We often make the mistake of over-teaching during our launches. While giving value is important, too much teaching can overwhelm your audience, satisfy them prematurely and make them less receptive to your offers. Instead, inspire your audience by helping them adopt more empowering beliefs about what they can achieve. When they see new possibilities for themselves and experience some quick wins, they'll be more open-minded and excited about what you have to share. So don't forget to teach less and inspire more during your launches.Resources:Adaptive Marketing Program - Adaptive Marketing program is an exclusive opportunity for online business owners, coaches, course creators, and membership site owners to play bigger and bolder in their business and explode their bank account with more clients! For a list of our resources & recommendations visit: https://onlinemarketingpodcast.com/learn-with-paul-melissa/Connect with us on social!Instagram:@realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruittFacebook: @realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruitt
COMPASSION AND LOVE!!In Luke 10:25-37, Jesus tells the parable of the Good Samaritan in response to a question posed by a lawyer about inheriting eternal life. The parable illustrates the essence of true compassion and love through the actions of a Samaritan who helps a wounded man left for dead on the roadside.

Don't Kill the Messenger with movie research expert Kevin Goetz
Send Kevin a Text MessageIn this episode of Don't Kill the Messenger, host Kevin Goetz brings together three of his top focus group moderators from Screen Engine to reveal the secrets behind their craft during the filmmaking stage of movie testing. Terri Cavanaugh (VP of Qualitative Insights), Ari Virgil-Paige (Executive VP of the Movie Group), and Aaron Feuer (VP of the Movie Group) reveal how honest audience feedback helps filmmakers perfect their vision. What Makes Focus Groups Essential (01:43) The moderators explain why there's no substitute for hearing verbally from audiences and how focus groups add crucial nuance beyond quantitative data. The Magic First Question (02:28) Aaron reveals the power of asking "Can you give me a word or phrase to describe what you just saw?" and how those initial responses catalyze entire conversations. What Makes a Great Moderator (06:39) The team discusses essential qualities, including curiosity, intuition that can't be taught, and the ability to read a room while multitasking through multiple layers of observation. The Most Important Question (13:24) Each moderator shares their approach to the one question they'd ask if limited to just one, revealing different philosophies about serving the client versus finding truth.Dealing with Naysayers (18:11) The moderators address criticism head-on, explaining why they're advocates for the audience, not critics looking to serve their agendas.Handling Difficult Respondents (26:59) Practical advice on managing disruptive participants, from body language techniques to knowing when to remove someone entirely.Building Trust Quickly (30:22) Techniques for engaging audiences immediately, from working with shy kids to using strategic authenticity to create safe spaces for honest feedback.Filmmaker Appreciation (35:00) Stories of working with receptive movie directors like Peter Farrelly, Paul Feig, Matt Damon, and the Russo Brothers, who embrace the process and see research as a valuable tool. The Art of the Nugget (40:54) How one small audience insight can crack the code and solve major story problems, with examples of breakthrough moments that transformed films. These moderators demonstrate that great focus group leadership combines theatrical instincts, detective curiosity, and empathy for both audiences and filmmakers. Their stories reveal the delicate balance of extracting truth while respecting the creative process. Please leave us a review and share our podcast with others. With marketing, one of the ways that you can get back the expenses that you've paid into, some of your paid advertising to acquire clients, is to have a lot of smaller products to offer your audience as a way to work with them but also, it's going to recoup that cost. When you're thinking about ways to create small offers and ways to work with your audience, think about the pain points that they have. What is one small thing that you can solve for them with an offer?- Maybe it's an e-book that's going to explain the process that you do.- Maybe it's a tutorial of you showing a step-by-step process.A lot of times we over-complicate our offers and thinking that has to be this major, big thing and of course as entrepreneurs and online business owners, a lot of us have those signature programs. But keep in mind there are a lot of opportunities to work with our audiences with smaller offers, offers that are very specific and are going to solve a specific problem for them. What are some different ways that you can work with your audience with smaller offers?Resources:Adaptive Marketing Program - Adaptive Marketing Program is an exclusive opportunity for online business owners, coaches, course creators, and membership site owners to play bigger and bolder in their business and explode their bank account with more clients! For a list of our resources & recommendations visit: https://onlinemarketingpodcast.com/learn-with-paul-melissa/Connect with us on social!Instagram: @realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruittFacebook: @realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruitt

