Last time on the Tales of Archeron, the Tempests made their way into the Orc Lands and rescued Pez's forever friend and companion, Hambjerger, a small velociraptor who now seemed capable of growing to immense size after his rebirth thanks to a blessing given to him by the deity, Coyote. But the Tempests weren't done here. Lakin has a task left to complete. A promise. A Pact made with the deity Ceto to eliminate a tribe known as the Bloodmoon Clan who were polluting her shores. Returning to the Mountaintooth clan to report their successful hunt, many unknowns and uncertainties made themselves known. Their guide Bogbo seemed to have lost his ability to manifest his psychic daggers. Rellka the Shaman of the Mountaintooth clan felt uneasy, and when prompted, seemed unable to cast her own magic. - Pez's spells seemed to falter and struggle to complete. Many attempts to speak with the party's individual deities were made, and many did not answer. Though a bit shaken by these events, the Tempests had made a promise to help Lakin with his task, and they intended to see that promise through. The Tempests headed south towards the Bloodmoon clan and came upon a patrol heading north. Lakin, Pez, and Bogbo flew out to investigate and kidnapped one of the goblins in the patrol to question them. When the goblin's usefulness came to an end, he was promptly dealt with by letting gravity do it's job. We rejoin them now as Pez finishes tossing a fireball at the patrol and eliminates a sizeable chunk of their forces. We have merch! Tom Reilly, president of VMI Sports, brings a perspective from all over the industry, and he’s got a lot of educational things to say. Two decades spent at GNC, then in natural food distribution at UNFI, and eventually as a purchasing director and director at Lone Star Distribution gave him an unusually complete map of how supplements actually move through the market. VMI grew out of that experience, launched as a house brand for Lone Star in 2012 before Tom took it full time in late 2015, and has been grinding ever since — bootstrapped, profitable, and growing every single year. In Episode #205 of the PricePlow Podcast, Mike and Ben sit down with Tom to cover the full arc: how VMI got started, what distribution taught him that brand founders usually learn the hard way, the evolution from specialty sports nutrition into grocery chains, the K-XR pre-workout legacy, the PEZ collaboration strategy, and some genuinely exciting teases for what’s coming in 2026, including two canned beverages that are neither energy drinks nor protein sodas. This is a good one, and Tom’s willingness to mentor others shines through, as we learned a lot in this one – and we guarantee you will too. Picking up where we last left off, the Tempests returned to the continent of Drago to find an old friend, and to commit a wee bit'o genocide. After a short stint in High Tide to give their sentient cart Cassie some upgrades, they headed inland to the Orc Tribe's territory. Their guide, Bogbo, led them north along the foot of the mountains to find the Mountaintooth clan, who were widely regarded as the smartest group of greenskins. Though irritating, the Mountaintooth Chieftain gave them directions on where to find a so-called 'White Death' that was new to the area and was causing them some strife, namely displacing an infamous creature known as an Aashkaht. Tracking the White Death to 'The Old Vein', an abandoned mine owned by the Mountaintooth clan, they discovered that this new beastie was their resurrected friend Hambjerger: A murderous little velociraptor and forever friend and companion of Pez. Returning to Cassie, the Tempests found that she was under attack by an Aashkaht and quickly leapt to her rescue. Though it was a formidable beast, it was no match for the Tempests and Hambjerger who seems to have gained the ability to grow in size. We rejoin the Tempests now as they return to the Mountaintooth Clan after slaying the Aashkaht and night begins to fall. We have merch!

Dan, Daedalus and Julie Julie Pedroncelli from Pedroncelli Winery is back on California Wine Country with Dan Berger and Daedalus Howell. She has been on the show before, the last time was this episode of last January. Dan describes the current slowdown in the wine business. The other times that the wine market went soft, there were one or two causes, but today there are several causes. But the benefit to the consumer is, the longer it takes to sell the wine, the more the wine improves. The Pedroncelli family has owned the property for almost 100 years. The vineyards are very carefully farmed and they take great care making their portfolio of wines. “Four generations and still going strong,” says Julie. Her grandparents put down roots in Dry Creek Valley outside of Geyserville. They bought a property in 1927 that had a vineyard and a shuttered winery. The previous owners were making wine as far back as the early 1900s. Their winemaker Montse Reese just completed her 18th harvest at Pedroncelli. They produce mostly Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and a few red wine blends. Her father is 94 and retired just a few years ago. CWC is brought to you by Deodora Estate Vineyards. Visit Deodora to discover 72 acres in the Petaluma Gap that are producing exceptional Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Riesling. Sip the difference! Sauvignon Blanc and Zinfandel Julie has brought the “block party” today, with single-vineyard wines that represent certain blocks in the Pedroncelli vineyards. She has brought a Sauvignon Blanc, which they will start with, before moving on to the Zinfandel and others. “White wine is always good to start with.” This Block 11 reserve Sauvignon Blanc, vintage 2024, is not their regular production. It is a special designation reserve. Block 11 showcases the grassier, herbaceous side of SV and Montse Reese thought the neutral oak would bring out that side of SV without overdoing it. Daedalus detects a bit of Pez candy flavor, which Dan thinks is like green mint. Next is a Block 13 Zinfandel from 2023 which was a cool year. This is a little spicy, with a bit of black pepper flavors, and a raspberry note that Dan says is a characteristic of Dry Creek Valley Zins. Block 13 has had Zinfandel grown on it for over 100 years. It is the third generation of Zinfandel vines on the property. Some of the vines are 100 years old but they have replanted twice. It was Zinfandel, then Petit Syrah, then back to Zin. Montse found that this block stands out and merits a single-vineyard bottling. They used bud wood from the Rockpile vineyard for the planting and Montse also uses a yeast that was developed at Rockpile. Julie describes its character as feminine, not high in alcohol, very delicate in its fruit, “…it doesn’t hit you over the head, it’s not a fruit bomb, it’s more like a light spice bomb,” says Julie. Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah The Cabernet Sauvignon needs to breathe, decanted it would be a little more open. The long finish is not oak, though, it’s all the flavors you want in Cab without the other flavors like too much Oak. Dan Berger will be opening a 1966 Louis Martini Barbera next week for a special occasion. There are two Masters of Wine candidates from Taiwan who are taking a course at the Flamingo. Dan has met them and they expressed interest in an old California wine. Dan has one of two remaining bottles. He will open one for the students at Ca’ Bianca in Santa Rosa, along with two or three other wines from the era. The fourth wine they taste today is the Pedroncelli Syrah. Dan says he has never heard of anything like this before. It is a lower-alcohol Syrah, about 12%. This one was earlier harvested, to make a lighter style of red with lower alcohol. They picked two or three weeks before they otherwise would have.

