Mary Magdalene was among the inner circle of Jesus. Luke tells us that she and other women Jesus healed, traveled with Jesus and the 12 disciples using their own money to support Jesus' ministry. (Luke 8:1-3) After Jesus' disciples had all abandoned Him, Mary Magdalene, along with John and the other 2 Mary's, remained at the cross continuing her support to the end. (Matthew 27:55-56).  And then, Mary Magdalene was the first to see Jesus alive! Jesus tasked her with telling the others that He was not dead, but alive. Still Jesus' student, she obeyed her teacher's instructions and told the disciples that she had indeed ‘seen the Lord'The hero of this story is God who “delivered Mary from the dominion of darkness and transferred her into the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” (Colossians 1:13-14) Jesus called to Mary by name, opening her eyes to His presence, turning her sorry into Joy and giving her the job of telling all the others about His resurrection.We have the same Savior who calls to each of us by name and offers us His rescue and turns our sorrow into Joy! We get to share the same message that Mary did all those years ago. We get to share the hope and joy of the Gospel to everyone!

This week, Pastor Matt takes us through Colossians 1, and teaches us how we are all in Christ, and Christ is in us.

Last week, Autumn talked about how we sometimes get in the way of God's "yes". But how do we react when God says no? Do we get frustrated? Do we lose our faith? Should we write off God completely?   No, we press INTO the season and let our faith move our feet.  Even when God said no to His own Son, STILL Jesus persevered to the point of death on a cross for OUR salvation! The "no" does not negate our faith, instead, it presses us forward to a loving God that wants to see us grow!

Peter had denied the Lord. Still Jesus came to meet him .. healing his wound, giving him purpose, showing how he would glorify God, and once again saying, “follow me.”

In the Apostle John’s message to the Church’s at: Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea: He counsels that Tough Love; also rebukes, chastens, is sometime very intense, geared to lead to repentance still means love. He wants us and the Churches to learn and remember. Sometimes the application of love requires extreme zeal, vigor, and to be administered avidly. Tough Love Still Means Love! Shai Linne was on the Wade O radio show and discussed his new album and the changes that have taken place in the Christian hip-hop world since 2012. The record is called Still Jesus “The main point of Still Jesus is simple: We live in turbulent times, where things seem to shift more and more quickly. With all the changes of the past few years in society, the Church, and Christian Hip-hop, Jesus Christ hasn't changed. Hebrews 13:8- ‘Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.’ Our main problem- fallen humanity’s sin before a Holy God- is still the same. And the solution to that problem- the gospel- is still the same. At the end of the day, It’s still all about Jesus,” Linne said of the album. . In this episode we will look at five things that shows that God's glory is Departed from an individual. Number one to disobedience the decree the departure the disapproval and the destruction.

Earlier this month, a debate long familiar within the Christian hip-hop (CHH) community resurfaced when rapper Shai Linne released "Still Jesus." Throughout the album Linne suggests that CHH musicians whose tracks focus less explicitly on Jesus and who now professionally or personally associate with secular artists could be risking the integrity of the community. CHH musicians have the freedom to change the focus of their music, says DJ Cut No Slack, a former member of early CHH group I.D.O.L. King. For those who say, “‘Hey, I don’t want to be called Christian MC anymore.’ Okay, well why? That would be a question I’d have,” said Slack. “Why don’t you? I think there needs to be a real answer or clarification as to why you don’t want to be, especially since you came out that way, and I’ve been following you for years and now you want to switch. But guess what? You have the right to change your mind.” Part of that means that fans must be willing to let their favorite artists change. “On the church’s side, we have to make space for people to be who they are and change because they are not mandated in Scripture that everything you did in artistic form must proclaim the birth and resurrection of Jesus,” he said. Slack joined assistant editor Morgan Lee and editor in chief Mark Galli to discuss the historical context of Linne’s critique, what fans and MCs owe each other, and what Christians without a public artistic presence can learn from the controversy.

No matter what is going on in your life, Jesus is still Jesus. No matter what has happened in the past, is going on right now, or will happen in the future, Jesus is still Jesus.
