The value God places on people because they belong to Him makes the salvation of those who were once lost a matter for great celebration, not just for Him, but for us also!
Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost. In today's passage, He pictures that in two word pictures - a shepherd seeking a lost sheep and a woman seeking a lost coin. When that which is lost has been found, there is great rejoicing.
Sometimes we may see one person spending time with another and we wonder how it happened. How did they come together? They don't seem to have anything in common. It appears they have come from two different worlds. But yet, they have come together in friendship. What brings a relationship like this together? And it begs the question, how did Jesus decide who He would spend time with?

Part of our training in godliness is learning to celebrate what God is doing in our lives. This episode is a little long, but the testimonies are worth listening to.
We've been studying who Jesus is and the power of His revolutionary cause. This week, we celebrate the ways we've come together to make an impact for good. It's what Jesus is all about and what we want to be all about at Grace.

God seeks us and finds us. God doesn’t wait for us to bridge the gap, God takes the initiative and comes to us.
Almost our entire cultural heritage expects us to search for and find personal happiness, meaning and purpose to our lives, and a spiritual identity or relationship with God. Jesus tells two parables describing a search: a shepherd looking for a sheep, and a woman looking for a lost coin. Who is the searcher in these stories? Who is the searcher in our lives? What do these parables tell us about finding? Larry Hayward preaches today from Luke 15:1-10.