Hey hey! In this bite-sized nugget, I'm bringing you a half-baked but important thought that hit me hard: when did we lose our connection to food—and what did we fill that time with? I'm talking about the slow erosion of food culture, from the rise of shelf-stable convenience to the fact that so many adults don't even know how to cook anymore. We've got all these time-saving devices, but somehow we're more burnt out than ever—and we don't even have time to get our food, let alone cook it. This one's not a rant (okay, maybe a little)—just a gut-check on how “easy” might actually be making things harder. Let's chew on it.Timestamps:(00:01:19) The Impact of Convenience on Cooking Skills(00:02:22) "The Disconnect Between Convenience and Burnout"Jamie's InstagramOh Crap! Cafe Parenting CommunityOh Crap! But the worst part is...we can't really say anything about it. Also, the Rockies drafted Ethan Holliday in the MLB Draft. If you're Matt, how do you feel about your son going to the Rockies given the current state of the organization?33:53 - Brett experienced something this weekend that's completely unacceptable in America. We used to be a country. A proper country.
BLIND FAITH!In Mark 10:46-52, we encounter the powerful story of Bartimaeus, a blind beggar who hears that Jesus is passing by. Bartimaeus, despite his physical blindness, demonstrates a profound spiritual vision. As Jesus approaches, Bartimaeus cries out, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" His persistence and faith shine through the crowd's attempts to silence him.

Memberships don't need to be complicated. One of the biggest challenges we hear from people that are considering a membership is that they're afraid a membership is going to bog them down. They think they're going to be overwhelmed, it's going to be complicated, and it's going to take all their time and effort.I want to remind you that a membership does not have to be complicated. In fact, some of the best memberships are super simple. They just do one thing, they solve one problem, they fix one challenge that their audience is experiencing. So,if you're thinking about putting together a membership, think about that one problem, that one challenge that your audience may be having and how you can solve that problem. What could that be?It's designed to help people think through what a membership might look like for them. No matter your business or membership type, the goal of the workshop is to get you moving down that path as quickly as possible.Resources:Adaptive Marketing Program - Adaptive Marketing Program is an exclusive opportunity for online business owners, coaches, course creators, and membership site owners to play bigger and bolder in their business and explode their bank account with more clients! For a list of our resources & recommendations visit: https://onlinemarketingpodcast.com/learn-with-paul-melissa/Connect with us on social!Instagram: @realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruittFacebook: @realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruitt

When it comes to list building, give yourself some grace, give yourself some time and give yourself permission to test things out.A lot of times we compare ourselves to other people, we see them with big vanity metrics, and we start getting into our own heads thinking we need that too. But here's the thing, it's better to have quality people on our list, to begin with than a big, huge number of unqualified people. We really need to take the time to tune in our messaging, tune in our offers, and make sure we're in front of the right people, because if we get a big vanity metric and attract all the wrong people into our world, what good is it anyway?Give yourself the time and space to build the right foundationResources:Adaptive Marketing Program - Adaptive Marketing Program is an exclusive opportunity for online business owners, coaches, course creators, and membership site owners to play bigger and bolder in their business and explode their bank account with more clients! For a list of our resources & recommendations visit: https://onlinemarketingpodcast.com/learn-with-paul-melissa/Connect with us on social!Instagram: @realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruittFacebook: @realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruitt
THE ONE MEDIATOR!In this verse, the Apostle Paul reminds us of the unique position of Jesus Christ as the sole mediator between us and God. What a comforting truth! We don't need to navigate countless intermediaries or religious rituals to approach our Creator. Jesus stands as the bridge, the one who reconciles us to God.

