Donald Trump splits with Benjamin Netanyahu and acknowledges that Gaza is experiencing "real starvation"—but will he pressure Israel to end the war and allow more aid in? Lovett, Favreau, and Tommy react to the latest developments in Gaza, Trump's shifting and typically incoherent comments on the situation, and why it's time for Democrats to change their approach to Israel. Then, they dive into Trump's new story about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and check in on that "free" plane he received from the Qatari government. Later, Tommy sits down with Israeli journalist Amir Tibon to discuss how the aid shortages in Gaza got so bad, and how Israel's far right influences Netanyahu. This isn't about policy; it's about power. A cabinet secretary's casual suggestion to replace deported farm-workers with able-bodied Medicaid recipients is a chilling glimpse into a heartless agenda. This isn't just incompetence; it's cruelty dressed up as a solution. They expect the poor to pick up the slack created by their own inhumane policies. It's a sick joke, and it's a blatant disregard for human dignity. But it's not just about cheap labor. It's about dismantling the social safety net, brick by brick. Christian nationalists are using their influence to exploit loopholes and undermine the Johnson Amendment. They're trying to transform churches into political action committees, blurring the lines between faith and fascism. Pastor Ralph Drollinger, the so-called spiritual advisor to Congress, is preaching a gospel of poverty as punishment. His twisted interpretation of scripture justifies starving the poor to line the pockets of the wealthy. And who benefits from this? The rich, of course. Tax cuts for the wealthy are their holy grail, even if it means sacrificing the vulnerable to the altar of greed. They're betting that you'll be too distracted by culture wars to notice them looting the treasury. They're selling you a snake oil solution to a problem they created. Don't fall for it. This isn't about economics; it's about a systematic dismantling of compassion and justice. It's time to fight back before it's too late.Full Show Notes and Links UsedSend us a textSupport the showSubscribe to our free newsletterCheck out our MerchFollow us on BlueskyFind us on Twitter(for now) Find us on InstagramFind us on Counter SocialFind us on Mastadon
Romans 8:32, "He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all--how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?" This glorious promise carries us from Calvary's crimson hill, to the spacious plains of God's boundless provision. The Father, having offered His beloved Son as a substitutionary sacrifice for His people, thereby demonstrated that every cost of our redemption was borne in full. If the Sovereign of Heaven did not count the anguish of Golgotha too great to spare His only-begotten Son, then will He now withhold from us any good thing? Never! The gift of Christ for our salvation, secures every lesser gift. As we behold the infinite compassion manifested in the cross, we trust that such love will daily supply our every need. If God did not spare His beloved Son for us, then He will withhold no needful blessing from those for whom Jesus died. If God has given you Jesus, then He has engaged all the riches of Heaven for your good. He who gave the greater, will not deny the lesser. If God feeds His birds, then surely He will not starve His babes. Free pardon and full forgiveness, grace along the way, and glory at the end--all this our Savior has promised to give. Believer, when fear whispers that your burdens exceed your Father's care, return to Calvary. There you see the height of His giving--and there you find the answer to your every need. Rather than sinking under anxiety, let faith boldly think: "Will my God, who gave His darling Son for my salvation--refuse to give me daily bread, comfort in sorrow, or needed strength? No trial can outstrip His upholding grace; no Scriptural request can exceed His generosity. Heavenly Father,

In this powerful message, Pastor Marcus Mecum dives into Genesis 21:1-14 and reminds us that our mistakes don't have to define our future. Abraham made a mistake when he tried to force God's promise on his own terms, but God still kept His word.Your miracle and your mistake can't live under the same roof. At some point, you have to decide which one you're going to feed.

Today, John opens up about the emotional complexity of leaving Los Angeles for a new chapter in Costa Rica. He delves into the ideas of the "remembering self" and the "experiencing self," revealing how our memories often shape — and sometimes distort — the way we make decisions. I'm running a 7-Day "Done with the Bullsh*t" Detox — this isn't the kind with green juice and caffeine withdrawals. It's a soul-level cleanse. Here's what you'll detox each day: Day 1: Cancel old contracts — the silent agreements you never meant to make. Day 2: Break up with people-pleasing and reclaim your no. Day 3: Unfollow the fantasy and stop chasing someone else's timeline. Day 4: Mute your inner critic and replace it with compassion. Day 5: Cut out comparison and come back to your own path. Day 6: Starve the reflex to fix everything — choose stillness instead. Day 7: Fast from the noise and finally hear yourself again. This isn't about becoming someone new. It's about coming home to who you've always been. This challenge is only $7 and starts June 16th. SIGN UP HERE. Order John's new book, Break Up. On Purpose, HERE Jump into John's new Single. Mentally ill inmates are at risk of neglect, dehydration – even starvation. New Yorker staff writer Sarah Stillman joins host Krys Boyd to discuss the four-fold increase since the 1980s of people in jail awaiting trial, the increasingly outsized population of mentally unwell people lacking proper treatment, and the alarming rise in jail deaths that could've been prevented with better supervision. Palestinians in Gaza are beginning to starve as Israel continues to block humanitarian aid from coming in, with Israeli-U.S. aid efforts being overrun on the ground. Russia is preparing for a summer offensive in Ukraine while Zelensky shores up support from allies around the world and Trump even starts to get irritated with Putin. And the U.S. economy is taking one on the chin, with more tariff stuff from the White House and the “Big Beautiful Bill” passing in the House, despite business leaders and, well, everyone having something to dislike about it. Netaynayu's starvation of Gaza plan is in full effect... intentionally blocking international food aid and watching 2 million Palestinians starve to death.... this is a war crime, this is the stuff of demons, and yes Benjamin Netanyahu is a demon, that's no longer up for debate, even Trump administration officials are saying this behind closed doors.

In 1845, a novel pathogen attacked potato fields across Europe, from Spain to Scandinavia—but only in Ireland were the effects apocalyptic. At least one million Irish people died, and millions more scattered across the globe, emigrating to new countries and continents. Less than fifty years after the union of Ireland with the rest of Great Britain, the newly formed United Kingdom—the most powerful country in the nineteenth-century world—failed millions of its own citizens, leading to decades of poverty, ecological ruin, and collective trauma. How did this happen? Today’s guest Padraic Scanlan recontextualizes the disaster’s origins, events, and consequences in his new book “Rot: An Imperial History of the Irish Famine.” We situate the Irish Great Famine in a larger history of economic consolidation and exploitation caused by British policies toward Ireland. The blight that decimated the potato plants was biological, but the Famine itself was manmade, caused by the British government’s structures of land ownership, labor, and rent collection. The real tragedy of the Famine wasn’t that the British maliciously intended and propagated starvation, but that their efforts to address the “Irish Question” only exacerbated the problem.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
