcome actor and puppeteer Mike Quinn to the show! Though Mike is best known for his portrayal of Nien Nunb in the Star Wars films, his work can also be seen in The Muppets, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Toy Story 2, Jurassic Park 3, and many other films. We talk with Mike about how he started working with puppets, how he came to work with Jim Henson and the Muppets, and his mark on the Star Wars movies.   Having done CG work on Attack of the Clones, bringing to life many of the puppets in Return of the Jedi, and reprising Nien Nunb in The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, you would be hard pressed to find anyone else who can give a more in-depth look at what happens behind the scenes on a Star Wars film. And despite the common error many Star Wars fans make, Mike Quinn is the puppeteer behind Nien Nunb in Return of the Jedi, though many make the mistake thinking that Richard Bonehill was the puppeteer. In truth, the now deceased Mr. Bonehill was an extra that wore the full suit Nien (or Ten) Nunb before George Lucas plucked the background character out of obscurity and Mike Quinn created a puppet to sit with Lando in the cockpit of the Millenium Falcon! Mike will tell us all about it on this week's show! -editors note Richard Bonehill did sell autographed photos of the puppet, but that wasn't Mr. Bonehill.