A lot of times when I am coaching entrepreneurs and business owners, and they're putting together their thoughts and ideas for there offer, they stop themselves before they even get started because they say, “someone's done that already” or “so and so, has a product that's just like that, I can't compare myself to that”, and they freeze and they don't go further with that idea, and that's an awful shame! Because yes, there is a lot of noise out there, there's a lot of competition out there, and I'm sure for every single product or service that's out there, there's a million different options, but the thing that's not out there, is you and your unique voice and what you bring to the table! You have unique experiences, you have knowledge, you have skills that nobody else has, and that's important to remember as you are crafting your offers, because even though it may have been done before by someone else, that's their voice, that's their spin, that's their vibe. You have something unique and different to share!Don't stop yourself before you get started. Put your offers out there, let people know you can help them out, because they're waiting for you, and they need you.Resources:Adaptive Marketing Program - The Adaptive Marketing Program is an exclusive opportunity for online business owners, coaches, course creators, and membership site owners to play bigger and bolder in their business and explode their bank account with more clients! For a list of our resources & recommendations visit: https://onlinemarketingpodcast.com/learn-with-paul-melissa/Connect with us on social!Instagram: @realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruitt Facebook: @realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruitt
THROWING IN THE TOWEL!Wednesday, July 9, 2025 Do you just feel like giving up sometimes and throwing in the towel? Pastor Shane will share encouraging words from the Apostle Paul as he was inspired by the Holy Spirit of God to encourage us.
Do your research!Research is the first step before you get started with building your lead magnet but it's often a step that people skip over. It's very easy to skip past and get right to create an awesome lead magnet that's beautifully designed. But if that lead magnet doesn't speak into the problem, it's not going to do your audience any good.Don't make that mistake. Do your research first, figure out the problems that your audience is having and then base a list builder around that. Then you can create a list builder that's going to naturally lead and bridge into your offer. It all starts with doing the research first. So, get started with that research. Do your homework. It'll be worth it in the long run!Resources:Adaptive Marketing Program - Adaptive Marketing Program is an exclusive opportunity for online business owners, coaches, course creators, and membership site owners to play bigger and bolder in their business and explode their bank account with more clients! For a list of our resources & recommendations visit: https://onlinemarketingpodcast.com/learn-with-paul-melissa/Connect with us on social!Instagram: @realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruittFacebook: @realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruitt Resources:Adaptive Marketing Program - Adaptive Marketing Program is an exclusive opportunity for online business owners, coaches, course creators, and membership site owners to play bigger and bolder in their business and explode their bank account with more clients! For a list of our resources & recommendations visit: https://onlinemarketingpodcast.com/learn-with-paul-melissa/Connect with us on social!Instagram: @realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruittFacebook: @realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruitt

Meet people where they are in their journey. Enter the conversation that they are already having. Now, this takes some research and it takes some time. This takes some awareness. You need a feedback loop. You need to take the time and the effort to go out and see what your people that you're trying to attract into your world are doing. What are they already talking about? What are they already sharing, liking, engaging in? What are they commenting on? What are they already doing today?Because when we enter the conversation already knowing instead of being a stranger entering in an awkward kind of way, you'll be welcomed into the conversation. That, my friend, will completely change the way that you launch. It all starts with being intentional, entering the conversation they are already having and then guiding them into the step where you are able to help them.Resources:Adaptive Marketing Program - Adaptive Marketing Program is an exclusive opportunity for online business owners, coaches, course creators, and membership site owners to play bigger and bolder in their business and explode their bank account with more clients! For a list of our resources & recommendations visit: https://onlinemarketingpodcast.com/learn-with-paul-melissa/Connect with us on social!Instagram: @realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruittFacebook: @realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruitt

The moment something changes, that just means the rules of the game have shifted a bit. What we have to do is just lean into that and adapt.Okay, what are the new rules and what's the game now? What do we need to do? What are we evolving, pivoting, changing so that we can still be on the cutting edge compared to everybody else? There are still buyers in the market that want our thing and every time something shifts and change and everyone's like, “oh my goodness the sky is falling” quietly say to yourself, you know what, what opportunity does this change create? What opportunity does this change create? Because I need to see where the new opportunities are, where the new advantages are, and then I can just slide right in while everybody else is pining over how things used to be.Here's the thing, anybody that comes in new today or new tomorrow, they don't know how things used to be and they're going to be successful. They're going to figure it out like where they are, right this second and I want you to do the exact same thing because there are always going to be changes.Marketing is always going to be evolving, shifting and molding so we can't be caught up in how we did things 5 years ago, last year or even six months ago.Embrace change, that is so vitally important especially when it comes to marketing because it's all about being adaptive. The common mistake that people go through when launching is to over-deliver.They get really excited and want to give value. So they give their audience everything that they got. They overwhelm their audience with so much information that they are probably not ready to make that buying decision. They'll say: “You gave me so much to think about. I'm gonna work on this first before they go into your paid offer.”So, deliver value to your audience and focus on what things they need to be aware of that's gonna help them with solving their problem. But save the “How” to solve that problem for the paid offer.Give your audience a great launch experience, but not give away everything. What's the most common mistake that people make during a launch? They over-teach and over-deliver content. They are thinking: “I need to deliver. I need to show up with my best stuff.” Yes, you should definitely do that. But if you overwhelm people and make them feel that your launch content is everything that they actually need to have the transformation that you're promising, they will not desire to come into your offer. So find the right balance between giving value during your launch and leaving your audience to desire more.Resources:Adaptive Marketing Program - The Adaptive Marketing Program is an exclusive opportunity for online business owners, coaches, course creators, and membership site owners to play bigger and bolder in their business and explode their bank account with more clients! For a list of our resources & recommendations visit: https://onlinemarketingpodcast.com/learn-with-paul-melissa/Connect with us on social!Instagram: @realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruitt Facebook: @realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruitt

