In this episode, Ryan Beagley, host of Green Up Podcast and Lucky to be Dad Podcast, usurps control of the 250th episode of Dropping Loads. He takes Milky, Pouch, Ness, and SPJ on a journey through earnest reflection, games, and several dick & fart jokes, despite some obstacles set forth by SPJ. Milky issues a challenge to the chickens of the world. Ness is fascinated by an uncomfortable type of discharge. Pouch suffers his most humiliating defeat ever. Pouch here. This is it, guys. Our 250th episode. It's cliche to say, but we honestly never thought we'd get to this point. It's mostly because we never look too far into the future. Enjoy this extremely fun episode hosted by the one and only Ryan Beagley. Huge thanks to Ryan for coming in clutch and helping us ring in this landmark episode. Intro/Outro: El Henno - Metal Ness Riff 2. In this horribly recorded episode, Pouch attempts to use a new software to record a podcast with a friend living across the country and fails. Good friend and DLP supporter Ryan Beagley of Green Up Podcast and Lucky to be Dad Podcast chats with Pouch about death, podcasting, and the correct choice of food to eat before taking a dump on Trump's face. Pouch here. Hello, out there! Is there anyone left listening? We're sort of back after our hiatus. Partly due to mourning our good friend and another because Milky went to Uruguay to visit family. I decided it was finally time to reach out and speak with our good friend Ryan Beagley. He's been a supporter for years and I just thought it would something fun while Milky was out. Sincerest apologies for the absolute shit quality. I think my Internet fucked me over. It's hard to say why my track came out as bad as it did. Intro/outro: Mel Brooks - To Be or Not To Be (The Hitler Rap). Check out Ryan Beagley's podcasts: Green Up Podcast and Lucky to be Dad Podcast. A landmark episode of Graphic Novice, where VF & Nickel bring their 'D' game and continue to try and hammer down the format and spend less time talking about nothingness... to no avail. During the "General Banter" segment, after Nickel's microphone tries to ruin the podcast, the final episode of the show (episode 100) is discussed, the last episode of The Walking Dead, the guys toss around ideas for a new segment, probiotic gut bacteria, bidets, the invitation to present a "Floppy Award" for the History of Bad Ideas Podcast, Mr. Bloom and Poison Ivy... and theories are floated about the downtrodden state of fellow podcaster, Ryan Beagley from the Green Up podcast. VF throws a twist in "VF vs. The Marvel Trivia Box" after being repeatedly shamed for his performance... The new segment is titles "VF & Nickel vs. The Marvel Trivia Box". After a brief "Comic News" segment, the guys discuss comics released on October 7, 2015 during "Rapid Fire Review". The books discussed include Jughead #1, Batman & Robin Eternal #1, Detective Comics #45, Paper Girls #1, Southern Bastards #11, Starve #5, Avengers #0, Doctor Strange #1, and Secret Wars #6. Thanks so much for listening.
The least informed comic book podcast returns the week before the much anticipated 2015 Rose City Comicon in Portland Oregon. Nickel has flaked out, and the guys spend a significant amount of time discussing the great betrayal. After the details of Nickel's absence from Portland are discussed, and VF shoulders the responsibility of representing Graphic Novice in Portland we move onto the aftermath of VF's 40th birthday, and our attempt to piss off Jason Brigger. VF almost picks a fight with Ryan Beagley, Nickel questions the format of the show, VF's chickens, Sue's Coffee, and Nickel's appearance on the Podcast Without Borders, episode #31 (not necessarily in that order). In comic news, we discuss Rachel McAdams hotness, the five books being cancelled by DC comics, contraversay surrounding friend of the show, Greg Capullo, the X-Men and the Terrigen Mists, and at long last, comic sales for July 2015. The Graphic Novice Comic Book then introduces a new segment... VF vs. Marvel Comics Trivia! In "Rapid Fire Review" we discuss the comics that were born unto this world on September 2 & September 9, including Broken World #4, Detective Comics #44, Green Lantern #44, The Empty #6, Lazarus #19, We Stand On Guard #3, Daredevil #18, Silk #7, Lantern City #5, Batman #44, Earth 2 Society #4, Deadly Class #16, Outcast #12, and Starve #4. We wrap things up with a look ahead to the comics being released on September 16, 2015, and a final look ahead towards Portland. Thank you so much once again for spending some time with us.