[School of Movies 2025] This is a commissioned episode for our hardworking Pez-loving Discord moderator Mike Hasko. It's a relic from 1993, a period just after the Cold War and not too long before the War on Terror, and the focus is on a middle-aged, white, American, divorced, straight, cis, male office-worker who one boiling hot Los Angeles morning decides that he has had enough. The man known throughout most of the movie by his personalised license plate as D-FENS (played with vigour by Michael Douglas in this memorable and divisive Joel Schumacher joint) steps out of the car he leaves stuck in traffic, walks across a city that is not designed for pedestrian travel, and clashes with everyone who gets in his way. The creative team are really trying to have their cake and eat it by making the protagonist also the antagonist and how much they succeed or fail is very much down to the perception of the viewer. Pull up a breakfast 'Whomelette' and an ice-cold, aggressively-priced can of Coca Cola and we shall guide you through this eventful day.

This podcast covers New Girl Season 5, Episode 11, The Apartment, which originally aired on March 15, 2016 and was written by Nina Pedrad and directed by Christine Gernon. Here's a quick recap of the episode:Cece is finally moving into the loft, and Jess is torn between helping her best friend pack up and scrambling to fix a surprise school budget mess her boss conveniently “forgot” to mention. Meanwhile, Winston learns the hard way that his new partner, Dunston, might be a bigger challenge than hiding his feelings for Aly.This episode got a 8/10 rating from Kritika whose favorite character was Schmidt and Kelly rated this episode a 8.5/10 and her favorite character was Jess!Episode Sections:(00:00) Welcome (01:52) Episode Recap: Packing up Cece's Apartment + Jess's Job(27:03) Episode Recap: Flasher + Winston's New Partner(42:20) Schmidtism(43:59) Pop Culture(48:42) Guest Stars(51:09) Trivia & Fun Facts + Bear Hunt(56:21) Rating & Favorite Character(59:32) SpoilersWhile not discussed in the podcast, we noted other references in this episode including:Paul Reiser / Dave Coulier / Urinetown / Pez - While returning Winston's belongings, Aly listed him having a signed biography of Paul Reiser, a photo of him with Dave Coulier, a ticket stub from Urinetown, and loose Pez. Looney Tunes - Jess commented one of the items Cece was deciding to get rid of or not was a wine stained sweatshirt with an off-brand Looney Tunes character named “George Bunny” on it. Green Bay Packers - Jess tried to make a pun to emphasize Cece was a bad packer, saying “Your favorite team is the Green Bay, NOT Packers”.G8 Summit / Climate Change - Winston made a joke about the G8 Summit and climate change to signify the mood had changed. Jackson 5 - Aly questioned whether or not Winston was referencing a song by the Jackson 5 when he said, "I want you back." David Letterman - Schmidt mentioned that he wanted to hear all of Cece's stories unless he gets tinnitus, to which he then commented that David Letterman had tinnitus. This is a special episode - it was recorded live in London in November 2024, in front of our largest audience EVER. The crowd were red hot, and we told the story of a kooky character who went on quite the adventure and made a lot of money, all in the pursuit of Pez.This is a comedy/history podcast, the report begins at approximately 06:33 (though as always, we go off on tangents throughout the report). For all our important links: https://linktr.ee/dogoonpod Check out our other podcasts:Book Cheat: https://play.acast.com/s/book-cheatPrime Mates: https://play.acast.com/s/prime-mates/Listen Now: https://play.acast.com/s/listen-now/Who Knew It with Matt Stewart: https://play.acast.com/s/who-knew-it-with-matt-stewart/Our awesome theme song by Evan Munro-Smith and logo by Peader ThomasDo Go On acknowledges the traditional owners of the land we record on, the Wurundjeri people, in the Kulin nation.