Sales is a process! It's taking your audience through the buyer's journey by building like, know and trust with your audience. The first thing is to connect with your audience so that they have an opportunity to get to know who you are as individual. This is an opportunity for you to share a little bit about yourself, your family, things that you like to do outside of work… things like hobbies or what you like to do to relax. Just give your audience a little bit of insight as to who you are and that will allow you to connect with them. Another way to connect with your audience is to invite them into your world by sharing a bit of what goes on behind the scenes. Share exactly what you are doing in your business, share “a day in the life”, give them a sneak peek as to what life looks like for you, and invite them into your world. Doing this builds that like, know and trust so that they're more likely to work with you in the future. To help build trust with your audience, work on positioning yourself as an expert. This shows them that you are the go-to person and it builds that trust and knowing that they have someone that they can rely on if they have a challenge in a particular area that they're seeking help for.So by positioning yourself as an expert, it shows your audience that you have their back, you have the knowledge, the skills, and the expertise to help them and that is going to lead them to your offer.Remember, sales is a process, so be strategic in your marketing and help your audience build like, know, and trust with you! When it comes to creating content, it's really important that we pay attention to what our audience wants because they're going to tell you right away and give you that feedback whether or not what you're putting out there is something that they're interested in.Sometimes that feedback can be hard to hear but when you pay attention, you can create an awesome content plan that makes sense for your audience, it feels good for you to produce and it's a win-win for everyone! Are you ready to listen to your audience?Resources:Adaptive Marketing Program - Adaptive Marketing Program is an exclusive opportunity for online business owners, coaches, course creators, and membership site owners to play bigger and bolder in their business and explode their bank account with more clients! For a list of our resources & recommendations visit: https://onlinemarketingpodcast.com/learn-with-paul-melissa/Connect with us on social!Instagram: @realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruittFacebook: @realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruitt
6.24.25 Hour 2, Michael Wilbon from ESPN joins the Kevin Sheehan Show to evaluate the outcome of the NBA Finals and the playoffs as a whole. Kevin Sheehan goes over a hypothetical scenario where the Commanders could trade for edge rusher T.J. Watt, but give up Terry McLaurin in the deal.
We really need to take the time to tune in our messaging, tune in our offers, and make sure we're in front of the right people, because if we get a big vanity metric and attract all the wrong people into our world, what good is it anyway?Give yourself the time and space to build the right foundation.Resources:Adaptive Marketing Program - Adaptive Marketing Program is an exclusive opportunity for online business owners, coaches, course creators, and membership site owners to play bigger and bolder in their business and explode their bank account with more clients! For a list of our resources & recommendations visit: https://onlinemarketingpodcast.com/learn-with-paul-melissa/Connect with us on social!Instagram: @realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruittFacebook: @realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruitt

Oh, my goodness, here comes the controversy... You do not have to give all the good stuff away for free!Often in marketing circles, you'll hear people say that you need to give your good stuff away for free in order to lead people in. And I want to put a little asterisk right there beside that statement.I'm going to have you sit back and think about this...Of course, we want to attract and bring people to our offer, our coaching program, our course, our membership, or whatever our thing is but we need to look at this a little differently. We don't want to put junk into the market, but we also don't want to give all the good stuff away for free!Everything that we cover, whatever info we provide is to give people a little taste, it's just a sample of the real thing. It's to draw them in so they want the real deal. So, go ahead and put your best stuff out there, but with a little asterisk. Give them a sample and create a desire for more!Resources:Adaptive Marketing Program - The Adaptive Marketing Program is an exclusive opportunity for online business owners, coaches, course creators, and membership site owners to play bigger and bolder in their business and explode their bank account with more clients! For a list of our resources & recommendations visit: https://onlinemarketingpodcast.com/learn-with-paul-melissa/Connect with us on social!Instagram: @realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruitt Facebook: @realpaulpruitt & @realmelissapruitt
